  1. A way off yet Bit more filling and loads of pinholes in the fibreglass, don't see them until you put the primer on. That's cause it aint Bob That's Tim
  2. It's been slow going the last few weeks It's not that we are not working hard, just loads of the same thing then more of that and more etc etc so I thought I would share the monotony. Lots of repairs - Then we had to sort the filler - It has been replaced at some point with a smaller one that was not a good fit - Copied That now fits Then the lights - they are old tired and broken, so instead of a delete we upgraded to LED the problem was I ordered 2 sizes but they sent 2 sets the same size They then refunded me 50% (after some argument I was happy to send them back) I then ordered another set of the big ones - yup got the small ones Grrrrrr, another argument later and they refunded those as well - they did not want to cover the shipping to have them sent back - that's what happens when you advertise as a UK company then ship from Japan Anyway I ended up with 3 sets and paid for 1 so I thought I'd use them anyway - why not?? Starting to get there now laid out for primer First coat on - got to do all the little marks and cracks that came through from the fibre glass next - O fun More soon
  3. Don't do it! Just my recommendation/opinion
  4. I did get asked once if I had any other policies on the car I was insuring, the answer was NO so nothing futher but that means it can be done or they wouldn't have asked. I also insured a car not belonging to me when I looked after it for an army buddy who was deployed for 6 months, not a problem and he kept his insurance running as far as I know.
  5. Thats coming along nicley mate As a non gamer (or retired gamer) what makes this worth the effort? Just curious I still think it's a great project and you know I love a good project
  6. Thats the second person in 3 days to report the "lack of experience" thing - of course you can't get it without insurance catch 22 so rediculous. EDIT Jay got there first
  7. I thought you wanted life insurance before she "had an accident" Must just be watching to many crime series on TV I'm with AF but married so no problem, not sure why they won't let you add a named driver, only thing to do is call around. Did they say why she could not be added? age time with full licence or something like that?
  8. Sorted Should work a treat for you
  9. Yup I ran Wasso's old kit, I upgraded it a bit with bottle heaters and we added a Haltech ECU link from the Wizards of NOS controller for ignition remap when "on NOS" this was on a supercharged 350z with a fully built engine with better cams. it was mapped on a 75 shot which gave about 50HP real world but the torque delivery was what made the difference for your application it would be great. Maybe go up to 100 or 150 shot the biggest problem is the stock ECU can not change maps on the fly so you either have to map it for NOS all the time (not so good when not using it) or get an ECU that can change maps This is my dyno with the NOS set to fire at 3300RPM It's the torque that makes it Soooo much fun
  10. Back from where? Who are you anyway? I've gone from an SC 350 to and SC 370 and we've been putting V8's in 350's apart from that the same as the last time you posted
  11. It's no harder than a DIY clutch change, Done a few now you get the kit whip the GB off swap the slave put it all back together and away you go. For reference if it's your first DIY job - (top of my head so may have missed something) Disconnect battery Jack the car up - enough height to get the gearbox out helps. (Ramps are good if you have access) Remove Zorst from Cats to rear axle Disconnect wiring loom that runs down side of GB and across under engine to starter etc Remove starter motor (make sur you disconnected the battery) Remove CPS Remove prop shaft (4 bolts at back) Mark prop so it goes back the same way) Remove clutch line Inside car remove gearstick trim and then the 3 bolts holding the gearstick down Under car remove rear rubber boot and bolt on gearstick (gearstick now pops out) Undo GB to engine bolts – don’t miss the dust plate bottom centre With help slide GB backwards about 3 inches and it will drop out (need a friend to help) Don’t think I missed anything – replace clutch / slave and reverse the above Good Luck
