Thanks for the info. I am horrifically inexperienced in anything like this, so I am really hoping I don't bugger it up because brakes are quite important when one needs to stop. haha

At least we have already won the series against Australia in the rugby

It'll be a standard England Last 16 or QF knockout I am sure... possibly even on penalties to go with tradition!
-
I wouldn't be so sure about that... I get the impression that when teams are actually in the competitive Euro/World Cup games, they tend to be a lot more cautious. I'd say that Scotland would do alright if they managed to qualify. Just look at how Portugal has performed against Iceland and Austria!

Got to find a bar tonight to watch it in with both games up on multiple screens! Having a Russian missus has definitely made this Euro 2016 competition more interesting for me!

Congratulations!

That looks really nice! Need to have my headlights refurbed professionally I think as there's only so much I can do!

Hi guys, So I know I've probably asked about this previously thinking that it relates to the bushes, but I've had the car looked at by a mate who is a mechanic and he seems to think that the bushes are fine and it's something different causing this irritating squeaking noise. Symptoms: When driving along at varying speeds, the car seems to make this squeaking noise when I have the wheel turned a slightly different angles. The frequency of the squeak varies depending on the speed I am travelling (the faster I am going, the quicker the frequency). But as I say, it is only at certain times when the steering wheel is turned at specific angles. Mechanic's Advice: After taking a look under the Zed, he reckons that there might be a small stone trapped between the brake pad and the discs. He rotated the wheel while it was up on the lift, and showed me how the pad seems to constantly be touching the disc and is not completely free of it at all times. Is this normal? The heat shield is clear of the disc, so the problem does not lie there. He said that at different degrees, the distance between the brake pad and disc will change slightly and his recommendation was to take the pad off and give the whole area a good cleaning. So I suppose what I am asking is, has anyone had this issue before? And also, as I have never done it before but I have been told it's very easy, is there any guide on how to remove the brake pads and clean them yourself? Thanks a lot, Ryan

Looking good indeed... but for how long!

To be fair, I can understand why he is a bit reluctant to try it himself if he is completely new to this, and not very "hands on". I wasn't either when I bought my zed... but I changed the badges up myself, just as long as you do it in a meticulous way and be careful, take your time, you'll have no problems at all. One thing I noticed is that I'm often far too gentle when doing something DIY with the zed... trust yourself and you'll be fine

How easy would fitment be for this? And would it fit under the OEM DE bonnet with that modified strut bar?

Jesus! Hope that everyone involved is okay!! -
Out of interest for the brushed gear knob, why do you want to sell it? I considered getting one of those but I read a few people saying it was not a good feel... so instead I managed to source a Nismo CF one.

This referendum is even more of a farce than the Scottish independence referendum turned out to be!! Don't get me wrong though, I was more than happy to support the Scottish people with whatever decision they chose in that one... I think that the only reason it swung in favour of staying in the UK was because Alex Salmond didn't provide enough concrete facts about what would happen should independence be achieved. In this instance, it's just simple scaremongering from both sides. Absolute joke.

I'm looking for any spoiler that anyone wants to sell that is already painted in WV2 paint code! lol

As long as it's not seized, I wouldn't bother taking it down the stealership. I had a the P0340 come up a few years back. They wanted to charge me about 200€ for the sensor and a further 90€ to fit it. I instead took a look into it a bit and turns out they were going to charge me an hour's labour for something that would take merely 5 minutes maximum!

Also, with regards to paying into the system, I told you that I underwent my university studies in England for 4 years between 2006 and 2010. So I am currently in the process of paying off my Student Loan to the SLC. Would a student loan in excess of £30,000 not be considered as paying into the system?

Because hes been happy to distance himself from politics/elections and how we chose to live our lives until this point, and its only now that something may impact him in Luxemberg that hes suddenly interested in UK affairs? I'm sorry if this is not accurate but its how it comes over from reading the posts here on the forum which is all i can form an opinion on. My point being that the Leave campaign have leaned on immigration (and many people on FB have mentioned it overtly) as a reason to leave - because they believe in the power of those born here - why is it because RS hasnt been here for last decade his right to decide on the UK when also being born here doesn't apply? Its basically making a hypocrisy of the immigration argument, that they say being born here gives you the right - when in fact what its really about, is paying in. So my argument above, those born here and never paid in we take their vote away right? And those that were born in the UK lived in the UK and worked every day of their lives here, retired and moved to Spain ten years ago, they don't get a say? Prime example of this is my parents. Both of which were born, lived and worked in England for over 25 years and owned 2 properties in the UK... paying into the system for all those years. Fast-forward to today - they live out here in Luxembourg, With my mum due to retire in the next year or two. Do you they have the right to vote in the referendum? - No. To this day, my parents still own a property in the UK which is being rented out. To be fair, after discussing with my father, he would probably even vote to leave for whatever reason he has to do this... but my argument is not necessarily about the overall decision. It's simply about having the right to have your own say when you deserve it!

I appreciate your situation but I feel it would be unfair for someone who has spent the last 18yrs living outside of the country trying to dictate to those of us who still reside here how we should be living our lives. The same way I can imagine all the ex-pats in Spain and their ilk getting their knickers in a twist over it. I also appreciate your point of view, but I am 100% British through and through, which is something that not that many people can say about their lineage these days. Just because I have not been living in the country, doesn't mean that I do not deserve a say in what happens. From my point of view, the fact that I have a British Passport, the same passport that I have had since birth, adding to the fact that I was born and raised in England, should mean I have the right to have my say in this.

It's more of a case of uncertainty that worries me. Fact is that 77% of Luxembourg's workforce is foreign, many of which come from the UK. What worries me the most is that I do not have a permanent contract over here, and the resultant factors post-Brexit could mean that my life over here is over. This is not for sure, but it is far from out of the realms of the possibility! If a revised deal was on the cards should we choose to remain, I think it would be for the best. After all, we are what makes the EU great. http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2016/jun/03/luxembourg-britain-brexit-referendum-eu
-
I have a rather jaded point of view on this subject as I live and work in Luxembourg (not on a permanent contract!) The consequences of a Brexit could potentially impact me quite heavily if I am not allowed to stay over here as a result. Worst part is that I am not entitled to vote!!! I moved out of the UK due to my father's job 18 years ago when i was 10, have been living abroad since then, except for my time at university between 2006 and 2010... which I thought would be my saving grace, but it turns out that because I did not register to vote while living back in the UK, I am not allowed to have a say in this. All I can do is hope that hope that those who want to vote to leave really have voted knowledgeably! and not because they want to "get the immigrants out" lol

IMO Vardy, Sturridge and Rashford should all start!
