    BMW M6 V10

Very interesting and articulate write up. Since you're never backwards in coming forwards with your opinions about cars you don't like, I'll give you mine. Although I'm not a fan of 911s, I can see why you'd want to own one; it's a classic and undeniably a handsome car with more than adequate performance etc. Conversely, the BMW to me is an ugly lump of a thing. No amount of performance would make me want it. Each to his own though. If you've got the itch own one....enjoy.
  2. It's all in his signature ^^^^ ( apart from preference, which I think you'll find is the NISMO) I'd be concerned if it wasn't the nismo It is. Lovin' it' Although I preferred the leather seats and coloured interior of both previous Zs to the rather dull Nismo interior. If I could swap the interior with the red from the Black Edition I would.
  3. I'm thinking if they've not started creating them yet, the date I arranged with Abbey (21st Feb) is looking a bit unrealistic.........I think Mark is going to confirm with me this week.
  4. Correct. My first 370 was a GT Ultimate. Orange interior and, as you say, nicer than it sounds. Otherwise pretty much the same as the GT.
  5. Really hope this works out ok for you. From personal experience I'd recommend that anyone with cats, dogs, rabbits etc invests in pet insurance.
  6. Check out the modifications sub forum and Octet's lengthy thread in this one. Not sure what proportion actually do it but you get the impression a lot of owners on this forum at least change the exhaust on the GTs. The Nismo has a better exhaust but could still do with being being louder.
  7. Why is it that everyone else who owns a Z has off street parking!?
  8. You've not tried a long drive with screaming babies in the car have you? You could look at it another way, you should take care as their attention may not be as focused as normal. No I haven't. I can't stand babies and I certainly wouldn't want one in my car! If everyone with those stickers drove like a saint it would be a different matter, but they don't. The number of morons who use mobiles while driving means that the best strategy is to treat every other driver with a healthy dose of care and attention, sticker or not. (I also see that a poll of 2000 drivers found that 46% displayed the notice irrespective of whether or not there was actually a child in the car, which immediately renders one of their supposed purposes - to alert the emergency services to the child's presence in the event of an accident- completely pointless).
  9. No doubt I'll generate some hate for saying this, but I don't really understand why children seem to be increasingly seen as more important than adults. If you have kids you should obviously take care of them (not smoking around them being a good idea), but I don't get why I'm supposed to adjust my driving because someone has their brat in the car. I try not to drive line a moron full stop, so that I don't hurt myself or anyone else. A sticker informing me there's a kid in the car isn't going to change anything. And I've seen some pretty terrible driving by people with those stickers on their cars.
  10. Differences are minimal as far as I can tell. Wheels are slightly different design. Get a pre-facelift version and spend the money you save on an exhaust. Unfortunately they didn't give the pipes a make over!
  11. Well you have my advice and an email to send them. If the texts don't bother you, ignore them. If they do, I'd suggest sending the email.
  12. TBH I'd probably do this and also get the number blocked by my mobile phone provider. I agree that's definitely an option. Could ignore it. Can't believe they even bothered for such a small amount.
  13. Regardless of the amount, people shouldn't be hassled into paying money they don't owe. There's an entire industry which relies on people who are too scared, lazy or ignorant to stand up for themselves and it's often the most vulnerable people who suffer. It's ridiculous for a debt collection agency to chase someone for £1.60 and it would be equally ridiculous for him to pay it if he doesn't owe it.
  14. Me too. Comes as standard on the Nismo. Quite useful since all you see out back is the spoiler (or the "ironing board'" as my other half calls it)
  15. Bit of an interesting update to this: Having contacted Mark at Abbey Motorsport turns out that in a few weeks I'm going to be one the first (maybe the first) customer in the UK get a 370 fitted with a set of HFCs developed by Cobra. According to Mark they are moving from Berks to the new Cobra cats which should make MOT fails even less likely. I suspect in the long run this might be an interim solution for me and I'll go with a whole new system, but hopefully the new Cats will give the exhaust note some extra growl in the meantime.
  16. Quick search online reveals that Oriel are collecting debts relating to Blockbuster, so may not be a scam. Either way, as I said earlier, if you owe the money might as well just pay it. However, if you are not sure you owe it, or believe you don't, I would advise you to send them the following by email (you can find their email address quite easily online - see Glrnet's post above). You will obviously need to provide your address if you are asking to be sent documents but you shouldn't be wary of doing that - if they don't already have it they could find it very easily. From my own experiences about ten years ago, I don't advocate people trying to avoid debts as it usually just means more trouble in the long run (although I very much doubt a Blockbuster debt would be on your credit record since I don't believe a Blockbuster account qualifies as a credit agreement). However, you are entitled to be provided with proof that you owe what they say you owe. If they can't or won't provide it you can tell them to get lost. If they do provide you with something that suggests you owe the money, you could probably then start exploring the issue of your missing credit. You might be able tell them that they owe you the difference! Your Ref: XX Dear Sir/Madam You contacted me recently by text message about an alleged debt of £1.60 pertaining to a Blockbuster account. I have no knowledge of any such debt. I therefore do not accept any liability. Please do not attempt to make any further contact with me concerning this alleged debt unless you are able to provide documentary evidence of my liability. Please also note that I will only communicate with you via email or in writing. I do not wish to be contacted by telephone or text message. I await provision of appropriate documentation which clearly confirms my liability for this alleged debt. If you are unable to provide said documentation, I will expect to receive confirmation that this matter is now closed. Failure to act on the reasonable requests made in this email may result in a complaint to Trading Standards and the OFT. Yours etc
  17. As Lynzzz says, they would need to prove you owe the money. If you don't, don't pay. If you do, pay. I find it odd that they have only contacted you by text but either way you are not obliged to communicate with them via phone, text etc. You could also make a request under the Data Protection Act for the data they hold about you (you might have to pay a fee though). In the highly unlikely event that they took this to the small claims court they would need to provide proof that they'd written to you about the alleged debt and provide the documents to show you owed the money. It's also very suspicious that you're being hassled over such a small amount of money so it could be a total scam. I had some dealings with debt collection agencies some years ago after I got into financial difficulty following the breakdown of a relationship and my outgoings practically doubled overnight. A lot of them rely on the fact that people are ignorant of their statutory rights. In many cases they don't have the necessary documentary proof to be able to enforce an alleged debt through the courts, in which case thy can't actually touch you. I will provide you with some text to put into a letter or email later this morning. You'll be able to find their address online.
  18. You'll be needing this then. Had it myself on previous 370. Works brilliantly and very good service from the supplier. http://www.carkitcompany.com/nissan-370z/nissan-370z-backup-camera-kit
  19. I'll post up some pics at the weekend
  20. Have you considered the Invidia Gemini? Quite a nice system by all accounts and not all that much more cost than fitting AAM short tails. Could always add some HFCs in the longer term if you want more volume. I was tempted by the invidia and HFCs combo, from the vids it sounds awesome Agreed. Another one that would be on my short list
