  1. If your using your 350 as a drift car your going to be eating tyres and it really won't matter - If you want to use it on the road at best it will wear tyres quicker at worst it won't handel well at all.
  2. Hello and Welcome good luck with the plan
  3. Run your finger nail up the disk if it has a noticable lip around the outside be worried - groves around th disk in the middle should not be there the whole disk should be smooth and clean no marks or bits stuck on it from th pads - if your hearing grinding it may be the pads down to metal or very close so check sooner rather than later. I run PF front discs and DS2500 pads - but I'm having a small problem on track at the moment, for 1 or 2 days a year standard discs with better pads would do fine - Upgrades will do better Everyone has ther own opinions on pads do a search, Change the discs if the need it otherwise just go for some better pads O change the fluid anyway and get the right stuff it does make a difference IMO Disclaimer : The above post is my own PERSONAL OPINION and DOES NOT REPRESENT the official position of any company or entity. It DOES NOT constitute mechanical advice.
  4. Thats just a little bit of information I could have used earlier
  5. Come up to Combe for a day - You get asighting lap with an instructor, go in NTT (new to track) and you can have an instructor for free in car as well. I'll be going once more this year if I get the weather come along its great fun - No drifting though! I live in Ferndown about 90 minute drive.
  6. 1. Take the wheel off and have a look at how much pad is left if its down to a few few mm (or nothing) they need changing. 2. For track use , for road do you want an upgrade or standard replacment? 3. Easy - lik any other car if you know a spanner from a scewdriver you should be OK and there is a guide on here as well Check your discs for scoring and a lip - if you have either I suggest you change them.
  7. It was fun - I always wondered how far you could go with an angle grinder on a plenum ... found out when Buster supplied one The look on his face when I picked it up and started on it was classic though! Mind you it did feel lighter when we finished. The Zed fired up first flick after the mod .... must have got it mostly right Zugara - the gloves come like that (probably why I get em cheap) I've told you lot before I only wear gloves so I don't chip my nails
  8. Have you seen the REME mechs drive ???? Sorry boys
  9. Hello and Welcome Both Kidneys and a lung if (when) you start to mod it
  10. Can't say I blame you!!! My Hilux pickup cost £45 less to insure than my first N/A 350 I've given up trying to work it out ??!!
  11. This is Buster so he never has passengers I did tell him it would be worth going for a good long run in the Zed (instead of just using her for the shopping) see if it helps at all Not sure where he filled up he did say he didn't usually use this petrol station?! If it still doesn't cure it he has booked it in with me I have a set of old standard cats 2 sets of Berks and a set of test pipes should find something he likes
  12. All I can tell you from speaking to the owner is - It is completley untouched and standard according to him- I have his email address (so we can swap pictures) if you want to ask him Given the weather, lack of weight in the back and the power of it he put on a dam good show and passed me on the wet laps - never got to have a drag with him as so many pepole went home due to the rain we ended up swapping groups to keep the numbers more even. Its bloody huge!!!!!!
  13. To wet for the cams sorry Ian Will do mate
  14. Is it rotten egg smell???? THE CULPRIT: Hydrogen sulfide in the exhaust, which is produced by trace amounts of sulfur in gasoline. It's supposed to be converted to sulfur dioxide in your catalytic converter. This may be indicative of a fuel-injection problem, and can be cured by a sharp mechanic. But often it means a failed catalytic converter.
  15. Actually it was a 540 but 360 sounded better Went up to Castle Combe today for a bit more track time, about 20 minutes before the start the skies opened and we went out onto a very wet race track Start of the 3rd lap I thought I can use more than 10% throttle so I gave it 12% coming out of Quarry Corner FAIL round we went - no damage no worries but I couldn't do a thing it was funny - MX5, Honda Civic, a CRX and even a Diesel BMW waved as they passed Anything with less than 200HP and road tyres passed me it was just me an older 911 and 2 TVR's tiptoeing round the circuit at the back. Little dryer the second session but I couldn't even put my foot down in a straight line I just spun the wheels and fishtailed down the track! Not many on track photos this time as my photographer has found being a passenger (even in th wet) is much more fun However before you flame me for letting the forum down do not despair for there was backup Only turned out to be G.I Ginge, and he did a valiant job of showing that it was only the FI boys on a go slow as he munched his way around the field passing a Lotus. GTR and I think even a Ferrari at one point. This was also out in the rain- Any way the Petrol Head Gods gave us a break before lunch the skies cleared the sun came out (if only briefly) and some hot laps were put in AWESOME After lunch I swapped passengers with G.I Ginge and as he impressed my daughter with his driving finesse, I made every effort to rearrange his cousins internal organs using only G-Force (I think I did an OK job of it) Few other cars from the paddock - All in all a fun day out
  16. Well worth the effort mate
  17. I got a different one from Halfords - charger and booster/starter was a bit worried at first as the leads didnt look heavy enough but it does the job well. Will get the model for you tomorrow I also ve an optimate that I use when the car is parked up for more than a day or two - does a brilliant job http://www.amazon.co.uk/OptiMate-4-Batt ... 178&sr=8-1
