  1. As he said ^^^^ Cost is the big thing, I'm hoping to get into a bit of hill climb as it seems to be a lot cheaper I'd love to race but don't think I can fund it at the moment.
  2. That figures ........ What is the longest you have owned a car Ian????
  3. In good shape? Was working when it came off - I may have another one after the weekend as well - will let you know - drop me a pm if you like. I'm in Bournemouth if that helps??
  4. Sorry Anders I have nothing Vortech left
  5. I think I have one laying around
  6. Bring that thread back Don't think I have anything left mate all went with the car or the other kit I sold sorry mate.
  7. As to what to do - only have 2 choices - New engine or a rebuild that's going to cost around £1.5 to £2K or Sell the car as is with engine fail - going to get really stung on the price though as anyone buying is either looking at scrapping it or putting a new engine in so will deduct that cost from the value. Good Luck
  8. I have to agree with the above and if you have had an oil light on and you have a knock its a big rebuild whatever has gone Feel for ya mate
  9. OMG you bought that Zed!!!!!!! That is 2 (more like 3) Zeds welded together in a cut n shut job!!!!!!!!!! I know that car and I know Neil he looked after that Zed well, low mileage as well (bit of a garage queen ) Nice purchase Kyle P.S it took him ages to get those seats sorted to fit and you may change them that made me
  10. That just sux - sorry to hear this mate.
  11. It's gonna be the alignment only other thing I would suggest is checking the drop links I have seen them break on lowered cars and that effectively disconnects the ARB - but other than physical damage the first stop is a Hunter system
  12. Great minds Humpy you just clicked first
  13. Nice work again mate Hope all goes well with the fire up
  14. My input is good and bad, I have seen the behavior you refer to in 2 different 350z's that is the overheating and the cold air in the cabin when the engine is hot and heater set to hot. on 1 it was an air lock and it was a real PITA to get it out we ended up lifting the front of the car on ramps adding a coke bottle with the bottom cut out to the rad filler to increase height and act as a funnel/reservoir (you must block the overflow pipe and make sure the bottle is sealed to the rad) then running the engine until hot - few bubbles let it cool - same again after about a days work and numerous repeats of that it eventually gave up a big bubble of air - we refilled to correct levels and the problem never came back. Bad news on the other it was a blown head gasket we actually think that this was due to the previous garage reusing the gaskets after some work on the heads, we confirmed it with one of those type of kits as linked to above replaced the head gasket and all was well. As a site note we ran the 350 that had the blown gasket with no thermostat in for a while (trying to find the fault) the problem does not go away completely but it did reduce so although I hope its only an air lock I would definitely test for a blown head gasket. Hope it helps K
  15. Bit like saying why climb Everest - I mean all you are is tired oxygen starved and a bit higher that when you were at the bottom, not to mention the likelihood of dying before you get to the back down, people still do it though! All that effort could be digging fields in 3rd world countries for the starving and this pretty much applies to all things fun. I say if that's what he wants to do good on him I think it's impressive I'm also impressed by any one that can get to the top of Everest but I don't intend to do either O and Dan there is no such thing as a "zero maintenance" mechanical device low maint but not Zero - just saying.
