Some very interesting history availsble online about homing pigeons that carried messages in WW1. Quite moving. I get that people are frustrated by the mess birds like pigeons create etc. I just wonder how many people make the link between that and the amount of rubbish we leave lying around etc.

Pigeons were introduced by people and proliferate because of people. Seems to me that if you park under a tree for long enough you're gonna get some sort of crap on your car; if not poop, tree sap etc.

Agree with that. Can't say I think about the size of the engine when I put my foot down in the '45 and it takes off like a rocket

The Alpine is an interesting prospect. If they'd been available when I moved on from the Z I might have gone for one. I'm not sure the incoming version will have much of the road presence the OP is looking for. It'll be interesting to see if they follow up with a more aggressive looking version down the line.

Well as a former fellow Nismo owner I would say give the A45 AMG a whirl. Very different obviously but great fun and blisteringly quick. Since it doesn't really meet your criteria though, how about a 981 Cayman GTS or Evora 400?

Hope this all gets sorted to your satisfaction mate. Totally normal to feel shaken up. I know I would.

My ex's uncle took £8k into town to pay for a car and lost it. He was though a complete idiot at the best of times.

Hi mods - now sold. Thanks.

Great quality dashcam that cost me about £150. The price has dropped to about £90 recently as there's a newer model now so I'm only asking £50. I will also chuck in a 32gb SD card. Review here: http://www.dashcamspecialists.com/reviews/nextbase-402g-professional-review/ Buyer will just need to add a 12v lead which can be had from Amazon or similar for a few quid. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Amacam-Straight-Connector-Suitable-Cameras/dp/B01NAFIAQ6/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1509731573&sr=8-8&keywords=12v+mini+usb+car+charger I had the wire running along the inside of the roof trim and the inside of A pillar to the 12v socket under the glove compartment so it was totally invisible. I used these transparent sticky pads to attach the bracket to my windscreen as the standard suction holder had a habit of coming off. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Disc-Holder-Sticky-Adhesive-Stickers/dp/B008USJS0C/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1509732446&sr=8-2&keywords=tax+disc+sticky+pads Really good HD video quality (keep in mind the picture below was taken off my computer screen so doesn't show how great the quality is) Please PM me if interested.

I really liked the previous Shadow of Mordor game so might give the new one a go.

The Corvette looks a bit 'Saxondale'.

I used to get random marks like that on my white Z if it was left out. Sometimes they looked like something had brushed past the car but they always rubbed off easily.

Having used covers for several years my advice is that a decent but inexpensive cover that you replace every couple of years is the best bet. I used the Halfords large version for several years with no issues. If you spend hundreds on an expensive cover it could still get damaged. The Halfords one is pretty good quality and won't harm your paintwork as long as the car is clean when you put it on.

Ah. I must have been thinking of the UK release date.

There was no 370Z Nismo of any description until 2013. Do you mean 350Z?
-
Certainly is. Just drop me a pm if you're interested.

How many 370 Nismo MK1s were manufactured for the UK ?

I had mine for about 4 years and never saw another one in all that time. -

Raceglaze Alcantara cleaner is good stuff. Try that.

Fair play bud. Horses for courses. I'm happy with what I got for the money. One big thing I've learnt from my experience is that you can still have an awful lot of fun in a car with auto box and 4wd. Different kind of fun to a manual/RWD but still fun.

I say this as somebody who loves Zs, owned three in succession and would happily own another one if they ever properly update the platform. In every way I can think - performance, interior, handling, the A45 AMG is streets ahead of my 370Z Nismo. The Z had more character and sounded better (but only once I'd blown nearly £2k on mods), but that's it. Don't think it would be a great track car, but for road use I'm having much more fun with it than I ever had in the Z because of how you can drive it on twisty British B roads. It would obviously be a big difference to your VX though. It's not a raw car under normal conditions, but it's very adjustable - stick it in Sport or Sport+ and it becomes a whole lot of fun. Looks are a very subjective thing. Personally I think the A45 is the best looking "hot hatch" out there and (sorry) looks a lot better than the 350Z which is now starting to look very dated. The 370 is wearing its age really well though and is still a great looking car. If you've got £40k to spend you'd be looking at a well optioned facelift A45, which is exactly what I got. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about the car.

I never found the carpet ones very durable. There are quite a few sites on the web where you can put in your car's details and they will make up a set for you. I paid £50 for a set of heavy duty rubber mats that were brilliant - much easier to keep clean than the carpet ones.
