:tumbleweed: Well another step in the saga - the PO came out and had a look, took some pictures discussed all aspects and went away happy and "could see no problems" The Parish Consultation on the other hand has objected Hopefully after a day of phone calls they are now withdrawing the objection, it seems they think we want to move into the garage ???? However after the PO confirmed that we had already agreed that should a covenant stopping residential occupation be needed for the application we did not mind at all - why would we it's a garage Anyway it appears that "if" we agree that it can't be used for residential and is only used as a garage they will withdraw the objection This hopefully means we are back on track for a decision by the 22nd of this month - fingers crossed. Good thing as the builders are booked to start moving the kitchen end of next week and the demolition is due to start a few weeks later. I will keep you all informed The New Zed Shed Will Live - (hopefully)

Andy James 2015 sprint/hill climb/track day season
Keyser replied to andy james's topic in Motorsport & Track Days
+1 to that mate Mrs Keyser said you wanted to know what you sounded like on track so she took a quick vid on the iphone for you, Me first but masked by the BMW you are at about 30 seconds and Jetpilot at 55 seconds in. -
And if you don't have a DA? Can this be done by hand? Yes but it takes a lot longer - sanding block - available from any DIY store - not the cheap plastic ones they are to hard - failing that a small bit of wood and fold the sandpaper in half wrap it round and away you go - small circles is best otherwise you rub grooves, keep the paper wet and rinse the surface a lot. Good luck

Just got the Brembos to sort now, I may have rescued one today Good man stick at it - 3rd time lucky -
As some of you know I got towed in on the last run of the day at Castle Combe on Monday. Had a look at the damage tonight to see how much it was going to cost to repair, The answer - Naff all Stripped and checked the drive shafts - all good Checked the primary drive - all good ??? But the pickup from the primary is not turning the rear cog - so looked closer and noticed the reverse selector cable was at an angle - further investigation showed that the lever that pulls said cable, thereby engaging reverse was loose and had stuck at a slight angle so you could not quite get reverse and no chance of going forwards. The cable retaing nuts were loose in the car (it is hidden under the seat) Loosened the cable retaining nuts, squared the cable up tightened it all back up were it should be and drive is restored Ready for the next track day now :

Are your touring wheels 17" and the rear 18" ??? Just curious - I know the TC can get upset with wrong size wheels but this possible ABS "judder"/activation has been mentioned a few times now.
-
Sounds dodgy, Not really sure what to suggest - someone had something similar(ish) a while ago but on a 370 as I recall. Suggestions were - try driving with TC off - pull the fuse on the ABS to see if that is faulty also check for damage to any of the speed sensors. Can't be more helpful than that sorry.

Andy James 2015 sprint/hill climb/track day season

Awesome day out with the boys (and girl) Harryjax, Jetpilot and Andy James - we had great fun. We answered the long debated question of SC 350z Andy's beast V Radical He has me on straight line speed especially after about 80mph I can't pass him on track as I I loose the corner speed advantage out of the bends and again his power on the straights is awesome. BUT - If I get in front then ..... OK First time it was his tyres went off so he had to come in Second time it was "I got caught in traffic" Third time he came clean he can't catch me Jetpilot was putting in some cracking laps and despite having an NA Zed was doing a great job - except for the wheel wobble - I think a local tyre fitter is about to get strung up Harryjax popped his cherry in a mates car and seemed to be having a great day out. Mrs Keyer had her first go on a race track and her first time driving the Radical - she got it up to 104mph over Avon Rise - not bad for a first attempt On the last session of the day I was desperately trying to lap Andy (I doubt it would happen but gotta try) The attempt was looking good until I changed down coming into Quarries and had no engine braking - in fact I had no gears Suspect a broken drive shaft but won't know for sure until I strip it down and have a look - just hope it isn't the quaife diff as they are £5k a time O and when I blew her up they red flagged the session and I got towed in - how embarrassing Videos as soon as I get a chance to sort them out for you As I said - GREAT DAY OUT Thanks all -

Will let you know on that - the thin ones were actually cut from the OEM CATs then cut out a bit to allow for the 2.5" pipe. It is sort of a temporary thing at the moment though - it may all change later - it may not As I say will let you know Thanks
