  1. i was wondering about true dual, what is best on offer?
  2. can you order the pipe alone? sorry its late and have a box of wine and getting my exhausts mixed up!!
  3. wish i could have made it, im in a forces job that means i move with less than 12 hours notice,
  4. so your scorpion with resonated centre pipe would help? Im not impressed with the Japspeed k2, its rusted very quickly and there's iffy rattle sounds,
  5. Your wiring sounds correct, have you attached your original as a check? just in-case maybe a fuse has blown?
  6. sorry to hijack your thread .... do you sell a centre pipe non resonated (quieter!) alone? I currently have Berk HFC's, Stillen Y pipe, Japspeed K2 rear, there is a horrid ear bleeding 1800-2000 rev range do you think an extra muffler would reduce this?
  7. well my first bugger up was the supplier of the interface loom, who sent me the wrong loom, the non bose loom, i then got the right loom sent, followed the guides on here, but found i had an extra black wire with a hoop connector, which says to me its a grounding wire, so i spliced it to the earth wire identified on the HU wiring sheet, worked fine after that if you have no sound but power on the unit, it very much seems like the SUB power on isnt working, as i am told the car's sound system needs the sub powered on first before any sound. When i got the correct loom i wired the sub power on to the HU loom's power line, it worked maybe look up the JVC head unit installation guides for inspiration as it helped me and i was an aircraft avionics engineer!
  8. i was told by Jez at horsham, there is no decent improvement over stock for intake filters, i was advised by Zaman to get a Velocity air stack kit from rtbiscuit, plus i added a plenum spacer kit and an MREV lower plenum, although it seems the jury is split on whether this is a good mod, i was told by suppliers in the USA it was originally made for the RevUp engine, but was re-designed in 2006 to suit earlier DE engines, there seems to be good reviews on the american 350 owners website, but once i get it all installed i'll post up a dyno sheet
  9. i had a JVC unit, which came with an extra grounding wire for which i had no idea, so spliced it to a known earth wire on the new HU loom, worked after that
  10. That's what i did when my first attempt didnt work, there was also a random earth cable with a hoop connector for whichi had no idea what it was, so i spliced that to the earth wire on the aftermarket loom too
  11. you're just a Yorkshire lass, they don't come weak!
  12. doesnt turn on at all? ooo sounds like a bad earth, are there any head unit build threads for you?
  13. you need slipknot for driving quickly
  14. i have a single shot Ak-103, it should make light work of the Bose, failing that my friend has a semi auto shotgun with sold slug rounds!
  15. well i would have sold the ipad personally , but morally the right thing to do
  16. If someone was patronising to you and told you, that you knew nothing, you'd sit there smiling huh? Quote : I recently bought theMREV lower plenum bolt-on. I am told by some this has no effect on non UpRev engines? can you offer any advice on this matter? To 'ConceptzPerformance' in the USA. Reply : That is incorrect, the original MREV was different for the UpRev engines back in the day, but they redesigned them back in 2006 to work for both applications. This was backed up by a certain well known trader on here, i wont quote him as i havent asked his permission. I guess we'll only see when the dyno is carried out if there's anything significant.
  17. I have that drone with my set-up, i find as long as you're not actually on the gas accelerating through the 1800-2000rpm range then its pretty quiet, if i want to go through that range i drop down a gear....not perfect but can work around it, the drone can be ear bleeding in a that rev area, even my vision goes a little weird to the frequency!
  18. its not bad advice, its the manner in which you presented it during that thread. As i said the advice i was given, and cut and paste this if needed, was the MREV was effective on the 2004 model i have, i know its not UpRev and that's one of the questions i asked before i bought it. So either i was told crap by the vendor and a couple of others i have asked or there is some basis in it. Either way i'll post the dyno sheet once its all done.
  19. my set up i love mostly, but at 2000rpm the cabin noise is ear bleeding, just that tiny rev range, im looking for a centre pipe muffler now, as most driving seems to sit around 2000rpm
  20. as said, i got it from RT biscuit, got the kit a couple of days ago, i have a plenum spacer plus an MREV 2 lower plenum ( for which i got slated by one or two people) , so after that lot fitted getting it re dyno'd
  21. i upset a 911 driver today from the lights.... i put it down to luck, but it did feel good
  22. phew, although its kinda cool, almost like a dump valve !
