  1. Sorry to hear, hope you get it sorted for a reasonable price! Note to self: check oil when I get home... I check it quite regularly anyway but the dipstick isn't the easiest to read on the Zed!
  2. Also interested in the skyline! That's a lot of money to spend on a clutch (despite being awesome), that's pretty much a third of what I paid for my Zed
  3. I don't think the fronts are balooney anyway, and again lower profiles means bumpier ride. Yeah coilovers are pretty much the only option. Think I'll just leave it as is for now
  4. No. Best way IMO is to fit 40 profile tyres. Front and back. Makes the car look so so so much better. That won't help the look I'm after. I want to close the arch gap, and lower profile tyres will do the opposite! I'll just leave it for now I guess and maybe go for coilovers, just don't want a harder ride on this one!
  5. Glad you saved it. I had a moment like this today, again 2nd gear onto a dual carriageway, planted it and the rear end decided to go nuts! Shocked me for some reason, which is odd as I've had quite a few rwd cars and done my fair share of drifting, both in other cars and the 350Z! Like you I saved it and life goes on
  6. Like the sound of that, probably won't be cheap though!
  7. I know with the beemers you can get different thickness of spring seat for the rears. I was just hoping there was some sort of trick like this for the Zeds! Obviously I could get slimmer tyres or smaller wheels but it's the arch gap I don't like, not the actual ride height, as that's ok.
  8. Damn, I get 18.7mpg average in my 350Z DE!
  9. If it's anything like the strut cover, you have to cut out drill the Z off from the back!
  10. I've since sprayed the Z in orange but no pictures.
  11. Update: I bought this and used it for a few bits. It's great in my opinion! I haven't tried anything too challenging yet though.. Pictures to follow!
  12. I bought them from USA, the guy you're thinking of bought them from me Ah I seeeeee. Small world!
  13. what profile tyres did you run ? Iv ordered 30s hope it want shack my to death :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 245 30 Front 285 30 Rear Did you buy those off someone with a ginger zed? I know someone who had them fitted and sold the car earlier this year. Can't decide if I like them or not!
  14. I think I'm going to give this a go at some point. The idea of putting the headlights in the oven is a bit scary though! I do like the idea of carbon inserts!!
  15. Quite a few of us (including myself) decided on decats instead of HFC's.. That's just personal preference though. As far as air filters go, for performance go for a panel filter with the velocity stack mod on here OR for sound, go for an open cone filter. Note, if you go for the cone, you're best off buying or making a heat sheild.
  16. I had MeisterR coilovers from Jerrick on my mx5 a couple of years ago. Fantastic product and a top bloke. Can't comment on the Zed but my mx5 was decked!
  17. No probs. Just thought I'd give you a heads up. Cheers for the link. I'll keep it in mind if the ones I bought don't look the way I want them too
  18. Hmm they do say 6000k which is probably about the same! I'll leave them for now and see how the sidelights look. Mine don't look bad
  19. Ordered 3 pairs, number plate lights, side lights, boot light and a spare.. They're alright, I can't help but feel they're a little on the blue side - I haven't yet fitted the sidelights so don't know how they look next to xenons but fitted the others. Not had the chance to get a pic yet. Can't complain for the price really!!

    Falkens 453

Fair enough, I can't comment as I haven't tried them!
  21. Nuts! I'd love to take one of my Zeds down there... (also own a Kawazaki Z1000 as well as the 350Z)
