  1. Give Jason a call at tomcat logistic solutions limited +44 207 498 2582, say Southern Speed sent you, he may be able to get a good price. Consolidating the freight is going to be the only cheap way really.
  2. Yeah, or was it the festering gunge in the bottom of the milk jug lol
  3. yep agree that smooth and polished is not the way forward.. i just took out all the casting marks, lettering and big lumps and bumps then roughed it all back up again and anyway the intake plenum on the Z doesnt have any fuel in it just air so its all about increasing air flow.... fuel is injected further down the system Yeah I realised that just after posting it, had carb'd inlets on the brain
  4. deleted, had carbs on the brain
  5. My box was noticeably smoother, even when cold after an oil change. It's still got that very 'positive' feel but much nicer. Abbey Motorsport did my service so you could check with them as to what oil they use.
  6. If you didn't see the last programme have a look on iPlayer, it's ok, it's the first item so you don't have to watch the whole show! They put the new GTR up against the latest Jag XKRS and it totally kicked the Jag's arse. A little unfair maybe as it was wet during most of the filming but it was a very impressive performance by the GTR! Worth a watch
  7. NO!! There not that common, they just stand out from the crowd more
  8. 2 on the M4 yesterday, silver and a yellow. Blue on the mad mile this morning and a grey on the Sutton bypass this evening. Oh and a rather tasty white GTR on the Sutton bypass this evening too!
  9. Just as a little side 'snippet', I was talking to the guy that runs the motorsport days at Oulton Park, asking him about the M3 driving experience. Those cars have new pads every week, new discs and pads every other week, tyres as needed. After (I think he said) 8 months, BMW take them back, service them them put them on the forecourt as ex demo cars!!!!
  10. If that's from a dealer and you're getting a trade in, I'd say you got a good price already.
  11. I think that's kind of dealer forecourt money to be honest. I bought my orange 54 plate from a dealer a couple of months ago with 29k on the clock and that was just over £10k. Things are pretty tight out there money wise at the moment.
  12. and was it? I've only done it by motorcycle. Bet it gave your arms a work out
  13. Welcome and good luck with your car search. Tip: drive it and get it serviced by someone who knows Zeds before pouring your money into cosmetics. You'll be amazed at what relatively low mileage some need suspension and brake work. I was lucky enough to have Abbey Motorsport do mine but there are plenty of pros endorsed on here if you're not in Abbey's area
  14. mmmmm and then I have to buy a Busa as well then, did anyone say turbo chargers......LOL
  15. All interesting stuff guys, thanks. I think I can see the future Mind you, if I don't SC the Z I'll end up turbo-ing the 'Busa But that will be VERY bad for my license
  16. I guess I have to run the good fuel then rather supermarket cheap stuff? (not that I visit supermarket stations lol) What about all that E10/E85 ethanol fuel they use in France now? Though Nissan say post 1/2004 can run on E10, what about with a SC? There's 35% less 'energy' in E10, surely that'll make for a really lean burn?
  17. one cure I suppose. but I will let you slip the belt off and refit a belt to power all the power steering/A/C etc etc. Mark Not to mention completely the wrong map for an engine trying suck air after it's mapped to be fed air The Mad Max set up was sooo cool .... 'til I found out it was fake
  18. Not really, it's just decision time as to whether to turn a 'fairly' practical car that I could drive around Europe in, into more of a toy. But if MPG isn't too badly effected when driven conservatively, then it's not too much of a decision
  19. That sounds quite thirsty to me, what did you get to a tank before, any idea? About 350ish hmmm, yeah thats what I get normally, although can get considerably more if I'm in an 'economy' mood
  20. That sounds quite thirsty to me, what did you get to a tank before, any idea?
  21. Those with SC , if driven 'normally' what sort of fuel consumption do you get? Is there much difference from before you went SC?
  22. I've followed your posts but this just blew me away. That's 'old' car turned into showroom. really, seriously impressed.
  23. Better get a bigger mower!
  24. Even 18s are in short supply. Seems if the fronts are available, the backs aren't etc.
