  1. Ahh but it was free (unless you were offering to supply the sound block as a late crimbo pressie?) and it's better than air, it is also 3mm thicker than the wall studs which gives the walls a very nice solid feel to them after you squeeze it together with the ply and besides it's a better option than throwing it in the skip
  2. Easiest way is to get me and Buster to sit in the boot that will lower your Zed for you (especially after all the Christmas dinner Buster ate)
  3. Evening all Happy Christmas everyone Sorry for the gap in the updates but I only got back from Rome on Christmas eve, I went over to check out the engineering on the Colosseum, get some tips for the Z Shed II Well the roof is virtually finished, all the tiles are on as well as the ridge tiles etc they just need a couple of days to do the cement in the valleys In the interval we have been busy on other bits inside new garage door installed More boarding out done Buster in da shed First partition going up for the summer house / waiting room / smoking shed Some old celotex for the sound proofing as much as the insulation value (skip a few days) tonight we are here - Main garage partition finished that leads into the engineering workshop (AKA living room) complete with heater on the other side of that is the store room and finally the powder coat / spray booth (hard to photo) More soon ..........................
  4. Well it is to me anyway My best-est mate Buster spent a lot of time and effort on this and the whole Zed Shed Crew all chipped in to sort me out So here it is ready for the new and improved Zed Shed II a new sign .............. and it's GREEN I luv it thanks guys
  5. Don't forget my boot lid and spoiler just behind the Ginger Ninja
  6. Thanks everyone for the kind Birthday wishes Unfortunately celebrations are somewhat curtailed this year due to the sad passing of my father yesterday. I won't dwell on his death I shall celebrate his life and raise a glass to him tonight. RIP Dad In sorrow we must go, but not in despair. Behold! we are not bound for ever to the circles of the world, and beyond them is more than memory. - J.R.R. Tolkien
  7. Nice toy tool That's great mate, be interested to see you convert it to CNC and what you make with it
  8. Tbh I keep popping my head out the window to look at it. Such a beautiful looking car. I never thought when I first seen an r8 I'd ever get to drive one let alone own one lol. Hard work pays off. Misses gave me the unrealistic ultimatum the other night. She said "if you had to choose between me or that bloody car who would you choose?" I genuinely paused and had to think. Went down like a tramp on chips. she wasn't best pleased lol Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk It wasn't the pause that got her it's when you said "the car, definitely the car" Speaking of "The car" very nice mate came close to buying one myself a year or so back Keep us updated
  9. Kiiiiiiiiiiiim!!!! I don't need to trade in my Mrs, she isn't trying to get me to sell my Zed for practical transport and I just took over half the garden for a new man cave :D :D
  10. Good Evening Just a quick update, I fitted the loft hatch, The electric feed and fuse box is in with just 1 socket to keep me going until the fit out is finished, no more extension leads from the house Then Charlie sent over one of his umpa lumpas to help out, Looks very similar to Mrs K but it's can't be as she is scared of heights!!!! I mean standing on a chair freaks her out It could be the bang on the head that got her up there or she just wants the Zed Shed finished and me out of the house Any way she got on with the painting and we are now here - More soon ............................. Keyser and the Zed Shed Crew
  11. Nice work mate "the wrench time" is certainly going in
  12. Just be glad you didn't have me as a passenger That sucks matey but we all will do this to ourselves
  13. They should have spent £50,025.00 on it and put the pillar pod on the right side
  14. Nice to see the bits coming along How you doing for the deadline???
  15. A very good evening to one and all Quick update to keep you up to speed before I pop out for the rest of the night, so last Wednesday the scaffolding went up and they started to put the felt and battens on so I took Thursday and Friday of work and we (Andy and I) started on the inside 100mm of celotex and a 9mm ply covering by Friday night the roofers were done until the tiles arrive next Thursday but at least I am in the dry now Andy stayed on late so we could get the main roof finished A bitter sweet end as it's his last day on the build He has done an absolutely amazing job and if you want some building work done he is your man He will be back in the spring to lay the patio though so not all bad and I'm sure he and his Zed won't be strangers to the new Zed Shed II Saturday Buster, Mrs K and myself got on with the lower ceiling and got it finished Sunday saw Mrs K and I back at it (Oh Err) Loft insulated and boarded out Shuttering removed from the ramp pits (at last) and to finish we put up the panel for the electric distribution board and started on the wall lining. Except for Mrs K splitting her head open on a joist it was a very productive weekend. More soon Keyser and the Zed Shed Crew.
