Andy will post up prices and how to pay when he has an idea on numbers etc, stand pass is usually supplied by the forum and you have your name on the list for one, You will need an entry ticket sometimes you need one per person sometimes one per car I think last year was less than £20 for 2 in a Zed - may be wrong but it usually works out around about that. The venue is great was cold last year but lots of tarmac roads to walk on with lots of things going on as well as the club stands - food of course like all these events is pricey but most of us have a boot full of snacks Anything else just ask -

Don't worry mate all you need to do is show up at Japfest, normally we meet at a hotel or petrol station close by depending on if you are staying the night before or driving in on the day and from there we convoy in, If not drive to the gates and they are great at directing you to the correct stand, plenty of people have been before (although we just make it up as we go ) we will look after you -
Just stumbled onto this - Good luck with the project and keep us updated I will be following

Just for you mate More new parts have arrived - New CDL3 Dash and SLM Motec M84 ECU Now I need to mount the new ECU so I did a Google search for Motec ECU Mounts and found hundreds of pictures of M84's zip tied to bike frames several other ECU's zip tied to wiring looms etc I also found a few build projects where people have made there own mounts mainly 2 straps over the top with a foam lining. I only found 1 company that make a mount and they are in the US of A and its POA so I decided I would make my own. All you need is a small bit of scrap ally and I happen to know someone that had a little bit just lying around, so strapped that to the Mill and away I went - OK it wasn't that small Action shot montage ..................(mainly cause it takes so long to mill that much material out ) After only a few hours (3 evenings and nearly a whole day) I had these test fit Powder coat Inside has foam tape and then I added rubber feet to stop vibration Lightened the electrical system mounting plate and powder coated that Then we (Tim is doing a lot of the wiring) started putting the components together Also managed to make a new mount for the master kill switch as the new dash means it has to be moved that became - and a plate for the front They were powder coated tonight so I will get some pics of the finished part tomorrow More Soon Keyser and The Zed Shed Crew Note to Andybp - I asked Santa for a new camera so fingers crossed pics may improve in the new year

It's a Garret M12 and was recommended by Sean at BigCC on the grounds he has about 10 Busa's in his garage at the moment being turbo'd and his own one makes 1000 HP I told him what I wanted and what it was for and he picked the Turbo, I left it to his judgment to be honest he seems to know his stuff - The aim was for virtually no lag and 350-400HP at the wheels (that's over 500BHP per Ton) he recons it will easily make 380 We are adding in a new ECU and boost controller to put all this power down in an almost controlled way Should be pretty quick down the straights if we can make it all work EDIT: Buster dropped in tonight and said "The turbo is bigger than the engine!"

So The next bit is one of those - I wish I hadn't done that / how to engineer yourself into a corner and then back out again So this is the new High Performance (up-rated) output shaft from the new and improved engine That shaft has the same spline setup as a Honda Blackbird (and a load of other bikes) it is a lot bigger than the original Hayabusa output shaft but the OEM shaft has been known to snap when you turbo the engine, it was therefore logical to go for the upgrade. Onto that shaft fits the drive coupler cup Now this had the splines for the Hayabusa output shaft, I contacted Quaife who make the diff for Radical and this was a known upgrade and they gave me the part number for the coupler that fits the larger output shaft but can't sell it to me as they are only made for Radical. I contact Radical who are aware of the part BUT only 2 cars were ever fitted with it from new as they then upgraded to the Gen 2 engine which has a larger output shaft, They have in fact only ever ordered 6 of them 2 went on the afore mentioned cars the other 4 have been sold over time to owners doing the same upgrade I have just done, They will order me one on the next order but that could be a while (still waiting for the phone call to confirm) and it takes 6-8 weeks from order to delivery So not to be outdone I found out about a process known as "Spark Erosion" which should allow the new spline pattern to be cut into my existing coupler, I tracked down a local company that specialise in spar erosion and sure enough they could do it Excellent I thought jobs a good un - BUT No Spot the deliberate mistake the splines line up perfectly the nut fits but you can't get a socket onto the nut to actually tighten it in place So all my upgrades were at a bit of a standstill, To the junk box - I found this (on the left) It is a 32mm nut from a Citroen C1 Drive shaft that has a knackered thread (we did the clutch on my daughters car recently) the nut on the right is the 36mm one that actually fits the output shaft that went on the lathe it now fits over the shaft I used the lathe to align the two nuts welded them together Then between the lathe and the mill I cleaned them up so they would be balanced, finished piece Fitted and there you have it 3 hours work to solve a problem I created myself by not checking the fitment before opting for the upgrade More Soon Keyser and The Zed Shed Crew.

I'll just leave that here for Richf My 370z is not as fast of the line or as quick round the corners as the 350 was but top speed is better (tested on the way to the ring ) and it's a nicer place to be. Loved them both the only thing I hate is lack of time to drive the 370

Meh bunch of non believers - you will be saying Santa is not real next!!! All looks perfectly acceptable and possible to me, I think your just jealous cause you can't do it many a time have I disabled a tank on the motorway saved the girl and been home in time for tea. My alternative reality is fun, come visit sometime -
Before we can finish the wiring the dash needs sorting out to handle the new layout and additions we are making one being one of theses The current dash looks like this The problem with a direct replacement of the digital dash is the current one feeds the input/output wire over the top of the carbon fiber dash, the new one has it's connector in the center, but there are 2 bars (part of the safety frame) behind the dash which will block the new cable. I also want the dash to be easier to see for the driver. The current one has very small LCD screens (it is over 12 years old) and points straight back not towards the driver so it is actually quite hard to read. Blue Peter time Out with the scissors tape and cardboard I made this After a few more attempts I came up with the right shape - now I just have to make it - a bit of head scratching and coffee or two and a smoke break later I came up with this ............. Mark out the start line with tape Add it's a bit of insulation foam left over from the Zed Shed build, double sided sticky taped to the original dash and shaped to the new design. Cut recess for digital dash and cover with masking tape Add tin foil and bake for 30 mins cover with fiberglass allow to dry and repeat allow to dry again and turn over cut out the back remove insulation clean it up add a new layer inside and out all dry quick sand and a test fit Getting there Need the dash so I can finish the install also need to relocate some switches and controls so more soon Keyser and the Zed Shed Crew

So glad I didn't play that vid you sent me on the phone - sounds awesome 2 things - 1 - The engine didn't jump out 2 - The exhaust held together Although I recon the zorst may have held together more due to your heat shield wrapping skills rather than my welding skills -
Go with the advice from SuperStu done a few of these that can be a PITA if you get to half pressure and it won't get better then do the piece of wood trick.
