With a bit of difficulty One more than one occasion I've acquired a new cat and it's taken Mr Squee a day to two to notice that there's a new-comer! And to those who ask how I keep Nismo so clean...his fur has a teflon like quality and muck doesn't stick to him! I kid you not, it's one of the many great qualities of the Japanese Spitz..they make very reliable pets as well as motors haha. We've had him since September and only bathed him once and only brushed him a handful of times. Lots of people think I'm bull sh**ing when I tell them that but it's the truth! Great pics as ever on this thread S.

Sorry to hear it didn't work out for you Smudge. As others have said, 'onwards and upwards' S.

For anyone who's a bit of an anorak on speeding offences the following book is quite a good read: http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Art-Loophole-Making-Work/dp/1444734083/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1396289005&sr=8-1&keywords=freeman+loophole Its by Nick Freeman , the guy that the 'footblas go to when they get gripped. Quite an interesting read, very Alan Partridge and trashy in parts but worth a couple of quid for the e-book version. S.

Here's a recent pic of Nismo checking out what goodies his mum's been buying (a perspex strip for the bootlid of a 300ZX incidentally): ...and here's a recent pic of his feline siblings, also known as the 'Mew Tang Clan': S.

I always get a bit over-excited and give a wave, flash and normally a go of the windscreen wipers too. Makes Mr Squee cringe when he's with me hahaha. I normally get a sober nod back from other 350Z drivers and normally F-All from 370Z drivers The other day I was walking past a 370Z in Sainsburys car park and the driver was getting out....I said "nice Zed" to him and he had no idea whatsover what I was talking about S.

I watch it and enjoy it although I'm not digging the latest series as much. I think Richard is a bit of a ***** and also looks a little too much like a post-arrest Ian Watkins although not his fault I suppose. Makes me chuckle that the main tool they use on all the old V8s is a hammer. There's certainly not the delicateness of Ed China going on in the workshop. S.

Sorry to hear about Nyx I'm still very new to dog ownership (only got my first one in Sept last year) and couldn't have imagined how strong a bond you form with the lil critters. We've always had cats (and they still rule the roost here) but dogs really depend on you so much more. S.

Another zed bites the dust :( [update -replacement zed pics pg3]
Squee replied to Squee's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Yes I should invest in one of those really as it's still fresh paint on the zed so bird muck will really ruin it :S the only problem with a cover is it spoils the view Thanks for your kind comments on the car folks. And also the comments about my hooters! S. -

PS if anyone's wondering the thing in the tree is - it's a large plastic owl which I bought to protect my Zeds from the pigeon's target practice. I'm only seeing moderate success with that :/ S. -

As gutted as I still am about my beloved Growler my driveway is looking half decent again now This is Growler 2. Twin turbo, currently auto but will be getting a manual conversion soon. And also as I'm a massive chav I'm going to get some dumper valves on it. Sorry to all the purists out there The car actually came with 350z non GT rims on which is a nice touch! S. -

This. I've been trying to resist my vulture nature and ask what parts you'll be selling.... Haha thanks Bronzee and Lexx...well I'm definitely keeping the manual gear box as it has a loving home already....in the twin turbo auto I bought yesterday will also be putting on the skirts, spoiler, smoked black lights and wheels on the new addition. Lexx send me a PM if there's any bits you're after. Wicksy I'm sorry to hear about your brothers Zed horrible to see a car looking all sorry for itself but glad your bro is ok. Good thing these Zeds are built well! Is he going to buy it back? Fair play to my insurers Admiral, they made getting it back very easy and even allowed my car to stay at the local recovery yard rather than being towed to a salvage yard which saved me a few ££. Hope he finds himself back in a Zed again soon. S. -

Cheers again all. I'm probably coming across as a bit of a ***** being so bothered about the blame thing but I think the £28k payout from the non-incident a while back has made me a bit of a cynic. And no one likes dented pride...almost as bad as a dented zed! The car was retrieved from a recovery yard yesterday with the help of some good friends from the ZX scene. I think I'll let the dust settle for a week or so before ramping up my efforts to get a replacement. Sorry to hear about your incidents SMD and Annie (and welcome back btw). S. -

Cheers guys! I'm actually retrieving the car today...what a better place to get some lessons in driving with a car trailer than back on the M6 again funnily enough I've got a nice Cat C coming up soon hehe. It's just so annoying that if there was a reason to plant my brakes on full I wouldn't have gone into her...but you can't go doing this every time your on the motorway else you'd cause havoc! she's already done this, my insurance company has read her statement out to me. But it's all good as no one hurt and now I can get that twin turbo ZX I've been promising myself. I think I'm really bothered about this blame stuff as I want to keep my premiums down...I was in an incident 18 months ago where I tapped someones car (no damage to either car) but three people put whippy claims in and now I've got a £28,000 case against me I have got damage pics taken from the side of the motorway but I don't know if its' appropiate to post. Also annoyingly the crash took place right under a CCTV camera but Highways Agency have said it was turned off that day. Cheers again for your kind words...and drive safe all! S. -

Cheers all I'm 99% confident that if there'd been an obvious cause of her coming to a stop I'd have avoided it as the brake pedal would have been flat down as soon as I saw a hazard come up...but she did this emergency stop out of a clear blue sky hence I started to brake normally when I saw her brake lights come on. Although the driver has said to her insurer that she was fully at fault they're saying I didn't leave enough room for braking. My insurers are saying hey will try and fight my case due to 'extenuating circumstances' but I'm not holding out much hope. To add another bizarre twist to this tale is that the driver is a stuntwoman who was enroute to a job where she was going to fall down a flight of stairs. She managed to arrange for a courtesy car to take her to the gig so if she puts in for whippy I'd be a bit miffed! I've still got my beloved 350 so not totally zed-less and will be back in a 300 again soon...I'd been itching to get a twin tubo version anyway Thanks again for the kind words! S. -
I don't really know why I'm posting this here...just trying to make sense of a crappy situation I found myself in and 'share it with the class' so to speak. Unfortunately on Monday I wrote off my beloved 300ZX on the M6 I was in the middle lane in a 50 zone. Arctics on the inside and flow of traffic on the outside. The motorway was on a slope so good view of the traffic in front. In starts to bunch up in the distance so I take my foot off the gas. The car in front brake flights come on so I start to brake progressively but then I realise it had done an emergency stop so plant my brakes on. This wasn't good enough so I ploughed into the back of her. There was no apparent reason for the other car stopping. If there'd been a collision or something then I would have slammed the brakes on full but there was nothing. It was lucky I didn't swerve as I'd be under a lorry. The lady driver of the car in front has actually admitted full responsibility. It sounds like her automatic got knocked into 'park' somehow and she panicked. Despite this admission her insurers say it's my fault. I've been torturing myself going over and over in my mind about this. Had it been an apparent emergency I am 100% confident I would have stopped in time as I do leave a very good gap in traffic but you can't go planting the brakes on full every time you see a car's brake lights come on. Thankfully no one was hurt and both cars managed to get onto the hard shoulder. No one else stopped to be witnesses. Highways Agency got called out but as there was no damage to the central reservation etc there was nothing for them to do. So that's another Zed gone. Sorry guys! S.

it looks like it's made of choclate....the cup that is not you! And thank you very much GM, that's very nice of you to say that S.

EM light/O2 Sensor light back on 3 weeks after remap
Squee replied to Squee's topic in 350Z Modifications
Thanks for your comments....I thought I'd replied to this a few days back but cant seem to see it :s Alex - I may well be in touch soon re the sensors, will check out prices of new ones and let you know Out of interest could I expect to see any difference in performance/mpg/anything once the sensor has been replaced (if indeed it is faulty) or would it just clear the lights on the dash? Thanks again S. -
I've pilfered this from elsewhere and it's prolly a re-post but good for a Monday giggle S. A newcomer says they are about to buy a BMW 320d but wonders if there are any alternatives they may not have considered. One person gives a useful answer based on experience. Seven people don’t. A further nine people make in-jokes an outsider simply wouldn’t understand. The newcomer doesn’t come back. Someone boasts about beating another car, making unsubtle references to driving at 120mph on a public road. Seven people aren’t impressed. One person uses the word ‘****’. Someone gets banned, but not from driving. An argument breaks out. A Nissan GT-R owner lists all the ways in which he considers that the vast engineering department at Nissan did not do an adequate job and the ways in which he, the owner of a building company in Rochdale, has remedied this. Someone with a highly tuned car posts an unreadable graph taken from a rolling road session, along with an outlandish, Veyron-withering claim about how much power they have. A patently quite clever person delivers a short lecture about frictional losses. Three patently quite stupid people try to argue with him. A person with a pseudonym that seemed funny six years ago draws attention to a car for sale. Five people pooh-pooh this car. One person says they ‘quite like it’. Someone makes reference to their girlfriend for no real reason except to tell the world that they have a girlfriend. A Nissan GT-R owner lists all the supercars they believe to be inferior to and slower than the Nissan GT-R. Someone mentions Top Gear. Three other people say it’s an entertainment show and not a car show, as if they are the very first people ever to think of this. Someone describes Rovers as rubbish. Someone else vehemently defends them. Someone makes a cack-handed attempt to boast about how much they earn. A Nissan GT-R owner declares that the Nissan GT-R is the best supercar money can buy. Eighteen people take issue with the use of the word ‘supercar’. An argument breaks out. ‘Another person prods at their keyboard to tell the world in acronym form that they “laughed out loudâ€â€™ A British person who lives abroad tries to make their new home country sound brilliant. Someone refers to their car using an inexplicable capitalised abbreviation. Someone starts a discussion about home electronics. Someone else makes an artless reference to the size of his own television as if actually and needlessly comparing penises. Someone smugly provides unrequested evidence of the speed of their home internet connection. A lone voice asks if we can get back to cars. Someone makes a whimsical remark. Another person moves their mouse a couple of times, prods at their keyboard, moves their mouse again and devotes a total of 79 seconds of their time to tell the world in acronym form that they ‘laughed out loud’. They did not actually laugh out loud. A man with a pair of breasts pictured under his username accuses someone else of being childish. Someone refers to a car only by its obscure factory codename. Someone asks an innocent question about wiper blades. A man whose auto-signature styles them as ‘no-nonsense’ immediately crushes them with passive-aggressive disdain before their mum tells them to get off the computer and come down for their dinner. A man whose username is a car he hasn’t owned for six years asks for advice about practical small cars for his wife, ideally costing around £12,000. Someone immediately suggests a second-hand Boxster ‘like mine’. A contributor confirms that yes, they are a girl. Seven male contributors make inept attempts to be charming. Someone posts a photograph of a moderately famous actress and asks if she is hot or not. Five people immediately answer emphatically in the negative as if each of them is Brad Pitt. None of them is Brad Pitt. A lone voice asks if we can keep this to cars. Ten pages later, the debate is still rolling. It is no longer safe to view at work. Someone asks a question that, with a little effort, could be answered by a search engine. Three people leap to point this out. One of them is a total dick about it. An argument breaks out. Someone accuses a magazine of unfair bias towards BMW/Porsche/Jaguar. Someone makes a claim based on no information whatsoever. Two more people claim to have ‘heard that too’. Someone asks for proof. No proof is forthcoming. An argument breaks out. The world keeps turning. People keep discussing cars on the internet.

Hi boys n' girls! After I installed my BuddyClub last year the revs would fluctuate at idle and periodically the management light would come on flagging up O2 sensor problems. I had my DE Zed remapped at TDi 3 weeks ago and this light was cleared. However this last week the engine management light has come back on again showing the same DTC's as before. I've attached a couple of screen grabs from my basic OBD scanner and wonder is if anyone can advise on how I can cure this problem? As well as the BuddyClub I also have HFC's, plenum spacer and performance panel filter. I also have a O2 sensor spacer fitted. Has anyone else had this problem? Is this indicative of an actual problem or just a consequence of the higher airflow from the exhaust? And if so how can I make the light stay off? Thanks S.

Ninjaz, just thought I'd let you know my replacement tax disc and MOT cert arrived yesterday, so about a week after the replacement V5C. As mentioned I didn't submit my old ones. Hope you got it sorted! Cheers fella! And thanks again for the good service with the panel filter

I saw 2 x 350Z's, possibly in convoy as about 10 seconds apart from each other heading from Shewsbury towards Oswestry (A5) yesterday near a roundabout with some services on. Maybe some more early customers for the Chirk meet? I was in a black ZX. Didn't flash as on a roundabout. S.
