Yes I'm afraid it is my turn to post one of these "practicality had to come first" threads
So it was with a heavy heart I traded my baby in today for something a little more practical, Unlike most however the number of seats was not actually the issue, mine was space and transporting things around.
Now don't get me wrong I have loved owning her and I am sure I will miss all that power from time to time but at least the new "practical" transport has a few things going for her
Of course a lot of you know me so when I say practical I usually like to do practical with a touch of something a bit different -
So the first thing to do when looking for something practical with space and seats are not an issue is to look at vans, While browsing the interweb I found a company that built a van that they at least claim holds the lap record for a commercial vehicle at the Nurburgring
I know what your thinking - I went and bought it .....
No No No No Not me Never I'm not that mad O no - I went one better than that I bought the van they built to beat the record
Allow me if you will to introduce my new "Practical" transport affectionately known as the "Race Van" or The Nurburgring Spec Ford Transit Custom -
Now apart from all the usual refinements of a new (2014) Transit Custom
she has a few other little modifications
Custom Leather seats
Carbon Fiber detailing
Upgraded ICE
Full acoustic lining, colour coordinated of course
Custom Matte Black Paint with Focus green highlights
Sorry about the pics only had my phone
She also has a custom induction system and a custom Miltek zorst to name but a few of her qualities
So how does she go?
Like a stabbed rat (ask Buster)
So there we have it my new "practical" transport even have a pic of the exchange - so sad but then so happy -
What??
You thought I meant I traded in the 370??? Shame on you
