Still not heard a dicky bird from the insurance company yet, getting really fed up now . Anyone offer any words of wisdom or something to cheer me up?

Yeah i wanna see some pics, might cheer me up a bit. Someone took pics of my accident too which might be helpful to see for my insurance.

Yeah everything is fully declared, so if they decide to repair i should get it back as good if not better than it was. However with the mods costing more cash it pushes the repair cost up so if its classed as a uneconomical repair they will write it off and give me a option to buy it back. By the way who took photos of the accident, can you post them here or send them too me i may need some decent pics for the insurance company.

Cheers Mark. Im insured with a company called Chaucer but took the policy through Sky insurance. Yeah its like for like insurance but unfortunately it means sod all should they write it off. Just praying at the moment that there isnt much structural damage.

Yeah traction control is really unpredictable and i think the bigger wheels make it even worse. Before i got the car all modified i used to always run with it off, just ironic i only started having it on just to stop me getting too carried away. No probs with mine on 20s. Maybe luck of the draw. I can honestly saw my TC has been 100% predictable since fitting t1rs about 2 years ago. It only comes on if provoked. Yeah i agree with you Stew it has been fine since i got it back and came on when i would expect it to come on but in this situation with the road surface change the car simply didnt know what the hell to do and cut the power just as i had started to correct the slide which was unfortunately too late. Its just the roll on the dice really at the end of the day and ive just been unfortunate but lucky that its only metal and fibreglass that needs fixing and not bones.

I AM SPARTA!!!!!! Yeah everyone was great and i cannot thank them enough. Have contacted the correct insurance company now and they are gonna get someone to inspect it. Fingers crossed they dont write it off but you know how lazy these insurance companies can be nowadys when it comes to fixing things. Lets hope for a quick turnaround else im gonna miss the Wales trip for a 2nd year

Thanks for the kind words guys, just got up and feeling very stiff, just about to phone the insurance company and find out what needs to be done. The car is fully insured on a like for like basis so there should be any probs getting it all fixed up, just a pain in the arse. Will keep you updated.

Just a quick thankyou to all those who stayed with me to help out with my car after the accident especially BulletMagnet your a legend. To let you all know im fine and home in one piece now just feel a little battered and bruised. The car is at a lock up in Dartford at present, i will get in contact with the insurance company tomorrow first thing and hopefully can get it repaired quickly. For those that are unaware of tonights preceedings i basically had some sort of freekish accident coming off a roundabout. We had just been through a huge puddle and i entrered the roundabout at only 40 ish but the back end stepped out like i was on ice. I manged to control the slide but then hit grippy tarmac and the traction control activated and i played pinball off of 2 barriers finally coming to rest on a crossing. Im sure there are some more photos of the accident floating around but heres one i took Thanks again guys Mark
