  1. I don't name my cars - my family names them for me 350 was "The Bitch" 370 is "Hissing Sid" The van came ready named "The Race Van" I named my garage as well but like ilogikal I'm also not a 12 year old girl (wasn't sure if that was relevant but he pointed it out so I thought I would as well, just in case )
  2. Here they are (The red bits with black rubber covers) and to prove you don't need the W brace for the tank to stay up p
  3. The fuel tank is held up by 2 metal straps that run front to rear, the W brace does not touch or support the fuel tank in any way. In case that helps
  4. Local Parish Council already had me for that we have a "non Residential use" clause in the planning - not that it matters the immigrants will never get in past all the cars and engines Exterior will be rendered and painted to match the bungalow, but that will probably have to wait until spring to be finished
  5. Few days on the block work and now we are starting to get the feeling it's a garage not just a hole in the ground Just for ioneabee - Progress - Darn reused doors took me 2 hours to get it to open and close properly The inside More this week Keyser and The Zed Shed Crew
  6. I had the Kaaz, on my 350 - awesome bit of kit but it is harsh and quite noisy for slow driving round town but on track it is the dogs dodars
  7. Well we had the doors from the house refurb - the patio doors are for the "summer house" or Zed Shed waiting room as Buster has named it Waiting room? Is that for Wasso!!? PMSL Best put a bed in there if it's for Wasso ROFL So Harsh Mr G - But I liked it

  9. Full blown cavity wall with insulation, I'll get some pics of the inside tomorrow - Just for you
  10. As promised we are back on the build, I recon the Egyptians could throw up one of them pyramids in less time - Mind you they didn't have Wessex Water to contend with I can just see the BI asking the pharaoh to hold on while they check the Nile drainage plan they would soon have him sacrificed to the gods Anyway Andy was back on site today and we already have doors :yahoo: Now he just needs to catch up with the walls I know it's not quite conventional but we are reusing doors and windows from the house refurb and they are already glazed so we thought we would just build them in as we go Just bumped out 3 packs of concrete blocks so Andy has plenty to get on with in the morning. The best bit is we are actually building above ground level now Keyser and The Zed Shed Crew
  11. Have to give a nod to brillo as what he says is true and the bigger BMW would be closer to the weight of the Zed
  12. I think it's a great idea, driver training is also a great idea but after you have a lesson you can put it into practice in the track pig and test your limits with less worries about what happens when you find them. A stock MX5 is also a good car for what you want as you say not the power or speed of the Zed but well balanced and great to learn in - I've had some great fun in an MX5 on track, if you can afford it do it mate, I don't think you will be disappointed As above speak to Ekona or look up his thread he did a lot of work on his but you don't have to go that far
