  1. If the Mk1 is anything to go by there will be some quite good deals on ex demonstrators around fairly soon. It didn't take long for me to find mine after the release of the Mk1. Prices dropped to the low 30ks quite quickly for an ex demo and I expect the same will happen with these.
  2. For some of us the mark 2 is too close to the standard 370 in looks. I like the new one a lot but wouldn't swap and I can assure you that 'gutted' isn't a feeling any of us Mark 1 owners get from our cars. Wasn't ment to rattle anyone's cage just my opinion ... It is odd though that nissan brought out a newer version so quick though, and people being people will always want the newer version of the nismo IMO . No worries. Horses for courses. i do like the Mk2 but having had two 370s before the Nismo already, it wouldn't be distinctive enough for me. It's a bit too subtly different to the standard 370. I can see it makes more sense if you're upgrading from a 350. Truth is I doubt it will make much difference to sales - so few people buy 370s of any sort.

  4. Still prefer my Mk1 but very nice car and glad you're enjoying it.
  5. I'd be glad too. Even if you lost the £20, at least you don't have to go to the hassle of having to cancel all your cards etc, and you get the wallet back! lol Yeah - I was chuffed to get it back and her nice gesture took the edge off feeling bad that someone had taken the money.
  6. Lost my wallet in Twickenham a few months back. A very nice girl from one of the local shops found it in the street and brought it to the house. Unfortunately, somebody had got to it before her and liberated the £20 cash I had in it, but I was chuffed that she'd made the effort to bring it to me.
  7. I quite fancy one for my next car too but was under the impression that 2011 onwards had the advantage of an improved transmission and yearly instead of six monthly services. Not sure though....
  8. I love these 'Any solicitors...?' threads. Three things about lawyers: Not all lawyers know all of the law. No half decent lawyer will give out legal advice on a public forum. Very few lawyers will give free advice in any circumstances.
  9. I'm still torn between the 2, both pretty different cars really. The styling, engine noise and exclusivity all plus points of the 370 but the interior, convertible, build quality, engine and gear box all plus points of the Z4 So any 2010 370 with sat nav should have the pemium system with touchscreen? Hopefully the one I posted above (which I'm test driving Friday) will do so then. Seen a lovely black edition for sale but I just don't like black cars I'm leaning towards white or blue if it is to be a 370! I guess I'll know better which I prefer when I drive the 370 on Friday! Simple way to check for Connect Premium is to see if it has touch screen controls. A further check is to look in the cubby between the seats for a USB port. I believe all 2010 cars onwards are Connect Premium. I'm not a huge fan of black cars either but don't forget the Black Edition also came in this colour. Known as Quartz... . The blue looks good as well though.
  10. Stillen fits perfectly on the Nismo too
  11. Dimensions here: http://370zexhaust.com
  12. 370. Obviously. In terms of best balance of features for price I'd suggest a 2010 or 2011. As said above, the only really significant enhancement to the standard 370 has been the Connect Premium sat nav, which you'll get on anything 2010 onwards. The Black Editions are a good buy these days..... Don't forget to budget for an exhaust.
  13. I'm also on the Strand. (although today I'm in Istanbul, where it's cold, miserable and wet). Haha probably pass me every day! I work at 80 Strand, the office next door to the Savoy Cool. I'm at the High Court. So we live and work in close proximity.

  15. http://www.ultimatecarmats.co.uk/choose_material.asp I prefer rubber mats all year round - much easier to keep clean. I got these (the heavy duty rubber ones). Not cheap but they're incredibly durable - had the same set in my last two Zs and they're still going strong
  16. Me too. I'm definitely turning into an old fart. Whenever I see videos like the one in the first post I think that the other drivers on the road must be thinking....what a pair of tools.
  17. Thanks GM. I'll see how it goes. Be a shame to lose the Cats.
  18. Studied politics and philosophy at Uni 20 years ago. Forgotten most of it now but I think it was worth it - you learn a lot more than just the facts of the subject - how to construct an argument and express it in writing, how to think through a problem etc. Also good for learning to live away from home, making friends and having a great time. It's hard not to think it's lost some of its meaning now that so many people seem to go and there's a university around every corner. But that's just me being an old git
  19. Calm down. You seem to be assuming that people who use a cover drive their car less than they would if they didn't use one. It takes me about 1 minute to whip the cover off and shove it in the porch - it has no impact on how much I drive the car. If you don't have a drive to park on and you don't have the opportunity to drive your car as often as you'd like (in my case because I commute to work on the train every day), a cover can be pretty useful. It's personal choice and it works for me. It means I can wash the car when I have time and it will still be looking good next time I want to drive it. What's wrong with that?
  20. Good call Will, may have to get some of those as someone pinched one of mine too I ended up getting the Richbrook anti theft caps. They seem pretty good - the cap just spins when you try to loosen it.
  21. Mate why don't you check out my thread in the 370 General section. I diagnosed and cleared a code on my Nismo with a free app and a £10 wifi dongle from Amazon. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/92382-malfunction-light-and-missing-valve-caps/
  22. Get a Halfords all seasons car cover. They're not bad at all for the money. As long as the car is clean before you put it on they work well.
  23. My experience with my previous Z was that some refurb outfits are not keen on doing two stage finishes. At least whatever finish you get will be the same on each wheel. I ended up with one wheel darker than the others so had the wheels all done in a single stage colour (which means you get a paint code). Lesson learnt - I park the Nismo very very carefully....
