  1. Be good to get some opinions on whether it's worth replacing the stock filters on my 370Z with a pair of K & N drop in filters. They seem to get good reviews but since they look to come in at about £100 for a pair I'd like to know what others think. If it makes any difference - my Z has a Stillen exhaust and about 13K miles on the clock. I'm also thinking about an uprev in the near future. Thanks
  2. I'm only tuning into Radio 2 if you promise me that Terry Wogan is no longer on!
  3. Hmmm £40K seems steep and it's hard to ignore that if you've got an after-market exhaust you've probably already cancelled out the power gain on the Nismo. But I still reckon I could be tempted in a few years if there are some low mileage second hand ones for sale. Quite like the metallic grey one in this vid.
  4. Just a personal opinion Rog but I wonder if sorting the bumper scuff would help with the sale?
  5. I agree - they look really good. Being flush to the surface makes a lot of difference. Could you post a link to the kit in question please.

    Your perfect 370z

Not keen on most of the exterior mods I see, but that red one is pretty cool.
  7. That's good news - they're normally so busy you have to wait a week at least
  8. Most of the decent quality exhausts will give you a nice sporty sound without being too loud. The good thing for you is that there is now a pretty good range to choose from. Definitely worth doing though - I was quite nervous about it being too loud, but I loved the sound from the moment I had mine fitted.
  9. We live down a quiet road in a supposedly nice area but it didn't stop some little !*!* taking a running leap over my other half's Tigra and leaving three foot sized dents on it a few years back. Fortunately the dealer didn't seem fussed when we part exchanged it for our first Z. Been lucky with the Zs so far, but I'm always half expecting it - just wish we had off street parking! Keying is basically about jealousy. Thing is, I can't afford a lot of the cars I'd really like to own but I don't feel the urge to damage them when I see them. Pure low-life scum in my opinion.
  10. Sorry to hear that Will. Take it to Will Gannon at TGM - he sorted out my door scratch and a minor carpark mishap so well you'd never know they happened. Reasonably close to Fleet station as well so convenient for pick up and drop off,
  11. Hello and welcome. How's about posting up some pics
  12. Short vid from a US dealer featuring shots of the car in white (I know the music and the guy are a bit annoying, but it's worth seeing the car). Much prefer this white one to the original pics in this thread as the skirts etc are colour coded. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJD_P6JdyBU
  13. +1 My experience of trying to remove a small scratch on the door last summer leads me to agree. Didn't take much at all to go through the clear-coat resulting in an expensive trip to the body shop to get it rectified. Learnt my lesson from that .
  14. Looks much better without the different colour bits on the skirts etc (but the dark wheels on the white car are v nice)
  15. Looks from the white one like they still can't manage the simple achievement of a decent colour match between bumpers and body!
  16. Well we all know how to address the sound issue with the 370Z......Stillen, Akro', Invidia, Fast Intentions, custom build etc.........take yer pick

    Future zed

Car looks great - just need to change the Zorst now
  18. Looks great Colin. One suggestion - worth updating "new and upcoming 370Z"?
  19. Got an itch then? Yep Colin. Gonna hang on to the Z for another three years at least though (still lovin' the car) and save up some pennies in the meantime. Only complicating factor is that I believe the Nismo Z will be available here soon. Might be very tempting and a bit easier and cheaper to live with
  20. It'll be a shame if you can't get one - great car in every respect. My first 370Z was Storm White and it did look very nice. Only thing to watch out for on that particular colour is the colour match between the main body and front and rear bumpers. It can be quite obviously mismatched with the bumpers looking a bit too dark. Seems to vary from negligible to quite noticeable depending on the individual car. My rear bumper used to bug me for that reason. I was on the verge of getting it resprayed when I decided to go for the Black Edition. Hope you find away around the fuel issue.
  21. I agree - great forum in all respects. I had a look at one of the GTR UK forums recently - didn't seem as friendly or informative as this one.

    automatics

I'm 43 so hopefully won't need to make age-related decisions just yet I do quite like shifting in the Z to get the growl from the rev match though.

    automatics

Serious and sort of related question.......is it easy to go from driving a manual to an automatic? As I've mentioned before, I came to driving quite late in life (at 40). I've only driven three cars in my life - the Fiesta I learnt in and the two 370Zs we've had - all manuals. There's a bit of me that thinks I might.......just might.......want to go down the GTR route in a few years, but I had this vision of me turning up for a test drive and not knowing what to do with the stick! . I'm guessing that it's just a matter of adjusting to something different, but I suppose there's nothing to stop me booking a few lessons in an auto before test driving anything as tasty as a GTR. Be interested to know how people who went from manual to auto found it to begin with?
