  1. Not sure if thats a good coment or bad??? HaHa no chance or HaHa the nutters back? You would be suprised at how many of the ladies tell me that as well Stand by for PM's big man.   2. Handbrake was on so will try measuring again in the way you have suggested to see if I get any different figures. The car has done 60k and I expect that springs have never been changed. I know you was joking but it did cross my mind that the majority of time the car will have the weight of the driver only on it. Over time could that affect the sag of the springs? I suppose that logically you put more weight on that side but I'd have to say no unless your made of lead??? More likley a broken spring as leonk said than "uneven" spring wear - Id be looking for mechnical problems when you think how many posts with busted alloys from pot hole etc its not impossible to hit something hard enough to mis-align sometning on the suspension or maybe move an ARB - lot of things going on down there Just a quick thought those that know is the fuel tank of center on the drivers side??? I know it is on my truck and a full tank will make that sink a bit? What did you mean by its off the same amount on the opposite side at the front?
  3. If it was my motor it would be down to the hammering I give the drives side springs being a fat git and all! On a more seriuos note - Could be a worn bush if you have a knock? (but thats a lot of diffence for a bush) Could be bad adjustment you would need it on a proper alingment system to check that. That would also show if any of the adjusters got pushed out of alignment. Just of of intrest was the handbrake on or was it in gear when you stopped and took measurements? It is possible for the car to hold its own suspension from fully returning on the handbrake or against the diff - nice level piece of road and coast to a halt then re check. Just some thoughts with the usual disclaimer - I could be talking complete B****x

Start of the evolution to 500BHP So I casually mentioned to Andlid the other night in "the champagne room" (as he now has his own private chat room ) that I could possibly be interested in buying his old engine or long block from him, the idea was to buy a spare block and over the next 12 months strip it down send it off to the machine shop for some work and over a period of time build a forged bottom end so I can increase the BHP of the Zed without blowing it up! It's turns out that that he actually part exchanged his long block when he got his new forged engine built. He kindly emailed the guy that he part x'd with to see if it was for sale - No. Unfortunately for my bank balance the story didn't end there! This chap just happened to have a forged engine with less than 4 hours running time for sale! This was the spec he sent back - • tomei pro cams • brian crower valve springs and valve caps • 3 angle valve seats • ported cylinder heads • skimmed heads (0.5mm) • OEM full gasket set • shortblock balanced • eagle h-beam rods • arp rod bolts • cp 95.5mm 11.0:1cr forged pistons • acl race main bearings • acl race big end bearings • acl race thrust washers • rev-up oil pump • always (for the 2-3hours its been run) ran lucas 10w-60 fully synth & k&n oil filter & optimax Now I know this would easily do what I wanted but would not be able to afford it but good old Andlid made a sterling effort to get me divorced and put me directly in touch with the seller - I'm afraid he was asking incredibly sensible money for it so only 3 days later I have paid the deposit, should be collecting it the last week in August! The Plan The only down side is I have to step up time scales slightly as this is a long block swap so the engine has to come out of my Zed and be stripped so I can swap it for the new block. I already have some rather nice parts to move over - Vortech Supercharger FMIC Walbro Fuel Pump Utec ECU with Map Selector APS Plenum APS Oil Pan RC550cc injectors Decat Invidia G200 Exhaust Berks HFC's (New) AMS lightweight pulley set (New) JWT Clutch and Flywheel That can all feed power out to the Kaaz LSD The Utec will probably have to go in favour of a remap and the Vortech is getting a 2 step smaller drive pulley (along with a new oil injector thanks for the tip Sam ) to increase the boost slightly. Aiming for 450WHP - initial enquires seem to think this will be very achievable and well inside the abilities of the new bottom end. Although a few factors will come into play - Fuel system, Headers maybe? and the biggest thing that's worrying me about taking this route is detonation I will be running High static CR and low boost as opposed to the more traditional low CR and higher boost - A good tune should allow me to do this but possible further requirements would be a water/meth injection system to keep inlet temps down. Time will tell! A few pics of the engine block build - O and no my garage isn't finished still waiting for planning but I have the ramps ready Build thread to be updated soon ......................

  7. Looks like I'll probably go with the 3.125 as well still above maximum impeller speed at 6800rpm!!! Can't find the drive belt listed on superchargeronline They do have the pulleys - email on its way to them

Thanks for the tip I need to run 10 - 11 PSI to hit target so I was looking at the 2.87, however as I will be increasing the revs to 7,500 the SC will spin past 60,000 which is above Vortech recommendation! So keep the revs down or go for the 3.12 Hmm need to do a bit more research on this - would also need to check my belt size as it may be slightly longer due to the pinch roller setup. The 3.12 and 2.87 non revup both use a 93 inch gates belt but 93.5 and 93.75 have been used with the additional rollers. Will keep you informed of my progress and let you know before I order, have about 30 emails out today sorting stuff out getting info etc, including a possible piggy back of some parts from the states on another pallet coming in - big savings on P&P all round if we can do it, the P&P nearly doubles the cost!

  12. Looks good - I'd be to worried to have the pipes under the car I can hit the plastic pan at the moment Also the standard kits I've looked at are no good with FMIC need to move it all the way to the other side.

  14. As above no sound just wind sorry. The diff is awesome had some sideways action and so controllable mate grip is incerdible compared to my last Zed but I think the tyres anti roll bars and suspension account for that. I'm more happy with it now than I was before it's bloody great. O and I NEED AN OIL COOLER

If you prefer wind noise the original is available - Cant hear a thing mate Set the oil temp alarm of every time except that run after lunch!!! (why do you think I let Captain pass me? ) I have in car footage as well you can hear it going if you really really want to That Camera was "mounted" taped to the towing eye on the front mate The other camera is showing the wrong date for some reason so kudos fail I NEED AN OIL COOLER

I took a video camera and all the bits brought my daughter along as chief photographer and do you think Captain would have an off NO No mini's in our group that's what it was! Pleasure to meet Captain and Pimm today, Love Pimm's sleek looking Azure. OK so first track day for me in the SC Zed and what a day! I had a great time shame Captain had to leave early due to brake problems - The guy in the GT2 was asking if everything was OK mate, sends his best and hopes its nothing to serious. I may have had the Captain out car'd but hats off to the man, he can drive an auto and he knows Castle Combe way better than me! So obviously you've all watched Captains video please note the only thing that passes us is the GT3RS my good that thing was quick! Anyway I thought if he can go that quick and I have all the bits on mine I need to try harder So I took some brave pills got me spare undies out and put the loud pedal on the floor, result Total Domination Nothing passes the Zed!!!!!!!!!
