OK Thought I'd add this first as it was a major change - not that everything else wasn't but I'm quite proud of how it came out - no doubt I will now be flamed but Meh So one of the first problems with the new charge cooler was - It did not fit So we trimmed a bit out to get it in then more and more but that 2nd rad needed moving not much left when we got it all in so ........................... We cut it all out and made a cardboard cover Now I thought that would be fine but others said it would not be good enough for track use So I had a brain storm - expanding foam - it's like duck (duct) tape it fixes loads of things Hmm not feeling it - some shaping is required Better Now all we had to do was cover it in Fibre Glass let it dry and remove the foam - Sorted and marked for inlets

Go on then 20 seconds - good chance I won't get a free lunch at that level I'll need under 1:10 to have a chance - it can be done though (not that I'm that quick lol) This guy is - I dream of being that good/fast
-
Thanks mate, As I said slowest lap buys lunch - I'm sure a man with a 500HP V8 Zed is up for a little challenge and if it's Castle Combe I'll spot you 10 seconds it will be fun and I get a free lunch

Here is a bit of fun, the modified steering wheel - Now has SLM (Shift Light Module) at the top because race car The three buttons are Red - Launch control (no use at the moment but ready for hillclimb and sprint) Blue - Flash all headlights (cause we could ) White - Overtake button, O yes we went there it bypasses the AMS 2000 boost controller speed over boost settings and just gives you max punch - should make getting past @AndyJames easier Keyser

In other news we modified the steering wheel Nah that would be to easy - already painted I'll get pics soon (promise)

Due to Photo Bucket killing this hread I have started again here - Mods can you lock this one please and thankyou.

As I haven't updated the old build thread in months and photo-bucket killed all the pics I thought I would start a new thread with a summary and progress, So we started from here - Currently we are here(ish) But it's been a while getting there The end does appear to be in sight now though after all the usual problems associated with a new build on the dyno - water leak, oil leak, low oil pressure, fuelling issue (thanks Jez @Jez @ H-Dev for the advice) and a radiator rubbing on the cage we eventually finished the dyno on Saturday morning IMG_0618.MOV Run No 071 about 1.5 Bar boost and she is pushing 348.42 HP the 200HP run is spring pressure (6psi) only and the others are various pressures up to 1.5 Bar Happy with that we also did a run at 1.6 - 1.7 bar and she made 382HP however when we tried anything over 1.5 on Saturday we could not hold traction on the dyno. We know she will make over 400 if we could keep the grip but as we are going to be running her on 5 settings from 200 - 300 for the first few track days we never got an absolute max reading still more than happy with what I have for now though I'll try and keep you updated as we do the huge list of things needed to get her ready for track then it's fingers crossed for a bit of nice weather before the end of the year for a track day. 350z How to reset an electric seat with a broken switch
Keyser replied to Dan3820's topic in I.C.E & Electronics
Could be useful I think I have a switch from a seat with a broken motor laying around with the other 350 bits - drop me a PM if you want me to go check -
Must be all the stuff I have been reading on here about EV's I have finally bitten the bullet and got some electric power, I have been wanting to go this way for a while and when the right deal came along I jumped on it. Full AWD as well Hopefully that will make things a bit easier, just going to wait and see if any caravaners point out the obvious (it's not a mistake) but be interested to see who notices. 1-clutch pedal feel buzzy when in really high revs. (I also have some metallic rattle when I lift off at high revs, I think it's the pedal) Probably due to the lightweight flywheel giving more transfer of engine vibration. 2-seems to be slightly harder to get into the gears when in high revs. (More a gear box problem?) I've had a couple of crunches. Clutch probably needs more bleeding or you have a weak slave cylinder (they are notoriously fun to bleed completely) slave cylinders on the HR are better than the VQ but there is an upgrade option. 3-my mechanic said the clutch wasn't "brand new" but refurbished. Is this common when buying a new clutch? The only time I heard about that was some eBay/web company palming off refurbs as new other than that I have not seen/heard of it. (red flag though and if it is a refurb that may be a cause of the "buzzy" feel from question 1 if it is not balanced. 4-the car generally sounds slightly different. Maybe a little bit more throaty in the exhaust. could this be that the engine is revving Freer with the lightened flywheel or could it be that there's a slight air leak? Assuming you have gone from a dual mass clutch to a single mass then the engine will rev more freely and should both increase and decrease rpm quicker, this may give a slightly different engine noise at a comparative rpm but won't make it sound more throaty in my mind, having said that my car sounded completely different after I fitted the multi-plate clutch mostly the rattles Hope that helps

Start by checking clutch slave travel, I would be bleeding the clutch in case an air bubble has got in as well as checking for leaks. As a side note, if you have tracked her and boiled the fluid it would be best to change the fluid and flush it out (may be worth doing that anyway) Good luck
