  7. I posted that a little tongue in cheek, they are the ones I'm going for in the garage the one you linked to has the problem that you cant get a gearbox out easily as they are solid in the middle though. I have looked at a lot and there are pros and cons to them all.
  8. Curing before what? It will be 2 months before I move in (handy as it needs 2 months before painting) but you don't have to wait 30 days to build the walls or the roof
  9. Only the foundations - the garage is quite small really - honest
  10. What a day we had The bank balance took a hiding but 41.5 Cubic meters of concrete about 70 tons went in today and it looked something like this - New bit of drive The garage floor Then an afternoon polishing 105 Sq Meters that's it for a week while we let it all dry so more next week Keyser and the Zed Shed Crew

  12. Anyone heard of Legoland? Well we have built Re-Bar World That is layer 1 and when the concrete gets to 200mm thick we lay this lot then another 50mm of concrete giving 2 layers of re-bar mesh and 250mm (10") of C35 concrete !!! OMG yes you could stand a tank on this floor!!! Me and Andy had a killer day today laying that lot in the back garden and tomorrow we are going for a continuous pour of 105 square meters with an additional 36 square meter pour for the entrance, That's an estimated 30 cubic meters of concrete so the pump is back on site at 7:30AM and the we have 3 x 17 ton trucks booked to keep the pump fed 1st one empty's then goes for a refill while the other 2 feed the pump - 2nd one may have to refill as well Pics to follow if anyone is left standing after tomorrow Then the really hard bit - Paying the bill Friday - No sack Friday we are not doing anything on Friday Keyser and the Zed Shed Crew.

  14. Yer they stop you - they employ the tactic where they slow down the build so much that by the time you have built your garage you are passed retirement
  15. No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, well maybe but No at the moment I already have to many cars, the 370 is supercharged and I just got the new engine and turbo for the Radical not to mention I have 2 other projects to finish and possibly another with Buster!!!
  16. Sometimes I can't help myself A friend of mine and fellow forum member who had a lovely completely stock (bar the stubby and Zed Shed Sticker ) low mileage 350z contacted me a few days ago, he hasn't driven it in months and due to some problems with his knees his days of driving a manual are over Anyway long story short - end of month insurance expires, tax is up, double knee op pending, family stuff needing his attention etc etc Asked if I would be interested at a very sensible price so of course I said yes Original plan was for Mrs K to have it but she has said no already This is because we only have her car as a 4 seater and (the real reason) it's not a roadster!! Anyway it's mine at least until I decide what to do with it Only one bad pic as it was dark by the time I got home, FSH until a year ago since then maintained and serviced by the Zed Shed 67K drives and runs spot on remarkable condition for the age not even many stone chips and kept in a carpeted garage by the former owner. More to come at some point maybe
