  1. Was watching this just now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1dup2vCGey4 Slightly worried that it's been primarily designed and exclusively build in the US. Could spoil the ride/handling for non-US customers...
  2. Looking forward to seeing how this progresses. 2JZ or RB26 would be my two choices for an engine swap if my VQ ever gives up on me.
  3. That's awesome, always wanted something like this! Just curious, how is the glass top attached? (if its attached)
  4. Yeah Clifford and viper are the same company. I had a viper alarm with remote start fitted to my 350Z under the assumption it was cat1. Was livid when I found out it wasn't. I had a number of other issues with the installer too but I won't go into that here. Planning on having it ripped out and a different one fitted soon. FYI my factory alarm wasn't working on my zed and Nissan were not able to fix it hence the need to fit aftermarket.
  5. Sometimes it's nice though and also in summer when the mrs is being a pain, you just stick her seat on and you feel like you've had a small win? I think they had this in mind. Why else would they put them in the prefect position for a stealthy elbow press
  6. Everything's possible http://www.viper.com Not retaining Cat1 status. No remote start alarm can be cat1 with I believe the exception of the clifford (edit: not G5. Avant Guard 5.5) but I dont know how they got around it...
  7. Just out of interest, how comfy was the corbeu seat? I the bucket I had in the 106 was a Cobra Monaco Pro. I was a good seat but it got uncomfortable after a while. Then again it was a budget one.
  8. I don't think coilovers will bother me on the road but I could just be used to stiffer suspension. The MX5 has by far the softest suspension of the cars I've owned (expect my first car which was a 1.2 8v fiat punto ) so could end up riding like my 350 or my old MR2. I decided on the BC's as I hear they are little bit more road friendly than meister-r's (on MX5's at leat, heard the reverse for 350's) plus I'm not running super low profile tyres I hope that will compensate enough to make it bearable.
  9. Next thing I'm after is suspension and alignment, most likely BC Racing BR series coilovers. The car had a lot of roll when cornering so that needs addressing. I looked into thicker anti roll bars but from what I read I would be better off getting coilovers and a fast road/light track use alignment. The car is supposed to be fully adjustable from the factory and the company 'wheels in motion' have developed a fast road setup that has a good reputation among other MX5 owners. Following that I found myself using my knee to stay put in my seat so a nice set of buckets will be the next thing. Don't want to go fixed back with harnesses as the car is to be used on the road as well. Having had a fixed back and harnesses in my 106 GTi it was a bloody nightmare. If you have them correctly tightened you can't move off the seat so forget leaning forward to see better at junctions! Some seats won't fit in MX5s due to their width. I'm probably going to get a pair of cobra Daytona seats with bride subframes. Will be fairly expensive but would rather do it that way than modify the stock runners.
  10. As per title. Non-LED version removed from my GT4. Good condition, one broken post and a hairline crack in the corner near the missing post. £30 posted.
  11. Jan 15 Update time, nothing major. My facelift rear lights arrived today so whacked those on right away. Second picture shows old style left and new style right. Cant pick out the fine detail but the new ones light up a lot more than the old ones. Also between now and my last update I've treated myself to a personal reg, a new battery and a replacement heater/AC ECU as mine was getting worse and worse since that muppet damaged it!
  12. Just got my facelift LED rear lights through today and they are already on the car. Top work guys thanks for accommodating me despite being over original numbers on the group buy
  13. It looks like its been made out of plasticine that then melted. I cant see a single straight line on the body work. 10/10 for effort... but probably shouldn't have bothered. (all this said I probably couldnt do better)
  14. Suspension is next on my list. Was very rolly at Silverstone. Heard good things about BC's and Meister R's
  15. Think I'd better follow this to see how it progresses. Might borrow a few ideas for mine
  16. Oh cool, well payday is soon so I might take those! Will drop you a PM in a day or two.
  17. So what's the situation with these then Chris? I have a set made by a member but a number of the LED's have packed up, are these available to buy now?
  18. Was nice to see the car my old part has made it onto, looks lovely by the way! I didn't, the parking guy just put me there but I did spot that TTRS in a similar spot. Wondered if the parking guy is a bit of a petrol head
  19. Meguiar's Ultimate Wash and Wax (and no not just cos its matches my car ) http://www.meguiars.co.uk/product/193/Ultimate-Wash-Wax/ Not what the photo was intended for but it beads water really well after just a wash.
  20. LOL at the listing title "Power Bulge"
  21. Parked in exactly the same spot as me just one row forward. Can see my GT4 lurking in the background
  22. not this thread again. Search is your friend http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/92484-gold-wheel-nuts/page__hl__%2Bgold+%2Bwheel+%2Bnuts
