I keep getting asked what happened to my Z, it's only because Ian's is outside at the moment with no engine or front bumper I do still own a Zed I forget what it looks like though as it is tucked away in the old Zed Shed covered in dust

Only thing I can suggest other than tyres / road conditions is steering angle sensor if it's faulty damaged or out of line it does some wired things to the ABS I know cause I put mine on out of line when I rebuilt her may be worth getting the diagnostics on that, I can read the settings on my laptop but I don't know where your based. Hope it helps

That sounds like the syncro has gone, the usually go on 5th first. On an 04 you have the earlier box and they are know for it usually won't go into first until warm, clutch is not really adjustable very much but you can change the biting point a small amount, the grinding noise sounds like it will be the thrust bearing or a dry shaft, if your lucky it could be either a slave cylinder or a worn clutch if your unlucky its the syncros and that's either a new box - get a CD009 from a 2006 onward - or a gearbox rebuild with uprated syncros Well get the dealer to sort it for you

That is a JDM one in the link they have the extra pipe, I may have a UK one in the back of the store will have a look later EDIT: AFAIK the JDM will fit on the UK no issues

The screens are probably all made in the same place anyway, I'd be happy with whatever autoglass would usually use and let the insurance pay for it.

How did you activate it? Was it just press and hold unlock on the remote for down?

The engine has been out and in since then and is about to come out again Lots of problems to address doing an engine swap like this - trust me I speak from experience

Looks like the speaker wires have been replaced to me - not that I have played with the radios in a Zed for a few years. Buster can prolly confirm if I am right or not.

Just go to any decent plumbing suppliers and ask for 3/4" plastic pipe (used for overflows) they will have the joins and inserts listed in the link you posted, they will also have the glue usually just says "plastic cement" on the side - if you are using it you have to be quick as it dries fast and make sure you get the part lined up quick as you won't move it again after a few seconds. the rubber joint should also be off the shelf but any bit of pipe (i would us silicon) will do and jubilee clips are easy to come by. Looks quite good though have fun making it
