  1. Have to agree - no amount of performance or technical wizardry could get me past the sheer ugliness of it.
  2. We have one of the newer Aygos; I like it for a little runaround and it's fine on the motorway. I'm not keen on the gear change, but I think that's because I'm more used to the Z. My other half loves it.
  3. If I had a quid for every time I'd typed this THERE IS NO COLOUR CODE FOR THOSE WHEELS. Two stage finish - black base with dusting of silver over the top. Some wheel refurbishers won't touch them at all. Others can get a close match, but an exact match is very very difficult. Best thing to do is find someone who can do them and get both wheels on the same side done. Then if there's a slight mismatch with the other side it won't be noticeable.
  4. Yeah but we still want to know what happened. Pictures look great by the way. Glad you're all enjoying the trip.
  5. Clearly not in safe hands. Better give it to me. Oh wait...I scuffed the bumper on two of my Zs
  6. I Love films. Three great ones off the top of my head..... The Hunt Masterful Danish film about a teacher accused of abusing one of his pupils. Kind of film you're still thinking about for a long time afterwards.... http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1588170/ The Old Dark House. Brilliantly atmospheric, but also very funny, early (1932) horror film. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0023293/ I Saw The Devil. Downright creepy serial killer film from Korea. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1588170/
  7. I think you need to eat more.....chicken.
  8. If it had gone his way, we'd have heard about it.
  9. If true, I'm definitely going Evora or GTR next time.
  10. I think Stillen plus hfcs is a great combo in terms of sound. The only time when I find it on the loud side is cold start but apart from that I find it ideal (and I'm not into really loud exhausts). Horses for courses I guess.
  11. Looking good Adrian. Still not sure about the spoiler....
  12. Any reason you're not considering Ark DTS?
  13. Looks like a great little character, and bonus points for adopting a rescue cat.
  14. Probably not much help now but a very useful safety device for the future is to find yourself a Mrs who gets in a flap whenever the speed starts to increase. Works wonders with me. The only worthwhile thing you can do now is treat it as a very useful lesson, which could have cost a lot more than the price of a new car.

    Looks great. Very nice pics.
  16. Cheers Will. I did get a reminder when we were out yesterday that the leather/alcantara isn't ideal for a really hot day, but that's more than compensated for by the pleasure I get from the way they look. Thanks everyone for your positive feedback and cheers again Adrian for sorting the fitting. Much appreciated.
  17. The MkI cloth number are comfortable (spent 6 hours a day in them for seven days during the last Eurotrip) but they don't exactly offer much support for track work. They should have simply added a "variable pinch" mechanism for the bolsters. To be honest I struggle to see much if any difference in shape between them and the Black Edition seats. I just like the look and materials of the latter.
  18. Turn it into a positive - cram some extra practice in on the skills he's least confident at.
  19. Thanks for your thoughts G Man - obviously I don't agree, but we all have an opinion. According to Adrian it should be easy to fit some switches for the heated seats as all the connectors are there. Doubt I'll bother though as I very rarely used them on the previous Z. I definitely won't be returning to the cloth seats when I sell the car - I think the seats will be a selling point for most people.
  20. Cheers fella. I hear you re the plastics.
