Hi all, Has anyone here used or heard of Simons custom exhausts in East Kilbride? I'm thinking of going to him for a custom exhaust. I cant really afford a miltek system and im not sure of the tailpipes on the scorpion! Simon sounds really professional, also he has done numerious 350Z systems. When I was there he was repairing a K2 systems flexi pipes on the Y section for a customer. I know custom systems aren't a brand name but I can get exactly what I want. Also all exhausts are guarenteed for life and can be modified at anytime to make them louder etc.
-
Miltek is my first choice, but cant afford cat back system as ive just bought my Z and ive spent a fortune on it in the last 2 weeks, if i could get y section back then I probably could afford it! But not sure if thats possible? Second choice is the scorpion Y section back, but not sure of the tail pipes.

Find out who they are and return the favour (discretly), Its only my opinion! Would rather loss my pride and joy than let someone off with that kind of nonsence!

Anyone selling a Miltek, Scorpion or Japspeed K2 exhaust? Stuart.

Sorry meant to say, price between scorpion and custom isnt an issue. For what i want it for the scorpion is more than adequate. i just thought for more or less the same price i could have a custom system. had my mind made up for the scorpion, but now i cant make my mind up. Scorpion is a safe bet, but I'm not sure of the tail pipes, custom I can choose to keep it looking stock! theres a guy on here from fife who has a custom job with two seperate cans and it is honestly the best sounding exhaust i have ever heard. his names jason btw You going to the Gym on monday mate?

Just about to order my Scorpion Y section back exhaust and a friend suggested a custom made stainless steel system. I contacted a few manufacturers and there slightly cheaper than the Scorpion system. Price isnt an issue I just want the best system for the car. Anyone running a custom system or have any views/ opinions on them?

Wouldn't mind going mate but i dont think I would show my car as Its totally standard!

Alright mate, I'm in Wishaw near Motherwell. I went today and had a listen to Mark at the Garage in motherwell's Scorpion system really like the sound of it and its reasonable priced! So i'm going to order one in a few weeks. I'll keep my eye on the meets page and I'll get along to the next one.

Alrighty, I'm new to the forum and I was wondering how often there are Scottish meets? Anyone know when the next central scotland meet is? I'm buying a new zorst in the next few weeks and i'd like to hear what they sound like in the flesh. Also i think i have the rear axle clicking problem and i'd like a second opinion from someone in the know!
-
Hi, i've just bought my first 350z. I have a noise from the back axle area that I cant locate. When I accelerate quite hard theres a noise from the back end. Not sure if its a clicking noise or not! Sounds more like metal tapping against metal. It only does it when the back end drops when I accelerate then again when the back end comes back up. Thought it may be a suspension issue like a worn bush or drop link, but everything looked fine when it was serviced two weeks ago. It dosen't do it when i go over uneven roads or potholes. Also it dosen't happen when driven slow forwards or backwards. : Stuart

I think that's pretty much the case on any decats? Berk HFC's don't though apparently Think i'll go for the Scorpion Y section back system, then if the Y section needs replaced I'll replace it and fit decats at the same time!
-
If i used decat pipes would it through up warning lights. I tried it on my VXR and it was a nightmare!
-
Budget for Y section back about £450 max, Cats back £700.

I think the scorpion system is what i'm going to get! just need to make sure i can get a stainless Y section for it if the time ever comes. I had a full Remis system on my VXR and it was way too loud, ended up buying a full turbo back scorpion system for it and it was awesome!
-
Alrighty, Ive recently sold my Astra VXR and bought a 2005 350Z. My exhaust had a tiny blow just between the back box and the middle section. Ive looked at replacing it with a stock backbox, but i'm very tempted to upgrade to a stainless steel system. I understand that there will be hundreds of threads on this subject, but i'm just looking for some advice. I dont want anything to loud! I was thinking about a scorpian Y pipe back system. I was told that scorpion dont produce the Y section, Is this correct? Also is there any Y sections on the market that are compatable with the scorpion system? Or is there anything else I should consider?

Ive just bought my first Z. I live 2 minutes from the garage and I took my Z in for a full service and check over last week. Mark at the garage was great, really approachable and answered all my questions. They gave me a really good price aswell. You travelling up from England to get you clutch fitted?
-
I've just had a major service at an independant specialist, I got them to change the diff oil and gearbox oil. Also had coolant system flushed and brake fluid changed as well. Didnt really cost much more.

Thanks for the welcome mate. Yip i've just bought one 2 weeks ago. Its a gunmetal grey GT with the orange leather. I've just had a wee door ding removed and had it detailed. Its up on axle stands at the minute because all four wheels are away until friday for a refurb. Only one wheel had a little oxidation around the valve, but to ensure a perfect colour match ive had all four done. I'll post some pics as soon as my wheels are back!
-
Thanks for the advice mate, i'll give it a try. Ive got some jetseal, not sure if that would work ok?

Hi, I a newbie to the forum so not sure where to post this. Ive just bought a 350z. Really pleased with it so far! I had a small bit of oxidation on one of my rear wheels, so I have sent all four wheels of to have a total refurb (powdercoated). Does anyone know what if anything I should put on my wheels before I fit them back onto my car? I was thinking of sealing or waxing them, any ideas?
