I fitted facelift cloth seats in my '54 and they went in fine, surprised there's a difference. I remember doing something similar, I think mine weren't sat quite right. When I seated them correctly it all lined up. I think i placed the rear points first. Although sounds like you've already tried...

Link doesn't work, but you'll need a hub, which will hopefully come with an airbag fuse (unlike mine).

I've fitted a simoni steering wheel hub and an isotta steering wheel and have 2 issues: 1. To keep the slip sensor in the correct place my new hub forces the steering wheel not to be straight. v annoying, is there anything I can do to recalibrate the sensor? Or is there something i'm missing? 2. I fitted a 2.2k 0.5 watt resistor to get around the airbag issue, but cut through the 3 wires for the stereo controller (no cruise control) and now have an airbag warning. Are these 3 wires causing my problem or is my resistor just dead or not connected properly? Or could it be the wire for the airbag sensor, I saw some mention of not twisting it? Hope someone can help, this is my 2nd mod, after my gear knob which vibrated off, so not going well so far... Cheers, Rich
