I know that the Passat doesn't sound very thrilling but don't forget it's A4 underneath and with the twin turbo diesel its quite fun to drive S.

Well, just got back from Oulton and what an amazing day I had! There were only 24 cars that showed up for today so it ended up being open pit lane - it was meant to be sessioned with 5 sessions for the day but I managed to get out 5 times both in the morning and afternoon sesh. And we all got a garage for free too! One downside of the day being quiet was that there weren't too many overtaking opportunities Although it was advertised as a novice event the standard of other drivers was very good, in fact I was more aware of true 'novices' at the first trackday I did in May, and although on the ClubMSV website it says you can't book if you've had more than 3 trackdays it wasn't checked and most people there had a good few more than that under their belts. The main difference is that novice days are only for road cars. No other Zeds unfortunately but there was a rather tasty Skyline GTR, a few S2000's and MX-5's, usual Scoobys, a handful of things like Exiges, Caterhams and Marlins. Apparently ClubMSV always have trouble filling the spaces on these novice days...I can only assume a lot have people had read the anti-novice crap on the PistonHeads website which put them off. But most PistonHeads users tend to be the sort of people who would never admit to ever being a novice with anything car related. From reading some of the stuff on that forum you'd think that the novice days would be full of 17 year olds in Corsas but it certainly wasn't today at Oulton. If you're thinking about booking the ClubMSV novice day in October then go for it, I can't recommend it highly enough. I paid £200 in total - £150 for the day and 2 x £25 instruction sessions. As mentioned above they don't seem to mind if you have had stacks of trackdays and are a bit of a pro, as long as you are tolerant of beginners. S.

Your Zed sounds fab and I'm sure before long you'll be utterly besotted with it They're a very friendly bunch on here and it's well worth joining in with all of the fun Squee. (PS I answer to the name Sarah too! heehee)

One of these pulled up next to me at the traffic lights recently and I was looking forward to listening to it roar past me and into the sunset...imagine my disappointment when he stalled the engine S.
-
Aw, I was hoping there'd be another Zed there to keep me company...am going to ring and try to book tomorrow but there's a good chance it's fully booked so might be at the October one after all. Thanks Vik It's the 350z I'll be taking this time...the ZX has still got standard brakes on and I want to upgrade them before tracking it...hopefully ill be tracking it in the future though S.

Blimey. That'll be impressive hustling if they sell it for that. Did I read somewhere that you've bought a TT Ricey?, if so then how's that coming along? Or have I been imagining things again heehee! S.

worst hangover was when I was out in Portugal watching Pompey's first ever UEFA away game....I'd been out on the lash the night before the game and on the day itself I was getting the train from Porto to the nearby town where the game was. I was feeling a bit bilious on the train and started yacking up when some Pompey hooligans we were chatting with found me some empty cans to be sick into. Proper gents they were although for some reason whilst I was sicking up they decided to beat up some poor local also on the train. Once I got to Guimaraes where the game was I was straight onto hair of the dog. This was about 4.00pm and kick off wasn't 'til 9.55pm Needless to say I was pretty smashed for the match itself and can't remember too much of it. Thankfully the game was on Channel 5 and I was caught on camera a few times fast asleep at the game so I know I was there at least! S.

I was busy watching my daily quota of pop videos on SmashHits TV earlier and I'm 99% certain that a silver roadster popped up on the video for Pink's 'Stupid Girls'. Linky to vid here if you're that sad you want to check Go to 1.29 to skip the crap before the car. S.

Sorry to hear this how many have you left now? I'll admit I thought that they were pet squirrels at first S.

I've used them before - some gear bushes for my ZX - very quick service and friendly guy. I think it's a 'back bedroom' operation but don't let that put you off. One thing I would advise is if it's only a small item you're buying (ie gear bushes) then email him and ask if he'll send out via Royal Mail as the standard shipping on website sales is via a courier and about £8 shipping which is a bit pricey if it's something that can go in a jiffy bag. +1 for Bombay Sapphire...good gin that, as is Plymouth. Gin needs to be over 40% to pass the Squee test! Tonight is Jacky D's and ginger ale in the Squee household however

Crikey! So many people selling their Zeds right now! I don't like all of these changes Hope you find something that takes your fancy OP - what are you looking at? S.
-
...Jessops customers making sure their new toys can focus properly I'd guess! there's no way Chester folk would bother snapping a 350z! Saying that we had one of those young ex-offenders selling dusters knock on the door last week and after my fella politely declined to buy any dish cloths the seller asked is he could take a photo of my zed! Silly old Mr Squee was happy for him to do so which made me paranoid for a few days after! S.

Lol His is a dirty diesel. I quite like driving it to be honest- when you put your foot down you can really feel the torque S.

Ta again all I think those rims suit that Merc Ricey - they kinda look a bit 'Germanic' to me! Is that the Merc causing you all the ballache at the mo? Unfortunately that wasn't me Fodder - I did drive down Wrexham Road yesterday lunchtime, which I believe is near your neck of the woods isn't it?. But not near Parkgate Road sorry. There is new black 350z in town, I think it's reg is MN04, but he wasn't a waver so I've not bothered reporting it on the spotted forum I'm still loving the ZX but not been out in much due to being busy with work. I'll be sure to bore you all with some updates sometime soon though. S.

I've showed this thread to Mr Squee, a Leon FR driver. He now feels much better and much less emasculated having a girlfriend who owns two zeds! Thanks OP! S.
-
Aw thanks all Well done to that Ricey - they are indeed BSA wheels. Have a house point! I don't think the BSA's are to everyone's taste but I quite like them on the ZX although I have a set of 18" Ultralite SpeedStars kicking about in the garage I think I'll put on instead. Hahaha, that's Mr Squee. I think he's probably thinking "what the HELL has she brought back to the house now" S.

Well it's been a far from textbook purchase of a car as I'm sure some of you are aware and someone with better sense than me would have walked on the sale a long while ago. Howeve I was determined to get this particular Zed and it's finally home safe and sound to start his new life with me Meet 'Mr Trouble'....he's a bit of a mess but I love him already. More pics will follow after a good detail over the weekend. My neighbours are going to absolutely hate me...the BuddyClub and HFCs on the threefiddy sound rather muted compared to the 5 inch Japspeed and decat set up on the ZX S.

Ups & Downs of living near Olympic cycle route!
Squee replied to glrnet's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Glad you're enjoying the inconvenience at least Personally I'm not interested in the olympics until real sports such as snooker, darts, bare knuckle fighting and spitting are included. But that's just me S. -
Oh you naughty man! there's always one isn't there! And that 'one' was either going to be you Mr Spurs or that Builder49 chap. Although I think he's marrying his 17th wife this weekend isn't he? S.

Aw Vik, dunno what to say! As others on here have pointed out, "congrats" just doesn't seem right! Hopefully you being Zedless will just be a temporary thing...you'll probs be able to pick up a 350 for £2k next year haha...although that might not come with a full tank of V-Power Also hope you're gonna stay on this site! S.
