  1. I think that council member they filmed in the recent documentary talking about how she didn't feel comfortable around 'negroes' was quite racist. Every party has its bad apples of course, but I think UKIPs problem (apart from the Pound Shop logo) is that the media always seems to catch one of the nutters on camera saying something that knocks their credibility. You can argue the media has it in for them, but if the party wants to be taken seriously it needs to get rid of people who think and talk like that (or at least teach them to shut the f up when there's a camera nearby).
  2. Much as I proper love my Nismo I still have a soft spot for the Black Edition. I preferred the Quartz colour but they look great in black too. Within your budget - e.g. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201501120100478/sort/atcustom/channel/cars/onesearchad/used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew/usedcars/quicksearch/true/make/nissan/page/2/model/370_z/radius/1500/postcode/tw14na/price-from/500?logcode=p
  3. Hagler V Hearns. Now that was a proper fight!
  4. Guy down our road had a Cayman R in white for a while (think he works for them). Although I'm not generally a fan of the Porsche look, it was a very good looking car. Sounded good too.
  5. Sort of London....Twickenham (Zone 5).
  6. I would recommend the Stillen if you want a sporty but not over loud exhaust. If you decide you want more growl you can add HFCs at a later date. Having had a Nismo exhaust (on my Nismo), I wouldn't recommend it for sound. They are very well made but not much louder than the standard 370 exhaust. And don't make the mistake of thinking that 350 and 370 exhausts sound the same - a 350 Nismo exhaust won't sound the same as the 370 version. The 370 version is too quiet. Having had a Stillen on its own and a Stillen + HFCs, Id say a Stillen with stock cats would be a good option for a roadster.
  7. Parked up around 11 am. Dark grey with some nice stubtle exterior mods. Looked like a cherished car - one of the best looking 350s I've seen in fact. Private plate beginning with J. Glad I took the Aygo instead of the Z on a bank holiday
  8. I struggled a bit with getting the rear badge off - it snapped. D'oh. No damage to the paint though. Suppose I can always buy another one if I ever need to return the car to the stock look.
  9. Thanks for all the advice folks. Good to know that being 40+ doesn't totally rule us out then. To be honest, work is an issue for us to - both work in London, which cuts down the choices and bumps up the prices of suitable places. We've been looking at villages in Sussex and Hampshire - some nice places there. Hope to make the move in a couple of years.
  10. I like boxing but from what I've read I'm glad I didn't fork out £20 to watch this fight.
  11. Do we have any mortgage experts on here for a bit of advice? Been talking to my better half about buying a place in the country in the next couple of years. We've both got good incomes and she has nearly paid off a flat that would probably sell for about £350k, so we'd have a hefty deposit from the sale. Her flat is currently rented out. We rent and I've never had a mortgage. What concerns me is our ages - I will be 48 and she will be 52 in two years - I've been reading scare stories about lenders not lending to people over 40. (Perhaps be looking to jointly borrow in the region of £300k and looking at 15-20 years mortgage term). Any thoughts on likely lender attitudes to this scenario / suggestions for who to PM for some expert advice would be appreciated.
  12. Go for 2010 onwards. GT pack is a must. Budget for a better exhaust (£800-1300). Colour is entirely personal preference - I think they look best in a White, Blue, Quartz (one of the two colours available on the 40th Anniversay Edition).
  13. They come with 3M tape backing - feels nice and strong.
  14. Thanks. They seem really good quality. PM Tarmac if you fancy a set
  15. Fitted my new Z badges sourced from Tarmac Sportz. Really like 'em - they look great 'in the flesh', seem to be very good quality and I reckon they go well with the white car with black accents
  16. I'd be very surprised if they get more than a few seats.
  17. I can see this thread going rapidly downhill soon
  18. I'd never vote lib dem....some of their policies are crazy. If they had their way, you wouldn't be able to drive your Z in 5 years. The only way this country will move forward and improve, is when we remove the political class and let "real" people run the country. I would say the queens cousin, educated at Eton has little "real life" experience. My Lib Dem vote is a keep the Tories out vote rather than I love their policies vote. I will only truly be happy when we are ruled by cats.
  19. I just can't bring myself to vote Tory, mainly due to the fact that I work in the public sector and they seem to be so against it. One look at the sort of people who campaign for UKIP (and their leader..and their rubbish logo ) keeps me away from them, although I do agree that we need better control of immigration and I think we should cut the foreign aid budget. So...probably Lib Dem on the basis that ia vote for labour ain't going to make any difference where I live.
