Still not got my Zed back! I can't figure out what the garage are playing at - they say that they've put a new clutch plate in but have decided that there's definintely a gear box bearing problem after all. I'd have thought that a clutch would be considered a wear and tear item for warranty purposes so I'm getting a 'freebie' that perhaps I shouldn't of....it's all pickling my head now lol. And the tax runs out on the courtesy car today (think they've forgotten about that!). Herein finishes today's rant! S.

I've bought a pair (hate to feel like I'm missing out!) but I'm 99.9999% convinced all of is bargain hunters will get an email from the seller tomorrow saying that they're out of stock of the product ( which, I believe, they're fully in their rights to do so). I think I'll still be up on the deal regardless as I use Quidco so will probs still 'make' about 50p cashback on it Incidentally, last summer I saw a 'deal' on hotUKDeals for one of those crazy American BBQs (the huge chrome things with ten burners and a sink etc), normally over two grand but priced at under £200 at Debenhams. Naturally i jumped in and bought one, had the money taken from my card, and a week later had an email saying out of stock and refunded. There were a fair few 'conspiracy theorists' who thought that it was all a ploy for the company to make a @*!# load of sales and more money on the books by the months end - even if it did all have to be refunded. S.

They've been fannying about waiting to see if the warranty insurance will pay out - I can see why they're wanting to make sure they can recoup some costs but just wish they were more honest with me as regards to the time scale involved as I've had to cancel and re-arrange quite a few plans over the last few weekends due to being Zed-less. I'm probs sounding like a spoilt brat ( ) just need a bit of a rant! Will definitely be worth the wait though! S.

Lol Bronzee - what a nice saying hehehe. Just found out that I can't get my Zed 'til Wednesday now. Found out I've been bullshitted a bit from the sales side of the garage and they've deliberately delayed working on my car but if the only thing wrong in your life is having to wait an extra few days to collect a beautiful 350, in full working order, then life can't be bad I guess! S

Thanks matey! I've been waiting 'til the garage had sorted out the car mechanically before taking him to the bodyshop - was definitely gonna update my thread on the bonnet spilt once I'd made progress on that front as I know there's nothing worse than a thread without a resolution! It looks like the previous owner had a dint in the bonnet filled and it's this filler, perhaps not done very well, which has caused the spilt/scratch somehow. I'm definintely going to get a bonnet re-spray but as said above waiting 'til the garage had finished with it first. To be fair on the garage they do seem good sorting my various problems out it's just they've really taken their time doing so. One good thing that's come of all this is that I'm stupidly excited about collecting the Zed - just as much if not more so than I did before collecting for the first time! S.

Just having a bit of a rant! Owned my Zed for just over 6 weeks and it's been back with the garge for pretty much the last 3 weeks whilst they've been sorting some bits which should have been done before purchase. Grrr! First was wheel bearings then was back in for a suspect gear box bearing which has turned out to be a clutch plate issue Anyhoo, I'm hoping that I'll be reunited with my beloved Zed tomorrow. Else they'll meet Angry Squee which will not be nice for them! S.

Somewhat off-topic but does anyone know how many miles you have left when the fuel light comes on in a Ford Ka? I'm running a courtesy car at the mo and I'm loathe to put any petty in unless I have to! S.

Hi, I've only had my Zed about a month so still learning all of the ins and outs. My fuel warning light came on last week and the display went from showing 39 miles to 36 and then 27 in a couple of minutes (I was doing about 50mph on country roads). It then fluctuated between 27 and 36 for about 10 minutes before, I assume, thinking I had over 40 miles remaining and the light went off and the display returned to normal (ie showing the time). Is this normal for the 350z? S.

Spotted the above today parking up near the Queen School....no waves from me as still in fugly Ka courtesy car and too ashamed! but if you saw a young blond lady in a black Ka having a nosey then it was me S

Have you got any tips for decent lotions and potions for yellow cars Karl? My better half has just bought a Leon FR which is looking slightly dull and most google searches throws up stuff like Megs yellow wax which, despite the name, doesn't really fit the bill! Cheers for your replies - thought it was normal but thought I'd better check whilst the Zed's still in warranty and back at the garage on Monday I've certainly not mucked about with them - will get Mr Squee to have a dig about and check tomorrow. From searching this forum I think I know the answer but just want a bit of clarification as my Zed's going back to the garage under warranty next week (gear box bearing issue) and if there's another prob with it then want to get it sorted.... Is it normal when flooring the Zed for the drivers footwell to get very hot very quick? It seems that other users say that heat from long journeys is normal but this is a slightly different issue. Hi Viper, Just being nosey here - what sort of printer are you using to print onto vinyl? I'm guessing a solvent one of some sort? I use a lot of a vinyl in my business (both for textiles and signage) and I really want to start printing directly onto it. Your Z logos look pretty mint by the way! Cheers! S
