  1. Sounds like a smug twit. I don't always agree with Dan, but I'm with him on this one!
  2. Love that Corvette.
  3. Wheels look a bit too big for my liking. Looks great otherwise.
  4. Yellow GT? Yellow was exclusive to the (discontinued) GT Ultimate. As said above, the link is to a GT pack car on which somebody has stuck a GT Edition decal. Rough guide below (off the top of my head so may be slightly out on some of the dates): > Base - No boot spoiler, 18 inch wheels, no synchro rev match (not many people bought one) > GT pack - The car most people have, so effectively the standard 370Z - available throughout the 370's lifecycle - various (mostly minor) tweaks over time - most significant revision was the Connect Premium sat nav from 2010 > GT Ultimate - GT pack (as it was in 2009) with an orange interior - available in various standard colours and yellow (2009 only - now discontinued) > Roadster - Essentially a convertible GT pack (2010/2013 - now discontinued) > Black/40th Anniversay Edition - GT pack with added dark Rays, red interior, number plaque on strut brace - only available in black and quartz - (the first 370 to get Connect Premium sat nav) (2010 only - total of 370 released in Europe - now discontinued) > GT Edition - GT pack with added reversing camera, minor suspension and sound insulation improvements, dark colour Rays alloys, GT Edition decal - only three colours (as per post above) (2011/12 - now discontinued) > Nismo Mk1 - (see dedicated threads for info - main differences from other 370s - various suspension enhancements, Nismo body kit, Rays Nismo specific alloys, retuned for (small) hike in power, Nismo exhaust (2013/14 - now discontinued) > Nismo Mk2 - (main changes from Mk1 Nismo - revised body kit, redesigned wheels, Recaro seats) (2015-) Bear in mind that dealers sometimes confuse GT pack with the GT edition in their adverts.
  5. I was paying about that (including multi room). I shaved off £17 just by dropping sports. I used to watch a bit of boxing every once in a while, but that was about it. I nearly dropped the Variety package until they said I'd lose documentaries. They gave me a six month discount on the movies instead. Paying about £60 now. I'm going to do the same thing with Virgin broadband next. We're on the supposedly super fast package. I reckon we'd be fine on one of the cheaper options. I'm hopeless with money - earn it, spend it; but I think I've saved about £100 a month this year but doing this sort of thing. It's quite addictive.
  6. You can't tell the difference between SD and HD? . What size screen do you have?
  7. This thread made me think about how much I pay (a lot). I used the Sky online chat function to discuss options and they were surprisingly helpful. They gave me a link to the online chat team that deal with subscriptions and I got my bill reduced by £25 per month (mainly by removing Sky Sports, which I almost never use). Worth finding out if you can do something similar before jumping ship. I agree that Sky is pricey but I've not seen anything else I prefer the look of in terms of what is available to watch.
  8. Another good way to check is to look in the cubby between the seats. If there is a USB socket = Connect Premium.
  9. There are a few 350s in my area, no 370s as far as I know and if I saw another Nismo I'd probably crash due to the shock. There's a new Cayman in our road, an older Boxter in the adjacent road and a very nice new Boxter and a similarly nice 911 within half a minute's walk.... All of which is a testament to how successful and well regarded Porsches are, but it does mean people don't pay much attention to them around here (and no I would never buy a car just because it's rare but I do get a kick out the amount of positive interest people show in mine). Nice photo by the way. I think I prefer the look of the older Cayman.
  10. Exactly Sir. (Except the 'ugly' Evora bit, although I think they've ruined the looks with new 400).
  11. Have you ever driven one? I had a boxster s pdk as a courtesy car for a month a few years back. I didn't want to give it back. Crazy, brutal gearbox and really well balanced. Different league to a Z as a drivers car, even if the image is a bit "hairdresser". No mate. But that wasn't the point of my post. Enough people say enough good things about Porsches for me to be convinced how good they are. Thing is, I have to be moved by the way a car looks as well as how it drives. Caymans don't do it for me in the looks department (plus they're quite a common sight around here). I don't think they're ugly, just not for me. (I know the 370Z Nismo isn't to everyone's taste, but I love the look of it.) That's why my next car might well be an Evora S - great to drive and great to look at (IMO).
  12. I got one of these from EBay - had it about 5 years now - they're really nice and feel like good quality.
  13. That's bad. Glad you're both ok though.
  14. I've ordered a set of these (370 version). They're more expensive but hopefully last a good while. I'm not knocking the other ones, it's more that having thought about I prefer the look of the solid ones. Hoping they will look good on a white car. Will post some pics when they're on.
  15. Only used a few times - quality piece of kit. Ideal if you use your Xbox One for watching DVDs, Blue Rays or streaming media. (This is the official Microsoft product not a cheap imitation.) I'm selling as I've recently bought a dedicated Blu Ray player and no longer use it. It was bought from Amazon about six months ago and its in excellent condition. Currently retails for £18 on Amazon plus postage. I'm asking £10 (with free standard class postage and batteries) Please PM me if interested.
  16. I've ordered one for the front. Might give it a coat of Jetseal before I put it on or follow JoshC's suggestion.
  17. Ha ha, shall I make her a little sash with the forum address on? Use a forum decal stuck to some plastic as a pendent on a huge necklace like this: Seconded. I'd vote for feisty Ethel to represent the forum.
  18. Hi Asad, I'd like to place an order; PM on the way
  19. Whether you are pro or anti UKIP there are more obvious ways to have a go at them than faking a badly written flyer. I reckon it's genuine, in which case it doesn't do them any favours if they want to be taken seriously. (But neither does using a pink bus to try to appeal to women voters or being filmed eating [insert sterotypical working class food] if you want people to think you're 'one of us').
  20. Disgusting. I bet that put you off your pizza . Yeah, was a bit gross.
  21. Sat with my better half having a pizza in Twickenham this evening; nice looking blue 370 pulls up at the lights. I'm just thinking....hmmm looks good in blue when he goes and ruins it by gobbing out of the window. Lovely load of saliva and who knows what else all over the road. Yuk.
  22. I like a quiet life. Even if it's perfectly acceptable to be in the outside lane and it would save me some time, if there's merging to be done I'll usually happily be in the inside lane, simply because I can't be doing with the stress of hoping someone will let me in.
  23. I think a few minor swirls is pretty much unavoidable.
  24. Too many black cars in this thread This makes me feel like investing in a half decent camera. All my efforts are done with the IPad camera which is fine but not great.
