  1. Hi All. I always like to give companies a shout out / recommendation when they provide a good an cost effective service. Anyone in Bristol that is looking for a good reputable company that are more than capable in doing work on their treasured 350Z's would do well to give Karman Autocare, Albert Road, St. Philips a call. They have just fitted my exhaust and sorted out the clicking rear axel issue and I am more than impressed. They also sorted out my brakes and replaced the bushes back in the summer. I am planning on taking my 350 there again next April for it's MOT. They have a full diag kit and engineers that are trained in it's use. Full servicing may be a bit of a tall order for them, but everything else is doable. Hope this helps someone out in the Bristol area. Cheers, DC.
  2. bought the Cobra Resonated back box from CS a few days back and it is certainly an improvement on the OEM. I didn't think it would sound much different as it's not the full system, but it does. The sound is more "Throaty", nice sweet spot at around 2K revs as well.
  3. anyone else noticed that the mid section on that exhaust doesn't look right?
  4. don't spray copious amounts of de-icer, just a little spray and a cloth (jeyes cloth is what I use) and then wipe the residual fluid over all your windows and it doesn't leave any gunk on the screen and works very quick. Front heated screen seems to warm up quite quick, but nowhere as quick as my old Ford Puma did.
  5. i was waiting for the funny quip to rear its head
  6. was noisy but the guys at Kwik Fit said that it sounded like how a 350Z should have sounded. We located the issue and they didn't charge for the inspection. Just ordered a Cobra Resonated Backbox from CS on here would definitely recommend them. Having it couriered to my garage of choice and then they will fit next week. Don't intend on using the car much until its sorted. The guys at Kwik Fit said that depending on where the hot exhaust gases are leaking from it may affect the bodywork, so best to err on the side of caution. They said that the blow on mine couldn't be welded as it was from the connection and quite a large hole had developed. glad to hear yours has had a temporary fix.
  7. would it do any damage driving the vehicle 30 miles a day with the exhaust backbox blowing if my ears can stand it that is?
  8. for the uninitiated.... what is the OBD port and where is it in the vehicle please?
  9. sounds like front side bushes / compression arm to me. PM ZMANALEX he will sort you out.
  10. what are you guys using to lube? i take it that WD40 is a no no as it could contaminate the roof and lining itself?
  11. Hi All. Just wondered if anyone had replaced the storage unit behind the passenger seat on a Roadster with another bass bin? Is it easy to do and how best to wire to the existing amp (that's if anyone has done this before). Thinking of adding another kicker and just wanted to hear pros and cons before attempting. Cheers.
  12. is there any way to change the registration of an 07 plate 350Z to PLG, or is that a silly question?
  13. could be a blowing near the back box, check the flange area as this is where the exhausts tend to go. I know because mine is on the way out.
  14. bought the bushes from Alex last week for my motor. They were a bargain compared to the £300 per arm that Nissan wanted as they dont sell the bushes.
  15. thing is that it's a roadster so the Mongoose system that I looked at won't fit this model / type.
  16. would this be able to be fitted as a replacement for the OEM back box? http://cougarstore.co.uk/index.php?main ... ducts_id=2
  17. needs to fit a Roadster as well. Looked at Mongoose but their system doesn't fit the Roadster as "it has a slightly different floor plan (more bracing and strengthening as no roof)" Cheers.
  18. ok will take it to my local Nissan Main Stealer at the weekend.
  19. Hi All. Noob question. My back box (OEM) has been deemed as "on it's way out" as there is a hole where the flange meets the back box (apparently quite common). If changing the back box will it change the sound of the whole system or do I need to look at buying a full cat back system for this please? DC.
  20. I have a similar thing on my roadster which i have just noticed. Is there a department or better still a name at Nissan HQ to contact?
