so are there many forum folk going to Oulton on Monday for the GT? I'm hoping to pop down for a bit S.
-
sorry to hear about your situation Pete my Auntie and Uncle live in Loggerheads down a long track like you and apparently there's 4 foot of snow in some places. I don't think they'll be leaving home for a few more days lol. Hope you get some good news soon S.

To be fair I think between Diab, JetSet and myself Chester is starting to look a bit like a Zed safari on these spotted pages...does seem to be a bit of a Chester ZedFest on here. S.

Haha yep it's the Cheshire Fields, not Plains. Ooops. But I think they've taken Sam down from the rafters now Oooh I'll have to try the Gunnery on a Sunday...was there on a Thursday night a couple of weeks and it was great. Cheap drinks on a Thursday too...the more you drink the more you save Glad to have given you a 'spotted' Fodder...and once again nicely done on the sensible parking choice outside the Fields S.

not me I'm a prolific waver so you'd know about it if it was me! S

I was driving back from visiting the in-laws in Froddy earlier today and saw a blue roadster in the car park of the Cheshire Plains...was it Fodder treating Mother Fodder to a slap up lunch for mum's day? Was sensibly parked at the far end of the car park S.

I think they're going to allow the 'alternatively attracted' to donate blood soon so you should be ok S.

Spotted a silver, possibly had after market wheels, coming out of Queen Street onto City Road in Chester this evening. Didn't catch the reg plate.. S.

Chester folks are too blase to give any attention to Zeds. School boys throw the odd comment sometimes....a couple of weeks ago I heard one lad shout to the other "hey look! there's one of those new Toyotas!". And no, my car is not debadged. Also last weekend I overheard one little scrote say to the other "I much prefer the Leon over the Nissan" when they were comparing the contents of my driveway S.

Gave a flash (ooo-errr!) to a 06 plate silver on the Whitchurch (Shrops) ringroad last night at about 5.15pm. Doubt it was a member as silvers don't join in the fun. S.

Haha, that's pretty cool! Your Audi mate looks like a contender for that YPLAC site S.

Just a quick update as I know my boiler problems have probably caused some readers of this post sleepless nights... It looks like we're just gonna get the gas dude to install and we'll source the Worcester/magnaclean/thermostat etc ourselves. He says labour only charges will be 700/800 and says it will be a 2 - 2.5 day job with two guys working. That sounds quite reasonable to me for the length of the job but if anyone thinks otherwise then let me know! We had another quote from a bloke who's friends with a neighbour who couldn't beat the original one. the kitchen's actually been inspired by my Zed....shiny, black and curvy! I've even found unit handles that look the same as the 350 door handles but Mr Squee says I'm taking things a bit over the top Cheers again for your responses! S.

Hahaha, I really like the chrome wrapped Zed.....but then I'm a massive chav so I would! Great pics S.

reason I bought it S.

Glad you got it sorted With regards to the BuddyClub...I have it on my 350z along with Berks HFC's (de-bunged always unless on track) and not too loud for me at all in fact my 350z is my quiet car compared to the z32 which frequently sets other car alarms off Having said that the ZX is in having some welding and a bit of TLC at a grage where their gonna fit a JapSpeed exhaust as the existing one wasn't stainless steel and patching up- the mechanic had a second hand JS one in and said he'd put it on for only a few quid. Among the ZX enthusiasts the JapSpeed stuff doesn't seem to be considered as crap as on these boards...maybe as it's an older model car JapSpeed have had more years to perfect fitment issues? S.

thanks again for your replies all...very much appreciated! I can see why £1300 would be 'taking the pi$$' if the Worcester was £1100 but we didn't ask him to quote for a Worcester. We asked for a budget boiler option and a decent boiler price. our current system is primatic (I think that's the right word)...got a big hot water tank in the loft. There's an upstairs bathroom with shower over bath and downstairs showeroom which is the only room we use... Twelve radiators in total...our hot water pressure is crap so I'm hoping that changing to combi will make that better. I was hoping this might be an option tbh and will look into sourcing our own. Someone said you can buy decent Worcesters second hand on Ebay but it sounds like a bit of a can of worms though Ricey and Pete...cheers for the info...my uncle's getting the number of some gas dude but I might get some contact numbers from you if he's no good Cheers again you lot S.

I'm trying to see the joke here but I'm stumped. S.

cheers you lot, I appreciate it. We're having the kitchen done at the same time, being fitted by a bloke who's done work for us before and is very good. The gas guy is the joiner's friend and whilst I know we're fully in our rights to get whoever we like to do the gas stuff it would keep it easy using the joiner's pal but equally I don't want to pay a mahoosive premium for it. The gas dude is fully registered and has done work for my parents and they've been very pleased with his work. my dad initially thought it would be in the region of £1300...my assumption that the quote is significantly higher is because we're swapping from primatic to combi which means removal of a big hot water tank in the loft I'm based in Chester by the way. Cheers again, S. edit...the Worcester has 6 year guarantee and the cheaper one 5 years...but this would be the same with whoever installs it I presume? I don't know if we sourced the boiler ourselves and just paid labour whether we'd still get a guarantee?

Put a deposit down on my first Zed today!

congrats you'll love it S. -
ok, I know this is a car forum but I know there's a few plumbers gas engineers on here and I'd be massively grateful if anyone could say if this quote is decent or should we tell them to bounce? Our current system is ancient and is primatic and we want to go to a combi and also move the current floor standing boiler to a wall mounted one on an exterior facing wall of the kitchen. We've had two quotes from the same guy, one for a Worcester 34CDi and one for a Ideal Logic35kw, the all in price for the Worcester boiler and fitting is £2400 and the price for the whole job with the IdealLogic boiler £2200. As mentioned the price is for the whole job so inc labour and testing. The price also includes thermostats but they've quoted for standard digital ones but we want wifi ones. Also Magaclean system cleanser is in the prices. Massive thanks in advance, S.

Hey kids....the HotUKDeals site's now saying you can only get £2 max cash back so perhaps only bother with this if you're very bored or badly need two quid! Fodder....you can't be looking hard enough S. -
