were they new second hand from the other owner then? or do you not know how long he had them for?
IIRC he had them from new, fitted by Abbey Motorsport in 2014

I think we're in T4 which looks like tarmac so we should be alright!
If it's were I think it is then yes it's tarmac. Should be near the paddock cafe and petrol station

See first post.
Cobra HFC's were purchased second hand from a fellow forum member (Kaveney) for the above price in January this year. They have only been on my 350 for a couple of days before they were removed.I never had the car back while the cobra HFCs where fitted

If my experience with body shops is anything to go by you are a very brave man

Hey Alex, just realised that -2.5% would be 0.2% difference between front and rear. Would that really work? Or have I miss understood what you mean

I've used that one before, this is my favourite though tbh

Just a quick one as I've not been able to find a straight answer online.
forgetting about alloy size for a moment, am I right in thinking that as long as the rear tyres are a certain % larger than the fronts, traction control will be happy?
Does anyone know that the difference threshold is before it gets upset?
There is a 2.7% difference between the stock tyres 225/45/18 front and 245/45/18 rear.
I know, as I'm currently running, 255/35/19 fr, 275/35/19 rr (2.1% diff.) cause no issues,
and I've seen suggestions of running 245/35/19 fr, 275/35/19 rr (3.2% diff.) so assuming that no issue either
or even 225/40/18 fr, 245/40/18 rr (2.5% diff.) is also fine for some.
So if I change my wheels and tyres to fit 245/40/18 fr, 265/40/18 rr, (2.4% diff.) I assume TC will still be happy?
So if anyone knows, what is the threshold? 2.7% dfference -/+ 1%?

Only standard stuff.
HKS Panel Filter, Plenum Spacer, Milltek Cat Back and a RevUp

Well the car has its MOT but has gone back to stock cats. Also had a P2 while it was with Japex.
Thinking of selling my LMGT4's after Japshow to fund a nice set of Work T7R's in Matt gunmetal. What do you reckon?

Price shipped or collected?
Posted - have added that on. Thanks for telling me, it was in the first draft I promise

Cobra and Berk HFC's for DE engine - £275 each pair posted
Please note that the reason for sale is that my car will not pass an MOT emissions test with either of the HFC's fitted. The Cobras HAVE passed MOT's on the previous owners car but would not go through while on mine so I have switched back to stock cats.
Cobra HFC's - SOLD
Berk HFC's - SOLD
Berk HFC's were purchased new from Tarmac in late 2013, fitted to the car in April/May 2014, and have been removed this month. The Berks were wrapped in the hope that they might retain enough heat to bring the numbers down however since seeing the report, this isn't going to work. Will be sold wrapped but its easy enough to remove. They have not been back on the car since being wrapped so the wrap will smoke slightly after fitting. Also to note that the Berks come with O2 sensor spacers hence the longer O2 ports.

Right well having seen the numbers looks like back to stock cats it is... Neither the Berks or the second hand Cobra HFCs are anything like close to passing :\
-
Not been an update on this for a while! Currently my car is with Japex having its P2 service and an MOT.
I've been having trouble with emissions with the Berk HFCs so I brought a pair of cobra HFCs second hand but no improvement .
Currently I've got Ross putting the stock cats back on to get it through the MOT but I would like to keep running the Berks if possible.
They are very very close to passing and both I and Mark at Abbey think it's down to the cats not being hot enough. I've got some exhaust wrap so as the Berks are off I'm going to wrap them and hope that keeps them just hot enough to pass.
Anyone else done this? Would be good to know if my thinking works or is at least accurate.

Out of curiosity more than anything, would you say the HR motor is a better base for a track car than the DE or RevUp?
I remember you saying the RevUp is kind of the 'ugly duckling' of the three when I came in for my UpRev tune.
dyno plot of DE (green plot) with Plenum spacer/drop in filter/stock cats and cat back exhaust and tuned with UPREV and our HR cat back exhaust/stock cats /drop in filters and UPREV tune
DE is pretty close in midrange torque but once your up in the revs the HR romps away.
below is a dyno plot of a DE with headers (not long tube) and HKS step 1 cams and it isn't far away from the HR just is held back RPM wise.
I think a DE is a very good track car a lot cheaper to buy than a HR car as well. Reason our car has a HR was the DE was using oil and we needed to do some development ECU wise on the HR motors.
So if the motor goes its worth changing up go a HR then otherwise both are pretty close? I seem to remember you saying somewhere that swapping the HR into the DE was a massive pain.
