  1. Sorry Neil - had to be done mate - You can guess where I happened to be today Nice seats Couldn't get a look under the hood as she was all locked up. Didn't look to bad mate - backs very bare inside looks so different like that, think yours is due in the "other" workshop very soon
  2. Spotted this little beauty today looks familiar from some where?? The owner was no where to be seen - If those seats hadn't been bolted in
  3. 260 and there is a 300ZX hiding just out of shot
  4. Me!!!! you put one end of that bar on But yeah I will Phew BTW well done on sorting it mate
  5. Always one switched on cookie in the crowd - 100% correct and you could have joined the debate in chat last week that went on all week over what was leaking why and what to do about it. I did point out that the gasket didn't do the plug pipes. Apparently this is a common problem - you would only know if it was happening if you changed your plugs though! So as we had a plenum spacer to fit - waltzinblack second home is apparently at airsoft just down the road and we all had nothing better to do on a Saturday we went for the good old bodge it method - silicone gasket sealant - we have no idea if it will work so we will have a look after a few hundred miles if he still has oil in the plug pipes then it will be time to get new cam covers. I stand by to be flamed by any and all traders and members with more experience on this problem than me!
  6. Never mind mate - we all have days like that better luck next weekend Double check the pistons are all the way back and see if you have a lip in the edge of the disks - that can make em tight Zed Shed is available for modding (by appiontment only)
  7. Well as I have the photo's I got volunteered to start the thread waltzinblack came down to the Zed Shed on Saturday to show us his modding skills and for a little repair to his cam covers. Of course the other regular at the Zed Shed is Buster who (while still on his honeymoon) came over to keep us all supplied with cold drinks polish and his years (he has a lot - of years that is ) of experience. So we quickly NOT - had to wait 2 hours for the car to cool down - stripped the upper and lower plenum to get to the cam covers We found the offending leaky plug tube So cam cover came off Now this is a serious business and we had waltz on spanners and Buster on the camera Once we put that lot back together with nice new gaskets sent over by speed mail by Andlid waltzinblack did his bit - Nice new plenum spacer - Was it hot or was he that worried - he is certainly sweating a bit All in place - So bolted everything back together and went for a test drive All the bits we saved Not really The Zeds running fine but waltzinblack is currently investigating whether the cross strut brace is touching the engine as he seems to have developed a vibration Sorry mate hope its just the brace needs a bit of tweaking - let me know. Finally the Zed Shed living up to its name.

  11. Hello and Welcome O and coldel Blacks not a colour so it can't be the fastest "black is the absence of all colours in terms of light mixing. Colours in this context are different wavelengths of light that stimulate our eyes in different ways." GM FTW

  13. Well as some of you are aware I am a man with many projects So I thought I'd let you all know that I have actually finished the first one ...... Ladies and gentlemen boys and girls without further ado I give you THE ZED SHED(drum roll please) My good lady wife decided that my tools should not be in a tool box but be neatly attached to the wall??!!! Do I hear mumblings of anally retentive?? Thanks Honey These "engine bay" lights came, along with some of the other lights from our very own NeilP - They haven't warmed up in the picture as after about 10 minutes it's like staring into the sun (only brighter) Thanks mate. waltzinblack has very kindly agreed to drive all the way from London this weekend to give the Zed Shed a test before my baby goes in In case the lights melt the paint or fall off the wall Comments welcome - Including sarcastic ones .....
