  1. Something like this? http://www.courtesyparts.com/stant-locking-gas-cap-2003-2008-350z-p-19440.html?cPath=714_881_1236&
  2. Thanks everyone! Sadly no drunken stories to share as yesterday was spent in the recording studio working on our first album, makes a nice change not to have a raging hangover for once.
  3. Purchased my zed back in April of this year and have been lurking in the shadows on the forum but thought I'd take the plunge and join in. Pic of my car below although not at its cleanest. As a starter would appreciate everyone's input on the following discussion that I've been having with a good friend. It started as a discussion on thoughts to going down the twin turbo route but raised another alternative, fitting twin superchargers. I appreciate that there are supercharger kits already available for the Zed, however this would be more of a custom approach. The idea at present is to take two mini cooper eaton superchargers (one per bank), mega squirt injection system, modified camshaft pulleys to take an extra pulley wheel, fit a waste gate to the plenum charger (may require custom plenum), low compression pistons, cylinder head work, possible valve enlargement...this is when we decided that there is probably not enough space in the engine bay to accommodate and therefore wonder if its viable. I'll add at this stage I'm not mechanically minded and this descended from what he is thinking of doing to his moto guzzi v7, either with a down rated eaton supercharger or uprated supercharger lifted from a peugot scooter . May be flogging a dead horse with the idea but would be interesting to hear folks thoughts on whether this would be viable option.
  4. Infiniti at Braehead might be worth a shout, think I recall them saying they were capable of doing a full laser alignment when at the meet back in July
  5. Reading this thread and counting up on the fingers, 6 months for myself also. Picked the car up at the beginning of April and have covered a little over 4k so far, most of wich has been commuting to work but atleast the A roads get hit on the way home in contrast to the motorway in the morning. Enjoy every minute of it and always find myself with a big grin when I get out the car at the end of the day. Only been to one meet so far but will doubling that this coming Sunday with the Borders run, which am looking forward to. Haven't spent a huge amount on putting my mark on the car as of yet but have a list of things that I want to get done next year once I've got the funds in place as would prefer to do it all at once. To date my rather limited spend has included: K&N panel filters Club stickers Z boot carpet S2K stubby Tein S-Tech lowering springs 380RS gas pedal Car goes in for its first service under my ownership on Friday this week, which will include HKS braided break lines and a new set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports - it came with the Bridgestone 50As which I've found good when dry but absolutely useless in the wet. On my to do list - new discs and pads all round, Berk HFCs, new zorst (thinking either the Invida sold by Tarmac or alternatively a custom job), re-map, 25/20 Eibach spacers, Eibach sway bar and maybe a new set of rims but I do like the Rays on it at present although they're badly in need of a refurb as previous owner had curbed all but one. Don't know yet whether I will go down the route of any body modifications as like the look of the car standard but this may well change.
  6. Pedal received this afternoon, many thanks for the great service
  7. I fall into this category, Chris I, Mike (M13KYF) also advised that I share exactly the same name as another member of the forum
  8. Probably myself in the Temper Orange, stay in Bellshill and often take the old Edinburgh road when going into the office.
  9. Springs received to day, many thanks.
  10. You'll not get any mocking from me, used to own a blue 54 2.7V6 coupe (4 years ago) and also a red 07 SIII coupe (3 years ago), the 07 was followed by an 05 Audi A6 3.0TDI quattro, now the Z
  11. I'd say forget waiting and buy now. Picked mine up at the beginning of April this year and loving every minute of it. Used daily when not working from home and get usually about 360 miles out a tank, motorway in then A roads on the way back. As for petrol I do what it says in the manual but personally don't mind paying a few pence extra. Only downside to ownership so far is having to resist the urge to making a few modifications, although that has already started after having fitted K&N panel filters the other week, S2k stubby and new 350z boot carpet
