I run my tank till I have about 25-50 miles left according to the DTE reading and it usually takes around 45-50 litres to fill it to the brim. Where is my other 30 litres hiding???? 54 plate UK gt by the way

If you drove EXACTLY the same, would it not slightly increase it due to things flowing more freely? Just guessing, not saying this is right!

Stock back box, custom 3" straight pipe to aftermarket y pipe. Anyone done this and know if it's any louder than stock?? I understand its probably not great for flow, just putting it out there!

I don't think this is a cobra y pipe looking at the shape of it. It's more likely a japspeed one I would say so probably not worth 150 IMO

I'm pretty sure the cobra y pipe's joins nearer the top, probably a jap, mine lasted 2 years so not too bad..

Yes i have the stock one. I am happy for extra volume but do you think it will also drone more low down?

Would adding an aftermarket y pipe make it drone more or less at 2-2.5k???

Try searching for a thread called 'reduced sound out put after replacing o/e bose ?' Not sure how to do a link to it I'm afraid! Basically I had the same when I replaced my Bose head unit and it made it very quiet with not great sound quality. I then used line boosters to up the volume which made it Better but still not great... And then I found this thread, did the wiring mod which cost all of about 3 quid and it has transformed my stereo into something very respectable! Very loud volume, crisp sound, good bass.. So I would recommend trying this first before throwing loads of money at it :-)

If I cruised on the A roads at 90 all the time, my mpg would be awful!! Im quite happy plodding along below 70 most of the time to be honest!!

Can't seem to find an answer for this anywhere but my question i pose to you is this.... Which DESIGN of y pipe would flow better/ give more sound, either the japspeed design where most of the length of the pipes are in 2.5" and then meet up right at the end to change to 3".. Or the Cobra design where the 2.5" pipes meet much earlier and then the main length of the pipe is in 3"??? Ps this is not brand related and i know japspeed are poo just interested in what experience people have in this!!

I know its not ideal but the fronts and rears have been different for 2 years and the rears are super budget and rated awfully so Im thinking whatever I get will be an improvement

Well i have toyo proxes TR1 on the front which im definately not changing.. this is why i also had in mind the proxes T1 Sport as the TR1 are discontinued but people are saying steer clear so now im left feeling rather confused....
