  1. watching 'Storage Wars' in my hotel suite in New Jersey having just got in from a trip out to Asbury Park S.
  2. Cripes - sorry to hear she's given you the heave-ho Ricey. I'm sure you wont be on the shelf for too long Are you not tempted to swap the Z4 for a proper Zed? S.
  3. Passed Carla (unless Ricey had pinched her Zed) tonight in Boughton, Chester, whilst on my way to get my weekly quota of fried chicken. Believe it or not is was the first time I've EVER seen a sunset Zed in real life. Looked stunning too in the streetlighting S
  4. yep I don't think she's real either. I'm convinced it's all a big trick of some sort Apparently there have been over one and half million tweets about her this week! Sorry to veer somewhat off topic- back to business now lads S.
  5. I saw an ad on the TV last night for oil at Halfords - £17.50 for a 4ltr container of Castrol 10/40 (I'm assuming other varieties are on offer too). Incidentally, if anyone has a QuidCo cashback account then Halfords is one of the few places that offer instore cashback as well as online but you have to register your credit/debit card with QuidCo first. S.
  6. Speaking of matters such as this, what do you all think to the Samantha Brick thing that the rest of the internet (and telly and radio) is going nuts over? If you don't know what I'm on about then in short: A journalist woman penned an article in the Daily Main/Mail Online earlier in the week saying that no other women like her as she's too stunning. After the article was published she got tons of abuse on twitter etc, mainly because most people think she has a face like a bag of spanners at worst or passable at best. A fair few people, myself included, believe that the article is bogus either to get more traffic to the Daily Mail website or as some kind of social media experiment. Linky to her follow up article: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/artic ... right.html S.
  7. congrats Glad you got the champers sorted and glad she said yes S.
  8. Thanks all, much appreciated how odd that it seems fickle whether the light comes on has it been reported more (or less) in the pre and post 06 models? Looking forward to seeing, well hearing , the vid Neil, S.
  9. Hi, Sorry for 'old thread revival' but I'm just wondering if anyone can confirm that once you get the Berk's high flows fitted it'll be a case of when not if the em light comes on? I'm not planning an up-rev any time soon so I guess getting some of these O2 sensors are the way forward if I get HFCs fitted? (My Buddy Club isn't quite loud enough ) Thanks, S.
  10. Be very, very careful - what starts as a few tiny little interior mods soon becomes a full cat back exhaust, Berks and a re-map S.
  11. This thread is starting to sound like the introduction stage of 'The Weakest Link'. S.
  12. cheers again all - some cracking suggestions Awesome pics Marzman. And I do like the sound of the Sopranos tour heehee. I was hoping that Baltimore would be a driveable distance as I LOVE the Wire but it looks a bit too far for a day trip unfortunately. Thanks for the link Pete - will check that out now. Ta again everyone - much appreciated! S.
  13. Did you see on the local news last week about the son of one of the main 'characters' from the Big Gypsy Wedding show (Paddy Doherty)? They only moved to Queensferry a couple of months ago and last week he was arrested for causing death by dangerous driving on the A55! they really are bad eggs! Sorry for going off topic. S.
  14. Self-employed garment printer here too and graphic designer. Running a business from home is great as you can admire your Zed in the driveway without having to spend too much on your daily commmute my husband-to-be owns a Passat but he's NOT a taxi driver Why are you called 'twobears'? I have a cat called Bear. S.
  15. I'd drop the 'Nissan' part of the answer - they either know what a 350z is or they don't. And if they don't then they'll hear the 'Nissan' part and think that it's some model of Micra S.
  16. Yeah I think I might give that a go I've only ever driven in semi-rural North Carolina and I'm probably in for a bit of a nasty surprise with driving in NJ which is meant to be the most congested state with the most roadworks...and it's me who's drawn the short straw and has to drive from the airport Thanks again everyone S.
  17. ...and the shopping needs putting away. Looks to me like someone is shirking their responsibilities.
  18. Ahhh, looks like the little chap is enjoying his stay in South Wales Smashing pics S.
  19. Ossum - thanks for all that Will certainly be indulging in a spot of shopping - top of the list is some Berks S.
  20. I noticed there was a thread on here a couple of weeks back about 'what to do in Las Vegas' and people contributed plenty of useful info so hope no one minds me asking 'what to do in New York'... I'm going to be out there soon for nearly two and a half weeks so will probably run out of all the typical touristy stuff to do so I'm wondering if anyone can recommend interesting /fun/'different' stuff that might not be in the guidebooks? I'm going out there with Mr Squee who's on business so I'll be left to my own devices during the day. Staying in Princeton NJ which is only a 40min train ride into the centre of New York. I will have full use of a hire car but I'm sure driving into Manhattan will not be a very good idea Thanks S.

    Lost car Key

Try contacting an independent mobile locksmith before Nissan and see if they can get the codes - this should be a cheaper option than going direct to Nissan. The same happened to me with my old Almera (I know it's not a Zed but still was an electric clicky lock) and it was about £140. I believe that some insurers might cover this. Hope you get it sorted S. PS the keys were found about 2 weeks later hiding in the glove compartment of my old pug
  22. How could I say no to donating to a fellow female Cestrian Zedder? Good luck - I'm full of admiration for people who do stuff like this. I'm too lazy to run a bath let alone a half-marathon S.
  23. sorry to hear about your Zed. A similar-ish thing happened to my other half just before Christmas in his FR. The insurers estimate to repair was over £5K however some of the things quoted were ridiculous such as supply and install of two new wing mirrors even though neither were damaged! He decided to buy it back from the insurers and sort it himself and the work is almost complete and the total cost including buying it back, buying parts, transportation (had to hire a flat bed truck), spraying, labour, and getting the chassis jigged etc is just under £1.5k. Depending on the damage yours could cost more as sourcing FR bits is probably a little easier. But if the chassis is ok it could be cheaper. Don't forget that you'll be left with a cat C or D car which will be very hard to sell. Hope you get it sorted S. edit - should probably add that although the car's been fixed up at significantly less than the quote, in hindsight my other-half has had doubts that it was wisest thing to do but if you're attached to the car you kinda feel that you 'owe' it to it. The amount you've been offered for an 04 plate with 80,000 miles certainly doesn't sound like the p**s take that some insurers would offer.
  24. Don't know why I'm bothering posting this as it was yet another driver of a silver zed who didn't wave back sort yourself out silver owners you miserable bunch! But anyway, spotted (and waved!) at a silver zed, WF04 plate, near Morrisons in West Kirby yesterday at about 4.00pm. Nice day for a drive out to the sea side at least! S.
  25. yesterday I saw a range of cup-cakes in Morrisons called 'cup-cake hunt' which I thought was a tad risky. S.
