Along Only guys running NOS on here are Selah83 in my old Zed and NeilP (if he still has it in) Wasso had an install a while ago can't think of anyone else at the moment. First question is how are you going to map it? After that Wizards Of NOS can supply everything you need and either Mark at Abbey or Jez at Horsham can both install and map it, I installed my own and had it mapped by AME on a Haltech ECU any questions fire away (pun intended )

Another case of Zeditis then Looks good though

Hello all - I'm a newbie, again!

back then -
Well if you ended up in a bus garage at least you could get home
-
Many Happy Returns mate Sorry I was a day late
-
Ha - That is awesome and that's just the pulley system Nice to see the Bonnet in place as well, it looks amazing mate. Keep up the good work, it will be winter all to soon and you are all set for long evenings of fun bolting bits back on
-
Be honest Andy, you may be on holiday but really you wanted to make sand castles with us didn't you
-
Good evening one and all So today we decided to start on the Hot Tub - its not actually a Hot Tub but it is sort of a tub and we got hot and sweaty making it!! This is another over-engineered piece it is also the last bit of the foundations This is the "suspended" centre section of the garage basically another huge reinforced section that is suspended between the 2 long ground beams it creates a large area in the middle of the main garage that can take a load rating of at least 3 tons (car and small van rating) basically this is the bit that actually crosses over the sewer so has to be up to the job the rest of the garage, the workshop, is just behind the line but so close it had to be reinforced. So with the assistance of Mrs K and Buster we started work - We dug a big hole and filled the bottom with sand that took us until lunch time and it was hard work As all work and no play makes Buster a sad boy we took the opportunity to play in the new sandpit In just a few minutes we had a miniature Zed Shed 2 After playtime we put some DPC and concrete in the hole I can't walk on water but wet cement I'll have a go all done ready for the re-bar tomorrow To finish up the day we put some ducts in Removed the shuttering and cleaned and leveled the site More soon Keyser

.... and more concrete (and probably more steel ?) O yes plenty more of both
-
So now we have the steel in the ground time for some concrete well I say some I mean a lot, no more than that So we need to think a bit bigger than wheel barrows here!! Just for confirmation - Spacers in Now back to the concrete Here it comes We made it The biggest lorry we could find he had to go back and fill up though! Start Pumping All full Only took 15 cubic meters :scare: Let that go hard for a few days - bit more foundation work this weekend, let that all go hard and then we can start on the floor Keyser

NOS - I Need NOS man! I believe the solution's is 2 of the big bottles Failing that an Uprev remap will also remove the 112mph limiter or the 150mph limiter on a UK car
-
Yer and we all know how that goes
-
What for a single story garage???
-
congrats Bet ya haven't stopped smiling yet

New guy with a supra and a zed...kind off

along Couple of nice motors there mate -
Yes - we now have 50mm spacer blocks and shuttering round them and continuity bars strapped in and dowels to existing conventional footings, the boys were even complimented by the BI (building inspector) on how clean the bottom of the trench was after being swept to remove any lose dirt that had fallen in - pictures available if required, and we can even supply a sample of the ground material at the base of the footings if you like (the engineer left one of his sample bags behind ) No corners cut on this job but I think there will be a new entry in the dictionary soon - Money Pit - See Keysers back garden a large hole with thousands of pounds being poured in, quite literally!
-
Cool - Grew up just down the road from you a bit outside Carmarthen, Apprenticed as a mechanic in Ammanford many, many years ago
-
Mate we are digging out underneath when the floor has gone hard - parking for 2 more cars, nuclear bunker and easy access to mains drainage (other than that technically you are correct this is a well protected pipe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) I think you may be onto something - it is most likely that to save time the engineer simply took a bunker design and flipped it, relabeled it "Garage" and charged me for the plans!!!

along Do we have a Jack in our midst?
-
Bit more progress today Andy, Tim and I nearly broke our backs bringing in the re-bar I think the engineer has designed this garage to withstand earthquakes, either that or he thinks we are building it across the San Andreas fault to hold it together!!!!!! So the steel for the ground beams (this is just the first level of reinforcing! Check out the 25mm bars Then we have this lot That last pic is the steel for the main garage floor engineered to take 3 tons the requirement for small cars and vans, the idea is this steel will be suspended between the ground beams in the centre of the main garage which just happens to be directly over the sewer (could not have been in a worse place!) Of course this will all then be topped with a 250mm yes 10" concrete floor that will also have re-bar mesh with all stress points having 2 layers of mesh. On the plus side should we have a nuclear strike, earthquake or tectonic plate movement I will be able to happily continue work in my garage First 10 cubic meters of concrete (that's just to cover the foundations) being poured tomorrow. More over engineering with pictures to follow soon Keyser
