i think i got sold by the company selling them in the states, claiming it was re-designed to be suitable for the DE engine, but hey ho, i have it now, might as well fit it along with my spacer, if i have egg on my face after...then its a learning experience!

when i do an economy test i always reset on a straight level road and switch the cruise control on, i also have a OBD2 gadget which gives a running consumption reading, this is all post UpRev mapping which improved my economy

im having an MREV 2 lower fitted soon, soon as i get some dyno figures i'll post them on here, i can be the guinea pig, if i get nothing then i'll just have to swallow my pride and think what i could have spent the $400 on instead!

Im looking at getting a single mass flywheel myself, from what the guys say on here it helps the engine rev more, but you get more noise/rattle than standard set up. As to what they are like to live with i don't know, i'd expect more stalling!

The rattle is the inside skin of the exhaust tips, they go loose over time thus producing the rattle, once warmed up it goes away as it expands with heat. As to the noise, I don't have that on mine... oh so its not in the baffles of the actual box then? it does go away when warm as you say, but its not a good image to have a rattling exhaust, makes it look like you're driving a bag of bolts! i was considering changing the rear for a scorpion set up with non resonating centre pipe, the current setting is just too loud

i think im going to ditch my k2 as well, its now making a horrid rattling sound when cold, plus the noise around 2k revs is deafening in the cabin, also makes my eyes go blurry! i do my best to avoid 2k revs now!

Where did you find the box? i remember your thread ages ago, Im starting to get irritated by my second gear, some mornings it won't engage at all, ive replaced the oil and added molyslip, it improved generally, but 2nd is still a pig

Ah thanks, i wasnt sure if it was a strengthening beam or some form of bracket, im planning to get it removed and treated, i just don't like seeing rusty things! cheers people

well i have Pirelli P Zero's all round, in the rain today i managed to 4 wheel drift across a round-about and then fish tail it for another 20m or so on the exit....i dont know if it was just oil build-up, but the car just suddenly let go...all was good though, the truck i just missed seemed to enjoy it anyway

i recently bought a GPS based detector, i wouldnt trust it to tell me the time of day, far too many mobile camera's out there. I would like to know if older style radar/laser detectors are still out there?
