  1. Interesting read. Defo worth upgrading the exhaust and I can definitely recommend fitting a decent reversing camera that displays on the sat nav screen. Happy to advise where to get one if needed. I'm also thinking of spacers next month before I get new tyres and alignment checked.
  2. I'm with Admiral. They didn't require a tracker and are quite good if you decide to mod the car (you will if you spend time on here!)
  3. Got to agree with the comment ''white is the best colour...' wish my previous Z, Night Blue 350, had been white Leaving aside that Quartz is clearly the best colour (and I have also owned a White one! I think your new exhaust look really good! Enjoy.
  4. I've only just seen this - really sorry to see what happened to your Z and glad to see its being put back as it should be. I deal with magistrates quite a lot in my work; one was telling me the other day that they've seen a huge rise in uninsured / unlicensed drivers in recent years, often people from other parts of Europe who come over to work and just start driving with no insurance etc. Hope it all gets sorted for you.
  5. Asking too much for it.
  6. I am 44. The two 370Zs have been the first and only cars I've owned due to leaving it a veeeeeerrrrry long time to get around to taking driving lessons!
  7. Sigh...it's the point at which the disguised expletives come out that I think to myself - do I care enough about this to continue an argument about something I don't actually do? The answer is no, but for the record I think you've both missed the point entirely. People don't set up a website about bad parking because its' not "proper"; they do it because bad parking can cause inconvenience and even danger to others, which rightly makes people angry. The situation I outlined does neither and the disabled bay analogy is so misconceived I don't know where to begin!
  8. If it is empty and miles awaywhy not just park in one space? I can't see there is ever a reason to park across 2 bays, if it is busy it is inconsiderate, if it is quiet it is not necessary If I drove a crappy little car I would park next to someone on purpose if they were parked across 2 bays I think the point is if the car park is quite large and is virtually empty, and you aren't staying for a long time, there is no reason to adhere to the lines. It's not about specifically choosing to park across two spaces; it's about it not being necessary to ensure that you avoid doing so. Anyone who took exception to that simply because you hadn't parked between two painted lines would be irrational. You aren't depriving other drivers of a space or inconveniencing them in any way, so you aren't doing anything wrong.
  9. Sounds like a great combination - the Akro was more than I wanted to spend at the time but it's a very desirable bit of kit
  10. I'd still recommend the Stillen for sound. Fair to say that some members feel that the quality of the materials they use isn't what it used to be, although I'm happy with mine about 18 months in. If you prefer a more stock appearance (the Stillen has big shiny tips!) I watched a video of a 370z fitted with a Berk system earlier today - sounded very nice.
  11. Thanks for the opinions chaps! I'll be changing in about a month so I'll clearly have some thinking to do!
  12. I have been looking at the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2s for my impending tyre change. They seem to come in slightly cheaper than the MPSSs and get good reviews. Anyone got any experience/views of them?
  13. I've seen someone park sideways across like 4 bays before in empty car parks. I mean, we're talking midnight at an Asda or something so it's not like it will cause any problems. I've always been tempted to myself, but owning a 350z with a personalised plate already gives certain connotations to the random public I'd imagine, no need to worsen that. Yeah probably best not to draw undue attention to our much loved cars
  14. The Black Edition has the same suspension as the GT pack cars. It has the improved Connect Premium sat nav, but again that appears in every GT pack car that was made after a certain date (2010 onwards I think). It is no different mechanically to the GT pack cars; the differences are purely cosmetic. I believe the limited edition 2011+ GT Edition cars (not the same as the GT pack) have some limited mechanical refinements. Hope that helps.
  15. i second the cat recommendation! And if you're missing a romantic connection give online dating a try. I'm not ashamed to admit i met my other half on match. com after realising that meeting people through work wasn't a good idea (not great still having to work with someone you've been out with etc)
  16. It's also impossible to tell from that picture how full the car park was. If it was pretty empty and they were only nipping into a shop quickly, for example, it's not quite as bad as some as the other examples shown in the other pictures. I wouldn't do it personally but if you're not denying other people a space in an empty(ish) car park..........
  17. There is also the darker wheels (although you can obviously replicate them on any Z) and the fact that Quartz is a unique colour to the Black Editions. I certainly agree its basically the same car (and i love all the Zs) but I can also understand that he has set his heart on one, as its exactly how I felt when I first saw em
  18. Do you have any pets? It's a proven fact that caring for a cat or dog, for example, can have a very positive effect on you. And there are more than enough deserving cases at rescue centres around the country. Obviously if you are planning to move it would be better to wait, but I can definitely recommend having a pet (provided you are willing to make the necessary commitment to giving it the necessary care). Even though I live with my better half, I couldn't imagine life without at least a few furry friends around the place.
  19. Depends a lot on the mileage. I'm the sort of person who would probably buy another colour out of impatience. But if you really want the Black Edition it's worth resisting the temptation. They do crop up on Autotrader relatively regularly so you may just need to be patient.
  20. I think it's true of life in many cases that no matter how rough things seem, you can tell yourself that they will get better eventually. I know that's not true in 100% of situations, but in a lot cases it is.
  21. Granted but trying to put your car where someone else has already parked is a very silly move
  22. And then there's the new exhaust...not exactly a running cost but you'll find it hard to resist if you spend any time hanging around this forum
