  1. Did you get that from the original designer's place in Twickenham? His shop is awesome. Interesting history of how he came to make the outfits for the first film. http://www.originalstormtrooper.com/our-story-19-w.asp Edit: I see you got if from a different place - you might still be interested in this place though. He sells quite a lot of cool stuff related to the films. http://www.originalstormtrooper.com/rebel-13-c.asp
  2. Plugging in via the USB port is a bit hit and miss. I have an Ipod Nano plugged in permanently and it works fine - the system recognises tracks, albums and even displays the album art on the nav screen. I once tried plugging in a digital Walkman and it wasn't recognised at all. You could try a USB stick or invest in a cheap Ipod and leave it in the cubby. As above, Bluetooth is an option, but the plug in method has the advantage that you're not draining your phone's battery.
  3. So is it the case that a 370Z like mine with aftermarket exhaust and HFCs would in theory make more power from Ecutek than uprev? I'm not planning to boost or track the car in the foreseeable future, so I doubt most of the additional features would be of much use but it would be tempting to see a noticeable hike in power over the uprev.
  4. Hi - We just had Sky Q installed so these boxes are no longer needed: Sky Plus HD 1TB (Model DRX 895) - £45 collected or £55 posted Sky Plus HD 500GB (Model DRX 890) £30 collected or £40 posted Both in excellent condition and each comes with a Sky remote and power cable. Both boxes are out of contract, which means you can call Sky to get them paired with your own Sky account or if you don't have a Sky account but you do have a satellie dish, they can be used as freeview HD boxes. I would prefer collection (from Twickenham) but will post via standard class (or registered delivery for an extra £5 per item). If collected, payment by cash on collection, otherwise online bank transfer or Paypal please. Please PM me if interested.
  5. Quick udate on this. I had my windscreen replaced yesterday. In the end, I didn't go with dealership glass. It was taking too long to arrive, there was no indication of when it would be in stock and subsequent research confirmed that the non dealership glass used by Autoglass is exactly the same spec' (possibly even the same manufacturer) - it's just not branded as a Nissan windscreen. I know that Autoglass get mixed reviews, but the two young blokes who did my car (from the Slough branch) were really good. They were on time, did the work very carefully, explained the whole process etc. The replacement seems perfect. Overall I was really chuffed with the service.
  6. I love music especially when I'm doing the daily commute. Sound quality is a big thing for me. Recently treated myself to one of these.... http://www.ea-audio.co.uk/fiio_x7.html And a set of these..... http://www.shure.co....earphones/se846 Absolute bliss. Never would have believed music could so sound good from a portable device.
  7. I looked into these when I was changing my stock shifter. They're prone to scams due to their rarity (one of our forum members paid for one and never received it.) I'd recommend checking out this guy. His workmanship is exceptional and he can customise to your specification, including unique engraving. He's not cheap, but the one I got from him was well worth it. http://lathewerks.com/shop/index.php?cPath=30_50
  8. I have a question/feedback: are you solely a GTR specialist? If you can also offer specialist expertise on 350Zs / 370Zs etc it would be good to make that clear on the site. Hope that helps.
  9. Fair enough. I guess it might be good to have a change to something completely different. I don't think you'd need suspension mods with the Nismo - the handling is a big improvement, but I guess you'd still be looking at the cost of boosting, a new exhaust, remap etc.
  10. Not perfect, but here you go (I shoved an attribution on there as I found it on Google.) And an animation of the process: Nice work Hodaka. Thanks very much. . It's also helped me to decide that I'm happy with Mk1 front.
  11. Ignore this - I've seen your post now. Glad you are ok.
  12. If you were happy with your Z, there are examples of the Mk1 Nismo available for £25k now. It's a noticeably different look and drive to the standard car and you could put the rest of your max budget towards supercharging. I'm not sure I agree with others that you're close to GTR money. I reckon you need another £10k for a decent example. Sorry to hear about the accident. Is there a separate thread on it?
  13. Very interesting to see one of these. The front is quite similar to my Mk1 370Z Nismo. I quite like the back end styling as well.
  14. Very interesting read and great pictures.
  15. Asad - any chance these will ever been made in a gun metal / smoked chrome type colour? I think they would look great in a shade somewhere between silver and black.
  16. Interesting. I didn't get it to begin with, but after it came on once it then started to come on periodically. Have you had an uprev? I was sceptical about the benefits (apart from getting the 02 sensors deactivated in the process), but there was a noticeable improvement in throttle response.
  17. OBD Car Doctor with a ten quid wireless dongle from Amazon. Worked very well for me.
  18. If it helps, I can confirm that since having my remap last year I've not had the ECU light come back on. It was coming on periodically before due to my HFCs.
  19. She looks well for such a senior citizen.
  20. It's definitely been done in the U.S. - you might want to join the forums over there and see if you can make contact with those who've done it.
  21. I'd be interested to know if they get the match right. Storm white is difficult to match due to being a three stage pearl finish. When I got a very small scratch on my bumper I ended up getting the whole bumper re-sprayed because it proved impossible for the (very good) body shop to get a prefect match any other way.
