  5. If your bonnet is like mine you need about 100lbs of pressure, you have to be really careful tho.
  6. Make sure you bring plenty of Megs Endurance Gloss as my tyres will need doing when i get there It wasnt clean at Billing so why bother. you cheeky bugger! You have a show car and its a show so you should be fine this week. Its still spotless from cleaning it 3 times over the weekend anyway

  10. Best bet is buy a cheap set off Ebay to get the brackets. Then work out how long you want the new gas strut to be, the longer the strut the higher your bonnet will open but i personally recommend leaving the relatively short the carbon bonnet dont like the wind too much. Once you have this measurement you can ring a company up the road from me called Gas Stuts on 01234 221430. Speak to a guy called Mike Lacey and tell him you want some struts made for a carbon bonnet he will know how much pressure to put in them as standard, think its about 100 lbs. You have the option of getting them in stainless or black (you could get some vinyl at a later date and wrap em any colour). Then you can just send them the brackets so they can get the correct fitments on the struts. I personally went for the stainless and they come with a release valve so you can let some pressure out if they are too strong, you can always get them to re-fill em if you take too much out. Feel free to pm me if you have any more questions, heres what mine look like:
  11. +1 to western digital. I got 2 My books, 1 500gb which ive had for about 3 years and never had a problem, and more recently i got a 2TB one and is also fine. Also the 2 TB has a great security feature and you cant gain access to it when you boot the pc unless you supply the password.

Me too Mart, I really don't know why more members don't turn up to this. The Zclub guys are a great group, Billing is a good location for all to get too and accommodation there is dirt cheap. I paid £30 to camp for 2 nights, the little cabins are £40 a night with electricity plumbed in and static's are a couple of hundred but easily sleep 2 couples or 3-4 single people. Lets get some better turn out to these events, we are a large club and can only muster 3 members, shocking!
  15. 15 Days is now past, so all can vote again, still in 3rd place so every little helps
  16. If your confident that you have removed all the retaining screws there are no clips that can be broken really. If the headunit is still in place its fairly strong and i doubt you will break anything, pull up from bottom a little so you can get your fingers in then yank. Its probably just a bit tight in there. Dont be afraid if it breaks it can be glue'd and from Lee they are pretty cheap but as i said i dont reckon you could break it easy, they are stronger than they look.
  17. Did you definitely remove the screws from the cubby hole? there a rubber mat that sits in there that hides a couple of screws. If so try lifting it out from the bottom a little bit then it should come out from the top easily enough.

Had a brilliant weekend, just a shame the weather wasn't consistent for all of it. Well done Martin for your award and well done Chris for getting the sympathy award Going to chill and have a early night as after 2 nights in a tent im so looking forward to my bed. Hopefully have a better turn out next weekend.
  19. Jay thats terrible mate, ive had similar instances in the past. The best thing to do when you have accident and before you phone the insurance is get a stranger or friend of friend to come forward as a witness or find one at the scene of the accident. As Nixy said no witness most go 50/50 which is a load of rubbish and a waste of time having insurance. Hope you get it all sorted soon dude.
  20. Gets my vote for post of the year. Thank you Rob, although only one thing should get your vote http://www.totalcarmagazines.co.uk/idol-nissan-2.htm
