Never do that dude, you will end up all bitter and twisted and drown under a mound of paper bigger than your house. Just chill and crack on with life Do you live in Canada mate?

I read the book Charlotte's web at primary school and I can't get it out my head now! There are far too many problems in life nowadays. I spent all day jotting down what's wrong with everything. Life Is a whole lot easier when your getting punched about the head!

Just in from a twelve hour shift. Everything started ok until the wee wifey from the staff restaurant brought me round 2 rolls on bacon. I said "I've stopped eating red meat". She said "why" I replied "because of animal cruelty". She said " it's dead now and if you don't eat it, then it died in vein"! So as a mark of respect I ate the lot, but that's me finished with it from Monday!

The health issue's can be argued either way. If you believe every thing you read you wouldn't get out of bed in the morning. It's just the whole animal cruelty thing that puts me off. I know there are far worst things going on in society today than animal cruelty, such as child abuse etc. But at least I can do something about the fact I hate animal abuse. "Every little helps"! It's weird because on an average day, I train with some of the wildest, toughest dudes in the country, that are happy too punch me in the face and try to rip my arms off, but a lot of them don't eat meat for the same reason I'm giving up. Makes me laugh sometimes!
-
Yeah nature can be pretty cruel, most of the time the hunters take down the sick/weak prey, think that helps with evolution etc. I don't think the wolves have many options though and not many wild animal kill for the sake of it, I think. I just think there are so many options out there for me, I might even enjoy them!

Lol, think I'm getting old!

I can't argue with you dude, it's just a personal choice and I was wondering if anyone else felt the same way. The world is full off things that are wrong. I even worried a bit about the ozone when I had my zed. Lol. It's weird because I really don't mind beating the crap out of folk in the ring or on the mats etc, but their consenting adults and now and again I get payed back, lol. Going back to the wild animal thing, everyone knows that our saliva and teeth are the first part of our digestion system, carnivore's in the wild's saliva is pretty acidic, whereas us humans have an alkali saliva that is not very good for digesting meat. That's probably one of the main reasons why meat eaters suffer all kinds of side effects, such as constipation rite through to colon cancers etc.

Yeah mate, I love a good steak. I was out last week for my son's 21st birthday celebrations and I had the best rib eye I've ever had. I love nothing more than a lean steak medium- well done with mushrooms, onions and pepper sauce. But after watching some of the video's on YouTube about abattoirs and the treatment of some of the beasts, I'm finished with it. I never gave much thought to animals in general, but I've got two wee dogs now and when I think about how intelligent they are, it got me thinking about other animals. I also studied for a degree in Environmental Health and covered loads of nutrition etc, therefore I think I will manage.

As from today, I've stopped eating meat, if it's got 4 legs I'm not eating it. I will continue eating fish and chicken until I decide otherwise, but I'm finished with meat. My decision has nothing to do with all the recent publicity about horse meat etc, its purely down to animal cruelty and the fact that I don't want to eat anything that is more intelligent than some humans I know! Any advice is welcome regarding substitutes etc as I train really hard in several contact sports and I lift weights everyday. I'm not going to be one of those non meat eaters that criticise's anyone, it's just a personal choice!

Now that I have go to see! A successful LPG Derv conversion! Sorry, I think I complicated things there. What I meant was, leave the zed as it is and buy a cheap diesel car. Lol.
-
Why don't you keep the zed and use the cash that you would spend converting it to LPG on a diesel shed!
-
But you forgot what else i said, runs is own Luxury Valeting Service. Specialises in Luxury cars etc, boats and all that I bet he's a joiner as well!

That's exactly what happened to an elderly colleague of mine, when he took his skodia fabia for an mot and service. I suggested he took it to my brother in law who worked at an independent garage at the time. Surprisingly all it needed was front pads. The gentlemen returned to kwik fit to complain and there excuse was to highlight the fact that there was only around 8-9k miles left on everything and as most folk drive an average of 12k miles per year, they wouldn't last until his next service/mot.

he may have to look in england for a teaching job, but even then its small picking at the moment in certain subjects. what i would reccomend is for him to look at a 2nd subject. alot of schools are desperate for maths teachers and often offer pe jobs that are mainly maths with a bit of PE. if he's willing to teach something else, especially if he has a little background in that area might give him a boost in employment credentials. drop me a line if you like, been teaching for 9 years now, am also a trainee teaching mentor; happy to offer advice, Thanks for the advice. I tried to talk him into primary education as he has acquired around 200 hours of voluntary work in the last 4 years working with active school's coordinators. One of the head teachers also suggested it to him.
-
Lol, no mate, he's too honest for that. He would only make £150 a day!

This country needs more folk like your son. My son left School at 17 and went straight to Uni, he has worked 2 part time jobs, as life guard and as a hospital operating theatre assistant since he was 17. He also volunteers in a local primary school every week when he's got a half day at Uni. He trains every night mon-fri at TKD and football and plays at a high level. I'm not looking forward to him finishing uni in may as there's simply no jobs for PE teachers just now. His Pal on the other hand left School at 16 and as never had a job and he is 21.
