  1. Copied from a previous track day thread I started. Everything is the same except thedate.

Now that we've had a few drive out's around Wales and the Peak District I thought a few of you might be interested in a bit of fun on track!

It's a "novice only" trackday aimed at people with less than 3 trackdays under their belt. I went to this exact one around 2 years ago in my 350z and it was an awesome day. You don't have to worry about people constantly overtaking or having to move over all the time to let people through as most people there take their time round the track as it's their first go to. The guys there also take you out on a sighting lap so you get to see the course at a slow pace.

You can book some tuition for £25 which is well worth it after a few hours as the difference a well trained driver/instructor can make is incredible.

It doesn't matter what car you take really as there are always people in things you never thought you'd see on track like diesel astras, skoda yeti's etc

I'll be booking it this week so just thought I'd drop it on here to see if anyone else fancied it.

One thing to note, there are noise restrictions so if you have a loud exhaust I'd get it measured (db wise) to check if you'll pass the 105db (static) and 92db (drive-by) tests.

  2. Well I passed the mod 1 at the second attempt on Thursday despite riding generally worse for the duration of the test.

Just mod 2 to go now before I can go and test ride a few bikes and finally make up my mind what to get!

Congrats! Any tips for the mod 1? I've got mine in a few weeks :)

  3. That's true but you might grab a bargain over winter if someone's desperate to sell! Just a thought.

I've been looking at the new KTM RC390 which is out next month so hopefully early next year there might be one or two up for sale second hand. I'd jump straight on a 600cc but I can't get insured on one, and a 400 is cheaper than a 125.

  4. Booked a 4 day DAS course starting in 4 weeks time. Hopefully it all goes smoothly! Don't think I'll be buying a bike until early next year though as I can't see me using it in November/December/January when it's silly cold outside!

  5. How are the Pagids on the road? I went with Ferodo's as I couldn't live with squeaky brakes but I'm booked in for 2 track days in August so I'm going to have to take it easy on the Ferodo's. I was tempted to buy some RS29's to swap myself for each track day.
