  1. Probably felt cramped because i'm a big lad. Yeah 28i would be better, but when you look at the price difference i'd probably be better of with the 35i. But their serious cash! Also would you do me a favour and refrain from correcting my spelling/grammar, it's not that i cant spell, it's more down to the fact i cant be arsed.
  2. Sorry to hear that mate. Just think of the good times you had with him!
  3. The guy who fitted my boiler did so whilst he was in the transition of working for british gas and starting his own buisness. He did a flush of my system and everything was registered. The boiler he asked to be delivered from the merchant was out of stock, therefore they delivered the next size p for no extra cost and its never missed a beat in 10 years!
  4. Hardly. I'm a plumber by trade myself. Not all Worcester boilers are that expensive, and if you think they are then I'd suggest speaking to your merchant. Even a quick google of retail prices reveals that you can get them significantly cheaper, although granted we have no idea exactly what model it is so either one of us could be nearer the mark. Plummerman has it spot-on, some great advice. Yes. Again, you paid for a day's work and the knowledge, not the actual time spent doing the job. I really can't be bothered to go through all this again, though. Yeah i realise i paid for a days work, but i was simple asking if that was a good price, thats all.
  5. Aye, but there's making a living and making a killing, not the same thing. Also there's a big difference between fitting a boiler and firing down some flooring. Guy that fitted my last boiler got the stuff delivered to my house and i paid on arrival. Then he charged me £350 for fitting it. Took him 5 hours, do you think thats good value?
  6. I'm thinking about a new boiler soon. The gas engineer recommended the worchester as it comes with a full 5 years warrenty. So i can cancel my british gas service plan/ break down cover and the saving over the 5 years will pay for the boiler. I will have to pay for the annual service though.
  7. Bloody BMW dealers calling me and tempting me with cracking deals. I had a test drive today, it felt rather cramped inside. The 20i felt as if the hand break was on. I felt the car had a lot more to offer. Think i'm just going o stick with what I've got and spend £7k on a zed and keep it forever and ever!
  8. I bought my wife a 10 month old corsa a few years ago. Anyway i negotiated the first service in with the purchase price. I asked for the service to be carried out before delivery. When i picked up the car i had a funny feeling that it had not been serviced, but the service book was all stamped. I questioned it with the sales manager and a few days later he confirmed it had not been serviced. The workshop foreman had been stealing service parts for homers. They got the police involved and when they checked the guys locker it was full of stuff. I got a 3 year service plan for free. The dealer asked me to keep it to myself as they could lose there franchise over it. Also they would have to recal cars.
  9. Yip, all 3 have the N20B20 engine. The Z4 sdrive 20i has a 2L twin turbo, my e92 2.0i has the same engine with no turbo and both cars have the same bhp. But Z4 is quicker to 60 though. Wonder why bmw would give a 2l twin turbo and 2l na engine the same power output!
  10. OK, i know its a 350z forum but there's alot of really knowledeable members on here. I'm thinking about buying a Brand new BMW Z4 sdrive 20i m sport. This model comes as a Z4 sdrive 18i m sport ( from march 2013), Z4 sdrive 20i m sport, Z4 28i m sport. The dealer told me that they are all the exact same car apart from the power outputs. They all have 2.0L twin turbo engines ( twin scroll). The 20i is a detuned version of the 28i and the 18i is detuned even more. Question is could the sdrive 18i and 20i be tuned to the same power output as the 28i? I understand warrenty would be void etc, but i'm just curious. The list price difference between the 18i and 28i is around £7k, seems alot considering its only the mapping on the car thats different. They also do a sdrive 35i and 35is but cant afford one of them, lol.
  11. I'm looking for something bog standard with rays. I would consider a zed with a factory nismo kit though!
  12. I'm thinking about buying another Zed. I phoned 3 different dealers today regarding gunmetal GT's advertised on autotrader and all 3 had already been sold today! And i thought i would be able to pick up a bargain. Suppose its good for Zed prices that there selling even at this time of year.
  13. I think this is the biggest issue you have to work on ,...,,as much as I love my 335i, I didn't buy it because its a BMW, I bought it because it is a very good car that does everything I want (speed/rear seats/decent ecnomomy/blends in with the crowd). BMW do some great cars, 135i/335i/1M/M3 etc...but they also do alot of boring cars which they make lots of money from because people buy them for the badge/brand (as you have found out with your 320i). The only Z4 worth considering would be one with a 6 cylinder engine, even than theres no real reason why you should pick a Z4 over a 370Z or Boxster. I know if I had £25 to spend and didn't need to worry about having rear seats/boot I don't think any BMW would get anywhere near the short list Saw this and thought, you would need to be mad! http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/bmw/1-series/1-series-hatchback-m135i-m-performance-5dr-step-auto/1010845
  14. Yip, can't argue with any of the above comments. Think I will be better keeping the 320i and buying a 350z as a second car. Then when the times right sell the 320i, as LRF4N suggested. If I could get a good trade in towards a 370z I would consider it also but don't think it's going to happen!
  15. Not very fast, but I really liked the 2 I owned. http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/hyundai/coupe/hyundai-coupe-2-0-se-3dr-2005/1001869
  16. £25k, only because its brand new and with a £7k dealer contribution.
  17. Thanks for the replies folks. I was looking for a BMW e92 335i m sport plus through the BMW network, but there like hens teeth. Dealer phoned to ask if I would like a new Z4 instead. Really liked the look of it and it drove really well. But I thought there was a slight wift of hairdresser ness from it. The roof is brilliant thought.
  18. Ok, I've got a E92 320i m sport plus at present. It's just turned 1000 miles, but slightly under powered for me. I would like another 2 seater and also a roadster this time but don't want to pay the fuel bill or tax for a 370z. Anyway i like the BMW brand and I think the brand new Z4 sdrive 20i or Z4 sdrive 28i in m sport trim is pretty cool. Don't be fooled by the badge number, both are 2.0l with twin turbo's. Also they are very economical and cheap to tax and hold good value. Some photos. http://cars.uk.msn.com/reviews/bmw-z4-sdrive28i-review-2012-onwards They also do a new Z4 sdrive 35i which is out of my budget tbh.
  19. Wish it was as easy as that, there's a massive waiting list. If it doesn't work out I'm defo going to Denver Colorado. They dont speak french in Colorado, so thats a plus Or put Albuquerque, New Mexico on the list Yeah mate, on my wish list.
