  1. Well the blown 15Amp was a good start - shame it didn't solve the problem Heard about the test for the IPDM but never tried it also heard mixed results, I know Harryjax (or his son) had a similar fail it turned out to be a sticky relay that kept blowing fuses I think. Back to you, more fuses in the box in front of the battery and behind the battery plus more in the drivers foot-well on the right behind the little black cover (assumes RHD) Fans coming on as Torquen has said can be ECU fault but also if the dash is removed and the little white box behind the AC controls (ribbon cable) is out or not connected the internal fans will come on full blast with ignition on, not sure which fans you were referring to. I would suggest you carry on looking for blown fuses if possible remove the piggy back just for the test start if you need an IPDM or even an ECU I would suggest giving Zmanalex on here a shout but if you do need a new ECU you are going to have to look at Uprev or similar to get the NATS removed/disabled or get get keys etc recoded. Keep us informed of the progress, where are you based? Good luck
  2. Without a lot more info it's a bit hard to diagnose - did you fit any sort of aftermarket ECU? However my first thought is you have shorted something out and blown a fuse start with the big set in the positive connector from the battery and work back from there. Was the battery removed during the installation? You can just fry the ECU if your not careful bit more info and myself and a few other members will do our best to help I'm sure. And Welcome to Forum
  3. ^^ Thanks for that trip down memory lane
  4. I wish I hadn't of commented now So it was too disturbing then Just think how I felt
  5. Replace plenum, replace engine as residue sand rips the piston rings apart Just saying EDIT: Block holes fill with oil, pour oil into jug get calculator out, replace plenum, car smokes for next 10 miles
  6. Try this https://video-lhr3-1...c51&oe=55C9F023 http://video-lhr3-1....c51&oe=55C9F023
  7. This keeps getting better - great write up like the flashing fog light and of course I love the Green Brembos
  8. Try jamming the pedal down - honestly it does work Is it a must? I have someone coming to detail the car tomorrow so id rather not leave a big wedge in the way Just saying it helps See how it goes tomorrow. OMG - The replies I could write to that Grundy
  9. Try jamming the pedal down - honestly it does work
  10. You can get fluid past the air lock - so it will pour fluid but not enough pressure - also you can have just air in the cylinder itself. The pin looks OK in the picture if that helps
  11. Probably not bleeding it properly they can be a PITA. Power bleeders do not work well on them and if all the fluid ran out during the change they can be stubborn to get going again. Two tips for you to try - 1. Using the traditional one in the car one underneath use a small pry bar or large screwdriver to hold the clutch lever forwards loosen the bleed nipple get your mate to slowly press the clutch tighten the nipple get him to release the clutch (usually need a bit of wire under the pedal to pull it up) Repeat a good few times DO NOT LET THE FLUID RUN OUT IN THE RESERVOIR! Try the clutch again. 2. If you have some pressure in the pedal wedge the pedal hard down (bit of wood and electric seats help here) leave over night - try bleeding again in the morning and see if it improves. Good Luck
  12. O yes I forgot we did make a bit of a mess - The old hedge needs to be shipped away You may also note the 3 ton digger I drafted in to make the root removal and digging the soil back (right hand side where the sleepers are now) Quite surprising the damage you can do to a hedge row in 3 hours with a chainsaw, a dump-truck and a 3 ton digger
  13. Well the paper work is still going through the red tape procedure and we are waiting on a camera survey on Tuesday so in the meantime I thought I'd show you what else is going on - The Flashing Blade AKA Andy James and his companion Tim The Hat have finished the new retaining wall - so we added some more fencing - That's that side done We then looked at the other side with a rather sorry looking laurel hedge and decided it was just not good enough, the new dump truck driver was drafted in but seemed to be asleep on the job But we got the site cleared and on Friday nigh we started on the other side of the garden - Friday night 4pm Little bit of work on a rather hot Saturday and a solid morning on Sunday we now have - Yes we ran out of board - only because we had to repair the corner of the old fence though so with nothing to do after lunch on Sunday we invited the neighbors over for an impromptu BBQ More soon ( I HOPE ) Keyser and the Zed Shed Crew
  14. Looking very nice Will watch with interest

  20. On this advice alone my wife purchased 2 Clematis plants today (east facing wall just so you know) I will let you know how they do Gotta luv this forum not only am I writing a build thread on a garage instead of a car (let alone a Zed) I'm even getting gardening advice - spot on Just so you all know the water board has been paid, video survey next week, structural engineer has produced a plan (exact calcs to be done if the design is acceptable) we are also in talks with the water board "Sewer Protection Officer" despite the title (not even sure if it his official title) he seems spot on and he will give us a heads up on our plan all being well we should get confirmation (or denial ) on or around the 21st so a 3 week delay, we are going to rip out another hedge line while we wait and I have a few jobs to finish in the house, Andy and Tim (the builders) have finished the retaining wall and are going to occupy themselves on a few little jobs they have outstanding for other clients while we try and get everything back on track. I'll get some pics of progress and the other hedge removal later this week or at the weekend. Be good, take care and above all HAVE FUN!
  21. Luving the fabrications you do mate - great work, great skills mate
