  1. I like your new bike as well - I see you have the stabilisers off now
  2. Looking good matey Like the boot as well nice improvement with that
  3. Looks like you got a good finish on that mate
  4. Afternoon Well after spending the day on Papa's car yesterday we rolled Suzi back in and jacked her up last night ready for some more fun with the zorst. So back at it today - Started the passenger side down pipe - didn't take as long as the drivers side for some reason Drivers side down pipe fitted Then Buster arrived (after his lie in ) and started fitting the original back on Wasso joined him - not sure what they were doing down there for so long Then Buster wanted to try his hand at welding again (only his second attempt) Not bad just needs practice Getting better So after Buster had finished we finished the drivers side It was mid to late afternoon by then and Wasso got a text (we think from his better half) saying something like "Have you finished that B********* car yet???? " So he headed off home and Buster and I prep'd the Radical for Castle Combe tomorrow Zed Shed Crew Signing off for another day
  5. This one is custom Not finished yet of course Cost - probably astronomical by the time we finish
  6. This is exactly why I needed a lie down - lack of energy from not taking in all that sugar Still love doughnuts Mmmmmmmmm Speaking of sugary sweet treats I think the food police were about and I believe some incriminating photo graphic evidence is about Great day thought good to see you again matey - see you again Sunday Also Mr G - I may not have mentioned it at all today but I have a 370
  7. Don't be silly now Wasso - I'll pick up some CF wrap while I'm out today but we really don't need Diamonds!!
  8. This is why you haven't seen me for a while, although I'm close today on my way to Hampshire Kettle is always on if you get bored
  9. Just had a catch up - Looking good mate Love the back plate
  10. OK Put a lot of resistors in AFAIK the seat belt switch is a straight bypass or if you have the clips still in just get one of the ends from eBay or cut the ends of your old belts and plug em in.
  11. Camera is already charged - if it rains I'll just drive underneath you Fingers crossed for a dry day though so I can get the slicks on and chase down that supercharged monster of yours
  12. Check with your insurance company some don't like them and put the price up some insist on an engineers report so worth checking. Resale will be lower and less potential buyers (some people won't touch them) but you pay less when you buy. Other than that make sure you check it over even more than you would any car you buy and maybe get an AA type inspection done. Other than that I have owned a few Cat C And Cat D's - never had any more or less problems than non Cat cars - Good Luck
  13. Looking Awesome and I'm not usually a fan of white but that looks very Great job
  14. Evening all As per Wasso's post above - we need down pipes No1 - make it so ........................... Zed rolls in and goes up Spark protection in place Welding table ready Before I start on that, I collected this today - The new custom made power steering pipe - cracking job Ok here we go It's a sharp angle but as it reverses so quick I don't think it will give to much restriction and I'm using 2.5" pipe Next bend I lost count of the bends At this point my chop saw went bang so that's going to slow progress!! So I welded what I had done very hard to photo but it does fit The flange got finished just before I ran out of gas in the welder Off to the shops tomorrow to get some Gas - going to have to look into a new saw as well Zed Shed Signing off ..........................
  15. So after the lack of success we have had with the Zorst and the fact that we can get the stock headers in we just need to get from them to the back - so I thought I'd see what I could do Bit of ply A manifold Soon had a flange made Don't worry about it being wood - he will only notice when he starts the car - and that won't be any time soon OK OK Used the template to make these - I will soon be welding them onto this 2.5" (64mm) pipe I picked up today. Then I just have to bend/weld/beat/twist/swear/curse and get them to come out at the bottom of the Zed in other news - I dropped the power steering pipe off with the lads down at Thread and Pipe to have a custom high pressure hose made up from the LS PS pump to the OEM 350 rack - that should be ready for collection tomorrow Got some oil and fuel rated hose ready for the low pressure side and picked up some rad hose for the heater matrix connections (I love shopping when its not my money ) Other than that we test fitted the Emerald loom which seems to be a good start, this will hopefully be going up to them to be modified for this later edition engine but first I needed to know what I had so I can work out what I need. Starting here pulled it off the car and started to trace the wires but ............. O yes the good old changing colour wire routine No worries just strip the lot ended up looking like this But at least I know where every pin on the ECU starts and finishes - just need to trace and label the Aux and the relays now That's all for now Zed Shed Signing Off

    My new girl

Nice one Good to see you back in a Zed
  17. Again, you won't know until the engines plugged in. - I.e. Bradders could just sell his like the guy is doing in Ireland and you wouldn't know unless you stripped it down. Last time I stripped an engine that had come out of a Zed it had holes in the side of the block and a bent rod - it did come out of Grundy's Zed though What Grundy has said is right though seeing it won't prove anything if I take Bradders engine out you won't know it was smoking until you bolt it back in and turn the key. As Colin has said be careful but I have seen a few engines at that sort of price from private sellers, although that one is very low mileage
  18. Who said we were Good??? That's slander that is If the engine has 23K I'd go for that - OK it's a bit of a risk but sounds like a cheap engine to me - best I have managed is £750 for a 45K motor Of course you then need the motor changed - not hard if you know what you are doing and have the tools / space to do it. Me and Bob can do a complete swap in a day the big problem for us offering help at the moment is timescales - I have Wasso's motor in at the moment, a suspension change this weekend (another member) a steering rack and 2 banana arms to do on yet another members and I think 2 more owners waiting for slots to learn how to do P2/3 services. Add to that a Mini still under a tarp in the front garden, a new garage build - need more space to help you lot out and the Radical coming in this winter we are what you might call busy If you want it done end of the summer get the engine bought and drop me a PM we can probably help out given enough time Keyser and The Zed Shed Crew
