Bit of a pointless post this but I've just got back from collecting my Zed as it was having the HFCs fitted today. WOW, what a sound it's making, absolutely gorgeous I've not had a remap done but I can feel an improvement too. I don't really know the correct terminology but it feels faster and more responsive Some of you might have seen a previous post of mine about me buying the Berks from the States when I was out there recently and bringing them home on the plane.... I don't wish to do any UK traders on here out of a sale but if you're able to travel light thus have plenty of room in a suitcase then I'd recommend it. They definitely make a much more enjoyable and useful souvenier than a stick of rock And the savings to be made are, in my opinion, worth the hassle of lugging them back to the UK. I've been advised to get the Zed noise tested prior to my trackday next week so I'm going to Oulton tomorrow afternoon to get the old dbs checked - I'm looking forward to finding out just how loud it is teehee. S.

that's an awful way to speak of poor Carla!

I hope you realise it's all your fault!

Oh no, I've started a cyber punch up! See what happens when you let wimmin like me on the internet It's all good though as I have PROOF that this karma/'do good stuff and good happens back' things works - thanks to my benevolence I've just had a very nice email from a Nigerian prince offering me USD$2 million if I send my bank details to him. Result! S.

He asked for one and was drawn at random - I didn't vet people or check this thread to see who already had them. Sorry Sarnie! S.
-
Heya all, Mr NeilP is going to by buying it but thanks for your replies. In hindsight I could have had more fun with this and rather than the 'names in a hat' (which was actually an internet random generator thingy), I should have ran a drawing competition or something with the soundbar purchase going to the person who draws the best picture of a kitten or a puppy. Or something. S.

Glad to be of help y'all Just in case anyone thinks that I'm posing on a moral high horse with this sale: I'm all for keeping wheels of commerce and capitalism turning so good luck to anyone selling them on ebay! I've bought many mispriced items in the past to sell on and I will do again. In fact I've just remembered that I've got several pairs of Adidas Stan Smith's upstairs that I bought for £7 a pair that need to get on eBay. I guess I'm just in a benevolent mood to this forum. Happy hustling everyone Will update tomorrow. S.

Hi all, I've got a spare on of these (bought an additional one for my kitchen but not suitable) - was gonna eBay it but thought it'd be good karma and all that to let someone on here have it for cost price (plus P&P) if anyone wants it (I believe the cheapest delivery is £5.99 with MyHermes). Still unboxed and all that. So send me a PM if you're interested. If more than one person PMs me by the end of the night then I'll put names in a hat or something so it's fair S.

Yikes. Hope my instructor is a bit more patient than that guy! S.

Wow - congrats! My folks are off to Vancouver for a holiday next month and I'm massively jealous. S.

I am totally terrified of drive-thrus (ie McDonalds etc). Not the concept, just of getting stuck in them somehow. This goes back way before I had the Zed. I'm guessing that's claustrophobia of some sort S.
-
You'll get used to it only time it's ever a struggle for me is changing gears when I'm driving back from donating blood. Persevere and you'll be rewarded S.
-
Personally I'd avoid any advert that refers to the 'Fast and the Furious' franchise of films. My money's on the seller being a chump from that ad. S.

Just thought I'd update this thread - gone ahead and booked it (although cost for the full day now £400) for later on in May. I must admit I'm terrified but well excited too Thanks again for your responses and encouragement all S.

Doh I was aware of that link and I had meant to put in my post that although it exists it's buried away in a subforum somewhere which isn't too helpful. It's clear that many new-comers to this site don't use the search as much as they could and I just think that a glossary/faq somewhere obvious would make your jobs easier (the faq under the search field is just techy stuff to do with the workings of the forum rather than Zed stuff so doesn't count). You know full well that you're going to get asked the same questions time and time again over the next few months! S.

Yeah, I'm made up with mine too and massive thanks again for sharing the find it's probs my phone which was being iffy rather than the speakers. Or the update as Dave mentioned. Mine is one of the early iPhone 4's - the ones which you have to hold in a special way to get reception lol. S.

Am I the only one who read this thread's title and thought it was a request for a bizarre Hannibal Lecter-esque recipe ie for rather sinister scotch eggs? S.
-
Just booked this Well excited and nervous as it's my first track day too. I checked the long range weather forecast earlier and they're predicting rain. Pah. S.

Loving the sound quality out of these (for £13!) BUT...has anyone's iPhone stopped working since docking it in to the speakers? I wasn't able to make/receive calls or send/receive texts earlier today after using with the soundbar for the first time. Thankfully turning the phone on and off seems to have done the trick so I'm wondering if it's an 'iffy' batch? To be fair my phone can be temperamental at times S.

I'm so, so gutted that I can't come out and play for this Wales weekend S.

Black is best AND they're faster than the other colours. Fact. S.
-
Doubt it's sold out just because of this forums' folk - as mentioned I noticed the deal was posted on the site 'HotUKDeals' (perhaps by a member of this forum?), and whenever anything is posted on there it sells out within seconds it seems. S.

What to do in Manchester for lads weekend?

Mr Squee's going to a stag-do in Manc next month and they've all booked to go to the Comedy Store so you could try that if you fancy something a little different from getting tanked up and strippers S. -
Thank you OP, Mr Ninja, for posting this. Bought one last night and had confirm email this morning and collecting tomorrow. Bit puzzled as I've opted for collect in store but confirm email says it's being despatched via the HDN courier group. I've noticed that someone's posted it up on that HotUKDeals site and all sold out now. Hope this thread doesn't turn into a slanging match like that Brembo/eBay one did doubt it as it's Tesco involved teehee. S.

Hi, How about a 'glossary' page or link to the glossary thread somewhere on the front page or near the top right of the screen near the search function? I think it would be useful for the new members - both for total 'laymen' (or laywomen such as myself teehee) and also those who know a fair bit about cars as I've noticed that there's lots of terms which seem to be Zed specific. I'm sure it would also stop some of the newbie questions that seem to annoy the more established members. Ta, S.
