  1. Agreed. Being on the electoral register seems to be really important when applying for credit.

    370Z Nismo

Correct - cloth seats in the Mk1.....unless you happen to be lucky enough to find some replacements....... Got these from a Black Edition along with the red door cards.
  3. You might want to budget for a different exhaust or high flow cats (or both). The Nismo exhaust is quality kit but it's a bit too quiet.
  4. Hi Scooby Go for it. The handling alone is considerably better than the standard 370 (I should know because I have actually owned two standard 370s). Looks wise, again from actual real life experience, the Mk1 Nismo garners massively more positive attention than either of my standard 370s ever did and the Mk2 will do the same for you. My up-revved Nismo feels distinctly quicker than my up-revved standard car did but either way there's always the option of turbo or supercharger if you're desperate for a big hike in power.
  5. Not a good idea to put a bag down in our house.
  6. Yours blends in nicely with that grey tarmac.
  7. Much like the wheels on our Zs, there doesn't seem to be a paint code for the red callipers. I've had one or two chips in the past and masked them by mixing two different reds. The results have been ok but it's messy and a faff. I noticed on the U.S. forums that General Motors Victory Red is regarded as a close match to the colour so I tracked down the European version and it does indeed match the red calliper colour very well. Not perfect but very close. i can't seem to get the link to work but it you Google for Vauxhall Victory Red it's available as a touch up on the Vauxhall online superstore web site. In answer to the inevitable question, no if you're just touching up a chip you don't need proper calliper paint. Hope this helps
  8. Blox Type R Gear Knob in Electric Blue Retails for £55. I'm after £40 inc. delivery (or £45 for delivery by registered post). Fits both 350Z and 370Z Pretty much brand new - only in the car for a few weeks (used once) while I was waiting for a delayed custom shift knob from the USA. Perfect condition. Also comes with a finisher kindly provided to me by forum member Beavis and an adjustable nut to ensure the shift pattern lines up perfectly. Weighs 450g so has a really nice solid feel. (NB Picture on the car are without the finisher fitted.) Please PM me if your interesed.
  9. You lost me when you mentioned the pet thread (easily the best thread on the forum) in the same breath as a baby thread (which will probably now happen and if it does I will hunt you down.......)
  10. Cheers - I know shift knobs are a matter of personal taste but I'm well chuffed with this one, as I'm not personally keen on the sphere shaped ones or the Nismo style. If you're interested, here's the link. I just chose some of the standard options for mine but if you email the guy he can personalise them to your specification. http://www.lathewerks.com/shop/
  11. Finally, after a long wait due to the guy moving premises, the custom shift knob arrived. Very pleased with it - the guy's work is really high quality and it really suits the interior I reckon. Feels great to use too. If anyone is interested, the Blox (which is pretty damn good itself) will be in the 'for sale' section in the next few days.
  12. Nope. The future is about18 months when we move a few miles down the road to Jane's place, which is currently rented out to cover the remaining months of her mortgage and we go from chucking £1500 a month down the toilet in rent here to living mortgage/ rent free. You won't be able to get rid of me then
  13. Really interesting stuff guys and has definitely made me reconsider the possibility for the future.
  14. You lot are going to bankrupt me. Good to know you're all enjoying your supercharged beasties.
  15. I've seen videos of them - gorgeous but a very serious undertaking and quite a handful.
  16. Serious question - reading some the previous posts about supercharging I came to the conclusion that it led to all sorts of issues that could be costly and time consuming to resolve. It put me off going down that route in future. Is everything hunky-dory now?
  17. Please tell me that rat was already dead!
  18. The Nismo exhaust (which is the same on both versions of the car) definitely sounds better than the standard exhaust. But, the improvement is fairly small. If the standard exhaust is 2/10 in terms of volume, I'd say the Nismo is 4/10. While I doubt you'd have problems fitting the short tails, I do wonder if they might look a bit 'lost'. If it helps, here are two pictures which show the difference made by the Mk1 Nismo's rear diffuser (although the Mk2 Nismo seems to have a different shaped diffuser): My previous 370 with Stillen exhaust - note that the tips are quite prominent. My current car with Stillen exhaust. The angles of the pictures don't help but 'in the metal' the Stillen's fairly hefty tips look much less prominent with the Nismo diffuser. I think the Nismo looks best with an exhaust which has larger tips such as the Cobra, Stillen or Ark, but the Mk2 diffuser might not have the same effect as shown above. There are a number of reputable traders on here who can supply exhausts - Octet/Torqen, Cougar Stores, Tarmac Sportz (based in Derby) for example. All that said, you could always fit the short tails and then sell them on the forum if you're not happy with them. Hope that helps.
  19. The new Evora 400 seems to have impacted on the value of the Evora S in this way; it's been consistently reviewed as better than the S and the price of S's on Autotrader have taken a hit since it became available. Good job the Nismo is just a bodykit and an UpRev then Oi. Behave yourself.
