Nice one mate The door connector is even better With the wings off you should have seen it already few more wires in there if you are completley removing the ICE. Did you consider re-routing the cables from the battery while you are doing all this? I looked into a wire tuck and you can run all the cables from the battery box out to the wing and under the wing liner on the passenger side and under the wipers and out to the wing on the drivers side - makes the engine bay look a lot nicer but does nothing for performance

Summer Holidays - Where are you all going?
Keyser replied to colesl4w's topic in Off Topic Discussion
OK OK wel jel so stop it you lot, Might manage a day of to go on track maybe if I'm lucky -
The only downside is I don't go to McD except when we stop there for an early breakfast before going on a meet so thats ......... twice in the last 8 months or so

Thats a lot of work mate - but you seem to be getting on well Keep it up and keep the pics coming

The wiring loom is combined so all the wires join together under the dash ICE and everything else they split out where required - HU, doors, dash etc it would need a full strip and seperating to just remove the ICE bits. WHat are you trying to do? That blue thing looks very after market to me maybe an old aftermarket phone connector?

along What engine mods have you done? -
So it did go with the car then - well done mate EDIT: He got the car from the guy that got the car from the guy I sold it too
-
I got it ready done from a member that was stripping his car back to stock to sell - I think he got it done somewhere in Southampton around the £100 mark - it’s a flock material stuck onto an original roof lining I can't remember if it went with the car or I sold it separately - sorry I can't help further

How much would you be happy to pay for all of this work?
Keyser replied to colesl4w's topic in 350Z General
Bargain mate Of couse if you had said it was cash in hand Dan would have estimated £225 and I would have gone for £275 - just saying -
How much would you be happy to pay for all of this work?
Keyser replied to colesl4w's topic in 350Z General
Thats a hard one - I would say between £450 - £1000 in labour the problem being the airbag light if that turns out to be the problematic conection under the passenger seat then it's a 5 minute fix if he is plugging in diagnostic equipment and testing everything it could take a day just to fine the problem so it's very hard to say how long it took and therfore how much it would cost/be worth. EDIT - Not far apart then Dan - but you got there first -
Well he must like you a little bit at least (so someone does)

Why rule out going over the water? You can do the ring and back comfortably leaving on a Friday night and get a couple of laps in, Spa would be even closer and we all know you like that track

Volume too loud after buster mod? (Amp gain adjustable?)
Keyser replied to MDMetal's topic in I.C.E & Electronics
The only thing I can say to that is - so is Buster's I drove his car the other day and 1 on the HU is LOUD I think it bursts ear drums at about 4 I mentioned it to Buster - he said I'm just too old (I'm younger than him!) I have no idea if you can reduce the gain unless your HU has the option to do so? -

A quick note on a technicality - as I found out when I had my 350 mapped, you can't remove the limiter but you can increase it, Jez set mine to 197 so I asked him to move it up, I think it goes in increments as he set it to 206 or 208 when he asked me why I wanted it changed I said "so I have a 200mph car!" don't think I ever got passed 165 ish by the speedo so that won't be that accurate either. Jez is prolly still laughing: lol:
-
It will do the clock on the Autobahn I'm supercharged and mapped with limiter removed, no idea what the real speed is though probably 170 ish maybe

I had one in my 350z

Onto the radiators and this has been a bit of a PITA to be honest, as you can see from the first pic the charge cooler is quiet high and the new bulge is already as high as we can/want to go so we can’t mount the radiators vertical and if we do the front one will block the rear, so after many attempts and allowing for all the other things we have to account for like a filling cap at the highest point, not wanting to put huge amounts of water high up and affect the centre of gravity badly etc we switched to horizontal mounting with ducts to point the air down (as seen above) The new mount looks like this – Added a support onto the zorst and added a support for the zorst back box as it can no longer be carried by the original pipework as that has all been removed in favour of a turbo setup. Mounts and AN10 fittings welded to the rads Powder coated the brackets and gave the rads a quick coat of paint just to clean them up Won’t know if it works until we get a shake down run in, hopefully we will have temperature monitoring setup so we can see how effective/ineffective they actually are. Fingers crossed ………. More soon ………………….

Just to get a few more updates on here to catch you all up – First thing was to have a test fit of the new “bulge†Yay it fits While it was all together I marked up the Radiator locations (they have changed I’ll get the pics for that in the next post) Onto the work bench First pipe to force extra air onto the first radiator Then a big scoop to get all the remaining air from the intake heading in the right direction, made a mold Matting Resin on and mold out Now the next bit was added after millions of £££££’s was spent on R&D and a load of wind tunnel testing – Not by me but by the F1 crowd for the new regs, apparently the air behind the bulge is dirty and the addition of a sharks fin helps to smooth this air out and provide cleaner air onto the rear spoiler and therefore increase efficiency and down force – even if that’s all bollox we thought it would look cool so we had to have one Something like this Lots of fun with fibre glass Starting to get it now Now to make it all look pretty and smooth…. More soon Keyser
